Problem thanks symptoms and conditions

I've had the Mirena twice now..Once after my first child and now after my second. I had problems the first time but my family and docs just kept saying it was all in my head-they still say the same things. So I decided to give it another shot. Once again I hate it!! I just had it placed this second time in Jan.-mainly for my husband. I have yet to stop bleeding, I have awful cramps all the time, acne, sore breasts, bloated stomach..etc..I'm trying really hard to lose my remaining baby weight and the last thing I need is something adding more weight! When I tell people what I've read on this site they say everyone is crazy that Mirena couldn't cause such things..If that were true than why do all of us have the same problems? We can't all be crazy! I want mine out but my doctor always gives me a hard time and I pretty much beg him to take it out. I don't understand why this thing is still on the market! After all these awful things being posted I'd think somebody would do something about it. I suffer with bad anxiety and I think the Mirena is making it worse...Anybody else have this problem?? Thanks for all the posts! Maybe together we can get the word out and stop others from going through what we have!

My son is 7 years old and was put on singulair for his asthma and allergies, my daughter who is 10, had been on it for over 2 years.
My son started experiencing, night terrors, out burst of crying, difficult to make decisions.
Anxiety attacks, panic attacks, did not want to go to school. After seeing his Doctor it was suggested that we pull him off the medicine. We started noticing changes within a few weeks. Please watch your child closely if on this drug. My daughter did not have side effects however we have taken her off this medicine also.
I would really be careful with this drug. Our family was in complete terror, watching your child struggling like this. USE CAUTION, IF YOU DECIDE TO TAKE THIS MEDICINE....

Hi all, I'm sorry to hear of all the bad side effects that everyone has experienced. I've had my mirena for a little over a year now and I haven't had any of these side effects as far as I know. I'm a little surprised that some of you only had some cramps when you got it inserted. Mine was excruciating and I felt sick and almost passed out. However, since then I have felt great physically and have not had any major problem. I had one period after insertion and that has been it for a year. It's awesome! The only thing that I am wondering is that after I have intercourse I do experience some weird pain and pressure for a couple of days afterwords. I didn't know if these are the cysts that they speak of or if its normal, but thats always kinda worried me. Do any of you have this problem? Thanks

Thank god I read this. I have been on Aviane for about 1 1/2 now. I was fine for the first few months.

Then I started losing my hair which girls usually do but for me I never ever lost hair, in my brush on my clothes, in the shower never lost hair and I am noticing for the last few months that I have been losing considerable amounts of hair and I've been wondering how this could be all of a sudden.

and I have been so mean to my boyfriend, I thought I was just so unhappy at this point in my life. I found myself nagging for no reason at all but just to do it. and I'll tell you he is absolutely perfect and I have no reason at all to be unhappy in our relationship. I'm not the kind to have mood swings of any kind or suffer depression, I have always been very pleasant.

I started suspecting my bc even though I had been on it for a while. 2 months ago, while on my sugar pills (and I don't think I have to remind you but my period, which is supposed to be our "crazy time of the month") within in a day of not being on this bc, that entire week was the most pleasant I can remember being this whole past year. So again one more month I take this bc, again bitchy, nagging, crying for no reason at all after one day of being back on the pill!

I just can't believe that "pmsing" while not on the pill gives me a more pleasant attitude than taking Aviane!!! I thought I was just depressed thank god I found this website, I am switching immediately!

On another note, I haven't had any side effects like breakouts, not anymore than the usual one or two a month, no cramping, no migraines. But I have been noticing busted blood vessels, quite a few on my arms and one under my eye. I am relatively young, early 20's, I thought it may have a side effect like this because of the heart, blood clotting, strokes etc. anyone else with that problem???

I am having a Tubal Ligation and Ablation in June and was supposed to have my Mirena removed at that time. I decided with encouragement from my husband to have it removed this Friday. I am hopelessly tired of living this way and can't wait to have it removed. I am a little scared about the pain and bleeding but one month is not a long time to wait for surgery that will help (I hope). I am 43 years old and hoping to feel like myself again before this was inserted. I too walked around not believing that the Mirena could cause these issues but my husband keeps saying-"could all of you ladies be wrong, could all of you ladies really be telling the same story when you don't even know each other". That's when it hit me that maybe i am not crazy, maybe this is not due to "OLD AGE" (43-is not old). I will come back on line after this is out and let you know how i feel. I just pray that this is really the solution to the problem.

