I have been on Bupropion SR for about a month now. I had severe depression stemming from past incidents that I was unable to get over on my own. I started at 150 mg once a day and the first 2 days I felt nothing. The third day I caught myself grinning and laughing! However, on the 5th day, my doctor upped it to 150 mg twice a day. After the fourth day of that I started feeling irritable and tired. After a week of it I started feeling dizzy, nausea, anxiety, shaky, and just generally weird. I went to a different doctor and told her the symptoms and she reduced me to 100 mg twice a day. The dizziness is gone but the irritability is still present although manageable if I just think before I speak. I also have lost about 5 pounds. I notice that some days I have no appetite and others I am ravenous. The worst side effect so far is the anxiety. I have never had it before and now when the least little event or conflict is present I start getting a churning feeling in my stomach and restlessness. As for insomnia, I do stay up too late but once I force myself into bed I pass right out. I get sleepy around 2:00pm which is when I take the second pill and sometimes can't stop myself from falling asleep at my computer at work. My dreams were more intense and lucid when I was on 300mg a day but they seem to have gone back to normal now.

I have been prescribed 20 sulfaameth/trimneth for an injury to my hand. On the second day of usage I developed what seemed like jock itch! I got progressively worse and I visited my dermatologist who was baffeled untill I mentioned the sulfameth. He was familliar with the rashes caused by the drug and instructed me to stop taking it, which I already had. Its been two days and it still has yet to subside completely. I also, had a ravenous appitite which has decreased as well, thankfully.

I've posted before.. so this is a continuing story. Hope it helps some of you. And I REALLY hope some of you will put your thots down so we can all learn.
I've been on 10 mg a day for almost a month now.. tapered off from 30mg/day for a month to 25mg/day for a month and then tapered it down to 10 for the last 4+ weeks. There is some reduction in side-effects but trust me I still have plenty. Anyone care to join me ? Id be happy to share.
I occasionally get nasty leg cramps that wake me in the middle of the night and occasionally cramps in my hands and just about anywhere else I 'stretch' weirdly.. No clue why.
I have lost quite a bit of the moon face (not all). I can't tell if I've lost some of the buffalo hump or gotten used to it. Hope it's smaller !!
My appetite is still ravenous BUT I can control it. Therefore my weight is staying under control (a really good thing even though we're only alking 3-5 lbs from normal).
Most of the other side effects are still there.. fat deposits, somewhat moody, tingly feeling, and pimples/acne. The good news.. they are (to me) obviously diminished !
There is hope !!
If things continue well with the post transplant tests the pred will be reduced in 2 weeks to 7.5/day ! Cross those fingers ! :)

I took Zyprexa for a year after a trip to the hospital. It knocked me out in the evening. I've gained about 20 lbs. Now, I want to lose it. The first time I tried to quit taking it suddenly and at the same time quit taking birth control pills. Big mistake. I went into a major depression and couldn't get off the couch or bed. I went back on it for a couple weeks. Now, I'm tapering off. I noticed that my appetite went from ravenous while on Zyprexa, to wanting to barf at the sight of food now that I'm off it. It's been about two weeks, I'm down to a quarter tablet every other day now, just to wean off. I, too, felt like my emotions were limited. However, the Zyprexa kept my heart from racing. I can't afford the drug. Sleeping is going to be my biggest issue. I haven't been diagnosed I don't think, but I think I'm bi-polar.

I have been on Yaz for 9 days. About a year ago I was on Yasmin and didn't notice any significant changes. In the past year, I haven't been taking BC - but my bf and I decided to try this method of contraceptive. My periods were always fairly short (4 to 5 days) and spaced about 30 to 35 days apart. I also NEVER had cramps or any other symptoms during my period. Well, it's my 9th day on Yaz. My period still has not ended. I have never had my period for this long! Also, for the past 2 to 3 days, I have been experiencing INCREDIBLE cramps. I had to lie down last night I was in so much pain. I am also experiencing mild nausea and horrible dirrhea. I've also gone up a cup size and my breasts are very sore and sensitive. My appetite is horrendous - I feel ravenous! I haven't had the courage to step on a scale, but I am sure that weight gain has occured.

I can't decide whether to stop taking Yaz or wait a month or two to see if the symptoms will clear.
