I've been on Yasmin for probably over 2 years now. I was taking it continuously for endometriosis but if I forgot one pill or took it later than usual I would start BLEEDING, not spotting, and a lot of bloating and cramping. I also had a lot of stomach problems when I bled and I just got so very frustrated with the bleeding, stomach pain & bloating as well as the severe cramping that comes with endometriosis. Well I stopped the darn pills for about 2 weeks but I was worried about getting pregnant so I decided to get back on them. First off, I have noticed in the past week since I re-started the pills that I am getting cystic acne which is very distressing to me because I am 29 years old and I suffered from cystic acne for a long time before I got it under control with Accutane but not before the scar damage was done. I never even thought that the Yasmin could be causing it since I didn't have this problem prior to stopping it. I happened to stumble upon this website looking for help with pregnancy issues related to Yasmin users. I was just on Yasmin's website which said that recent studies indicate that women are the most fertile the first two weeks after stopping Yasmin. So I'm freakin' out a bit here because I was off exactly two weeks and my husband and I were quite "frisky" these past two weeks. Is there anyone out there that may have experienced an unexpected "quick" pregnancy right after stopping Yasmin? I already see that many people have suffered from the acne, I'm just not sure why it didn't affect my skin before.

I have just gotten out of the hospital on a 5 day stay due to my 2 month use of Yasmin. I have been diagnosed with multiple pulmonary embolisms. I am 35 and taking blood thinners for six months to a year. I was very ill and am lucky to have survived this episode. My doctor failed to inform me of the recent studies done on Yasmin and their findings. It seems that Yasmin has a bad track record for causing this type of illness. I am doing okay now, but what a frightening experince!
