Phentermine (the generic for Adipex) tends to give me some strange side effects. I get random spots on my arms or head where it is fuzzy feeling and I get a patch of goose bumps. I do not have as much of cotton-mouth as I do with Adipex. Both phentermine and adipex have been wonderful! With not only the pill, but proper diet and exercise, I have lost as much as even 11 lbs. in a week. I love the extra boost!

I was on Levaqin for a week (500 mg) for bronchitis. It seemed to work and I didn't notice any side effects and I am usually sensitive to antibiiotics (dizziness, etc..). However, the day after I finished my last dose I developed an itchy rash on my outer thighs, my back, my underarms and a few other random places. I also now have a yeast infection which I guess is a common side effect. The rash is what concerns me. At first I thought it wouldn't be related because it came on after I finished the antiobitcs but after reading some of these posts I see that you can get rash after taking the medication. Has anyone else had a rash AFTER taking Levaquin?

I have been taking Remicade for years. At first it was getting the job done. I started having severe pain that seemed to migrate to different places in my body. Sometimes the bottom of my feet would get so tender I could barely walk. My finger would bend while sleeping and I could not straighten it for days and it would hurt real bad. Knees and ankles would do the same things and then move onto other parts of my body. I thought it was more of a tendon problem, but the pain could also be in any random spots on my body, like shins or maybe a random place on my back. My wrists seem to be a favorite place too. The pain can set in fast and sometimes leave fast. Prednisone is the only thing that seems to help these symptoms. I have been taking 5mg a day for years and when I am having problems that is not enough. I went to a Rheumatologist and he says it is not the Remicade but another antimmune problem. My family doctor thinks it is a side affect of the Remicade and I tend to agree with him. I am going to have my damaged pouch removed in hopes of getting off all medications. I have been living with a colostomy bag for the past three years and it is the least of my problems. Before that I had all my large intestines removed and a pouch which worked well for approx 15 years. I am one of the early people to receive that kind of surgery. I can only pray for all of you that are suffering and lend hopeful advise to your journey.

I'm 27, and have never taken BCP's before.
I've been on Yasmin nearly 4 weeks with few side effects (one unacceptable).
Bad: After 2 weeks on Yasmin, I developed unbelievable scalp itchiness (never before) to the point of wanting to scratch holes in my head. Often. Random spots of amazing itchiness (arms, ears, chest, legs, back, hands) arrived a few days later that rival contact dermatitis in severity. There is nothing else I can attribute this to besides Yasmin (I hope it is not allergy based, as I basically have no allergies).
I've tolerated the itching for nearly 2 weeks, and will give it another 6 to see how it goes. It's not an acceptable side-effect.
Otherwise, I've just gotten slight spotting (skipping placebo pills) and a decrease in sex-drive. Not impressed. I had no sex-drive for 2 years because of a prolactin secreting pituitary tumour. Once that was treated, my sex-drive was amazing. Everyone should be able to feel like that! I'm attuned to that now, and it is diminished. Will give Yasmin a trial though. Sadly a catch-22, since I'm taking it because I've found someone special.
Good (?) side-effect: Oh my god, I've lost my chocolate-drive. I enjoy one chocolate, not most of a packet like I used to. Could not believe this. Hormones are amazing.
Sorry to hear all the serious side-effects posted here. I hope you all find what is right for you. Without quality of life, what is left? Best wishes.

I was prescribed bactrim on April 8th for a UTI they gave me one pill while I was there and i went straight to the pharmacy to get my prescription. With in the first two hours of taking the pill I got nauseous. I just assumed it was because on top of the UTI I also had what I think was just a bug. I was already having a fever before I went to the doctor. I felt nauseous before but this time I felt like I was about to puke I just assumed it was from moving around too much. Over the next few days I would get the same sick feeling within hours of taking the pill. On the 11th I started noticing itching and I was turning yellow. On the 12th I went to the ER where they decided to test me for hepatitis because of all the symptoms I was having. The doctor also said shes never heard of it affecting the liver but she took me off the pill. By the 13th my palms were itching. The skin around my eyes was red, really dry and peeling. I was told I don't have hep but I'm allergic to Bactrim and it was affecting my liver. My eyes have cleared up but today I still have really dry skin and some areas are peeling really badly. The skin on the palms of my hands and on my feet peeled off like a glove. I have random spots all over my body that are extremely dry and peeling. My skin feels really grainy even after the piece that peeled off. Oh yeah also while I was on the pill I would get a tightness in my chest almost like I couldn't breathe.