I had to discontinue Niaspan due to intolerable side effects. My doctor has prescribed a new medication called SIMCOR which has only been on the market for about 3 weeks. This is a combination of Zocor & Niaspan but the side effects are supposed to be much more tolerable. Has anyone else been prescribed this drug and if so....how are things???? I will begin using mine tonight.

I posted my experience with Levaquin back in January 2008. It's been three months since my initial reaction to Levaquin. I was in terrible pain then and I could barely walk. It has been three months now and I am still in a lot of pain and the pain in my lower back is worse. However, I can walk better now. I have yet to find a doctor who can help me or who even believes that Levaquin caused this. If anyone out there has a physician who believes that Levaquin can cause this damage and who is competent to treat this problem, PLEASE email me with his or her name. I am willing to travel to wherever I need to travel to to get some relief from this. If nothing else it would be great to have a doctor who understands the problem. Thanks. I just started 80 mg of Prednisone for Vasculitis in my kidney’s. I also have RA. This treatment is being augmented with low dose chemotherapy. The Chemo is nothing compared with the side effects of the Prednisone. It is Horrible. It has so messed with my brain I never knew what an awful existence obsessive compulsives live. I can’t sit still and stop doing things if there is anything left undone! I have trouble with controlling my emotions, responses etc. Thinking isn’t easy either. And I’m awake most of the night. (Not a bad thing since we just were blessed with twins however). But it is really straining my relationship with my 6 year old son who can’t understand why his Dad goes from nice dad to mad dad in a second. I’ve also have horrid muscle fatigue in my legs. For me this is the worst because getting up and moving and walking up stairs is almost impossible. And I was hiking up to 5 miles in rough terrain just a few weeks ago. I’ve actually LOST 10 lbs.

So I am wondering if anyone has any tips, tricks or ideas they have found to combat the muscle fatigue? It would be greatly appreciated if you could share any ideas you have. I’ve been drinking water and electrolyte replacements, (G-2, the new Gatorade) but that has not solved the problem.

I have found since taking this drug that my bowel movements are very difficult. I am not actually constipated, but feel almost impacted. I have never experience this problem before, and attribute it directly to this drug. I am curious if I am alone in this problem.

i've been on synthroid for 9 years. started at some low dose and gradually went up to112 mg. get extreme itching all day everyday if i don't take allegra for that.not a rash just itching. that doesn't bother me as much as the fatique. every joint in my body aches all the time. sure there are better days but fo rthe most part it's bad. tried physical therapy and chiripratic care but no avail. they ended my sessions. my legs get sooo weak and my feet burn lower back really aches. sometimes muscle cramps. i'm very negative towards my loving family and it hurts me to do so. can't seem to keep upbeat. soo tired all the time.
is it the syntroid? i used to be very energenic and a doer. now i have spurts of activity in the morning , but then i just can't get motivated. help me any suggestions?

Thanks for all this info. Took one 500mg pill at 4pm today,had severe pain in right lower leg about 4 hours later.Thought it was varicose vein problem,even though the pain was differrent.I will never again get a prescription filled unless i look it up on the net first.Usually i do not even take any meds, but i was so sick( or so i thought ). The side effects can be worse than the problem. Thanks to this site and all you who told your stories, may you all find some relieve, you saved me and many others i am sure.

I have had constant dry eyes since on this pill, dry skin, and rashes on my hands/face. Did anyone else notice this too? All the other symptoms disappeared after 3 packs on the pill, but these dry eyes. Since I have another eye condition this could be a problem.

I do have some bloating, but I have been on it for months now. I took Nexium which caused to to feel dizzy, and I had stomach cramps. However, my feet started swelling recently. Does anyone else have this problem.

I just got off the pill and I was wondering if anyone else has this problem I've been have discharge from my breast. It seems very weird to me. Let me know if anyone else has had this problem.

ive been taking this medacation for 4 months it was good at first for afew weeks and then i developed this rash on my hands that i could tear my skin off with the ich,i went to the doctors and went on medications for my hands.they wont clear,i couldent think of what i might be doing or taking some thing different.then i relilized it all started when i went on this medacation .i stopped taking the lisinopril and it seems to be working,the ich is stopping, and it looks like it was all caused by the medication .any one with this problem.thanks to all of you what i read im really glad i got off of the med
