my insertion was so bad i literally almost kicked the doctor as an instant reaction and yelled a cuss word... i had a c section delivery so pain full doesn't even describe that pain it was unbearable.. but the cramping starting the moment after insertion to about a month ago was i think worse then the c section pain id be at work almost on the floor in a ball crying in pain and the doctor said take Tylenol it will go away and nevvvvver did... i still get random cramps and sharp pains

i never had bv until i was pregnant during the pregnancy i had it one time and thought it was gone... after i got the mirena put in ive have 4 cases of bv this is November., and 3 uti's.. i got the mirena in march i believe... that is not good for my body to be on antibiotics like that ... lately ive been having terrrrrible pain when i pee like above my pubic bone.. my first thought was a uti ... went to er hoping to get an antibiotic once again... blood urine ctscan everything was normal... er doctor said its probably my mirena and i should get it taken out... i called my obgyn and she insisted i keep it in and thats not the mirena giving me those pains!!! why are these doctors so against taking it out i mean i'll get on the pill i don't care i thought the mirena would be handy u know not worrying about missing a pilll!!! wellllll i wish would have never decided to get it in ive had painful sex , very emotional, pain in general, it terrible...

alssssso my boyfriend and i obviously do not use condoms bc the birth control... now we have to use them bc hes been having a burning sensation when he pees like so bad and painful to where his legs almost buckle ... he was talking to his best friend about it and he said hes experiencing the sammmmme thing and his girl is on mirena ... they've come to the conclusion theyyyy are having a reaction to the hormone released from the mirena and it makes complete sense i don't care condom or no condom it doesn't bother me... but its the fact ... he said he felt it at one point which the doctor said your boyfriend shouldn't feel a thing... sorry if thats tmi but while having sex i feel it bad and it ruins the mood for sex with me at least...

i didn't have a pd for roughly 3 months now its heavy and clotty... then the next day nothing then the next clotty again im soooooo sick of it thank god i stumbled across this sight in search if the reaction my man was having... but now i don't feel alone for all my problems ive been having!!!!

I'm a 20 year old female, 125 lbs, exercise everyday, and eat very well. I recently had an the mirena IUD put in after a year on depo provera. I cramped for about a week after insertion and then started to have pain on the left side near my pubic bone. I also was having nausea, blurry vision, difficultly focusing my eyes, dizziness, severe chest pains, and a pin prick sensation along with hot flashes all over my body. After finding this site, I called my doctor who didn't believe that the mirena was causing this, even though many of these are listed as severe side effects. I'm a 20 year old woman! Why would i suddenly develop some disease that made me feel this way? Despite her claims that the mirena wasn't responsible, the chest pains were unbearable and the uterine pain was shooting down my legs. I demanded to have it out. One day later the uterine pain was significantly better and my vision was back to normal. I still have slight chest pains but they have diminished appropriately. the hormone in mirena has a half life of about a day and a half so in two days it should be completely out of my system and the chest pains should subside. To conclude, if you are having these side effects and have no other conditions, try getting the mirena removed. It fixed me completely.

I had my mirena inserted in Dec. 2007 (shortly after I delivered my daughter via c-section). My libido took a nose dive right away, I became really irritable, bloated, and I would get sharp pains just above my pubic bone. Not long after all that, my face started developing these little bumps, that short of resemble a zit, only they don't go away, and you can try to "pop" them like a zit. They started slowly, a few near my chin, and now they have traveled up to my cheeks, and under my eyes, and a few on my forehead. I had the mirena removed Sept 2008, and now a month. and an antibiotic lotion later, they are still there. I wouldn't have jumped the gun in thinking that the mirena had caused the bumps, until I started talking to a few of my friends. One who had hers inserted in Dec. as well, has even worse bumps on her face, and has an appt to have hers removed in 2 weeks., another who loves the mirena, but can't figure out why her face it getting these bumps!
They feel like zits, and kind of hurt, but when you mess with them nothing comes out, and they get more red, and spread. My fam doctor, prescribed Clindamycin, and it has done nothing but dry my skin out. Going to a derm today...wish me luck :)

Hi, njcukett posted 2 days ago asking if anyone is still having abdominal pain after being off singuliar awhile. My 7 yr.old (on singuliar at least 3 yrs.) is still having pain. She also had bladder issues for the past 2 yrs.(Frequent dripping and urgency to void). This went unexplained by doctors.Over the past 6 weeks since she stopped taking singuliar,I have noticed a complete change in her stools. While on singuliar they had become grayish in color. She would have 2-3 of these movements a day.The color of her stools are now normal, but the lower abdominal pain is still present. So I am wondering if the pain is coming from the bladder, not the stomach.I am going in(without my daughter) to discuss this with her pediatrician next week.Singuliar also made her very anxious,do not want to add to that,by discussing this in front of her.For the people having abdominal pain, did the stools change while on singuliar compared to when off?Just curious.

I've been using Nuvaring for 3 cycles now. during the entire first cycle I had periodic nausea, which was intense and not fun at all! I havn't had that since and I've heard it's common to have it at first. The only other thing I've experienced is a dull, throbbing cramping feeling in my lower abdomen, just above by pubic bone. This too, is dissipating with time.

The Nuva Ring is the only birth control that works for me (the others i can't remember to take or they cause my depression to get even worse). I had some itching within the first few weeks but that went away and for the past 6 months things have been good. The only problem I really had was it slipping out, but I figured how to make it stay (angled with one side hooking behind cervix and the other resting on the pubic bone) so it's all good now.
