Realize that this symptoms and conditions

Hey all! I have been on yasmin for 6 weeks, and have nothing but side effects the first week it was feeling like i had morning sickness only all day. Then i had headaches almost everyday..irratable and moody..my stomach starting feeling really bad a few weeks ago and now i feel sick allll the time all day long..recently now i feel light headed and weak..tired very depressed. Thank god i found this site..it has helped me realize that this pill is not for me..!! Im getting off as of today!!

Unfortunately I also experienced such side effects from Levaquin to the degree that I feel I was poisoned. I was prescribed Levaquin April 2004 and a week later developed a 2" x 1" oval rash on my front hip area and had severe muscle aches and joint pain. My doctor prescribed a fungus cream for the rash (what???) and ran extensive blood and urine tests. The rash began multiplying daily until it covered half my entire body.
More tests (scared me to death -testing for Lupis, HIV, Hepatitis, etc.)
After all negative, he suggested I see a dermatologist and an allergist.
Rash worsened, could not sleep at all, not sure if it was from constant itch?? Non of the prescriptions from the dermatologist worked but a sample packet of "sarna or sarno?" helped dull the itch. Now it was a month since I started the Levaquin. A friend drags me to the ER. They actually get a cop in there to ask me if I have been beaten...um, no...I did it to my self..All the itching has caused me to scratch myself to the point of bruising all over. They ran a few tests and came running in with 2 doses of benedryl shots...said my eosinophils level was off the charts and that I had been having an alergic reaction to "something". Ah!! (duh!!) So I go home and search the internet... severe red rash, itching, insomnia, muscle aches, joint pain, allergic reaction....what comes up...levaquin levaquin and more levaquin. How did my own doctor who prescribed this to me not realize that this was an allergic reaction??? Most of my symtoms subsided 6 weeks later (after filling the scrips from the er for benadryl, prednisone and something else) but it was truly 6 weeks of hell and for a while there, I did not think it was ever going to end. Hope this info helps anyone who thinks they may be having a reaction to levaquin.

I used NuvaRing for my last semester (~5 months) in college, so when I was looking for birth control (besides condoms) again I told the doctor I was not as interested in the NR due to previous experience. I told her that I had felt depressed overall, and I spent at least a week crying in bed when I first started it back then. She told me that those side effects were not common, stated the low-dose of estrogen, etc etc. I thought maybe it was the stress from college, and agreed to give it a second try. I wanted something more convenient than the pill and the low-dose appealed to me.

After trying it again, I know I was not being crazy the first time. This website also helped me realize that this is a lot more common than I thought. I put in my new ring two weeks ago. I didn't spend those two weeks severely depressed, but after about a week or so I began to get very high-strung and irritated by small things. Minor incidents left me in tears, I felt restless and insecure, paranoid, and generally unhappy. When I was visitting family for a weekend my father claimed that I seemed a lot more paranoid and unsettled than he had ever seen me, and I played it off for lack of sleep and the stress from travelling. Nothing changed over the next week, though.

This past weekend I had oddly severe lower back pain, which I never suffer from. I spent a few hours in bed crying. My boyfriend asked me what was the matter and all I could say was "I'm not happy." Later in the weekend I said "Why have I been so unhappy for the past two weeks?" and he urged me to take out the ring. When we got home I took it out and it was a breath of fresh air. I felt better immediately... I felt more at peace and my entire body felt relaxed.

A health consultant told me that reactions to hormone based birth control can depend on the "type" of estrogen used in the dose. It would be interesting to find out how the chemicals in NR compare to those in combined oral contraceptive pills. At any rate, no more NuvaRing for me!

I was taking Levaquin for a sinus infection and had very bad leg tremors mainly in the groin area. I also had pain behind my knee. After reading many articles on Levaquin, i realize that this is a side effect of the drug. I will never take it again!

I am stunned at what I am reading. I have been on Yasmin for about 3 years and I have had a really rough 2.5 years. Mostly depression and my moods are up and down. That has been tough because I married 2.5 years ago and moved to a new state. I thought it was because of that even though I know myself and that I thought I would handle it better. I know that there would definatly be a greiving time of leaving my family, but 2.5 years....I did ask my doctor about this and they did the same, suggested anti-depressants, which I just didn't want to do yet, so I just said I would see later if I felt better. Anyway, I did not realize that this could be the pill. I have had horrible headaches for the past year and a half and I thought that it might be the pill but the doctor reassured me that this was one of the best pills to be on and maybe it was just stress related. This is crazy, good crazy, news to me. Now I don't feel as crazy as I have made myself feel. I stopped taking my Yasmin about 3 weeks ago. I am feeling very bloated and I did have bleeding for a couple of days this past week. Is that a side effect that any of you have had?? I was a little concerned when I started bleeding that I went to the doctors, she said that I would need to wait a couple of weeks to make sure that I wasn't pregnant and if I was still bleeding then to call her. I feel tired and foggy and like I said, very bloated. Do these things go away?? When?? One thing I do know is that I will never go back on this pill again. Thank you to all of you for speaking out. Since taking Diovan for a year I have experienced extreme bloating, weight gain, muscle camps and tingling, nausea, fatigue and insomnia. My doctor says I complain lot.
