Was prescribed DS (Double strength) 800-160 Sulfameth/Trimeth for 7 days/ 2 pills per day to treat a staph infection from a cut. On the last day, I woke up with a swollen gland under my left ear and a red, itchy rash all over my face and arms. Small hives also began to appear. Today is the next day and the hives are spreading but don't last very long. Very itchy, though, and that's unrelenting. Hoping it will decrease quickly since the first symptoms didn't appear till the dose of Bactrim was almost over.

I started taking Yasmin 3 weeks ago. And three days ago I woke up with this weird red rash all over my hands, feet, arms, legs, face and back of my neck. At first I thought that maybe it was something I ate but I haven't had anything unusual so thats not it then I thought that maybe its stress but thats not it either..... Anyway I decided to do a google search to see if maybe it was the Yasmin.. and right away there were pages and pages of people complaining about horrible red itchy rash so I'm stopping this medicine asap... not only did i get a rash but its made my anxiety 10 times worse and made me break out with acne (which has never been this bad). I'm super dizzy and lightheaded everyday. I've been spotting everyday since I started Yasmin not to mention I got a horrible yeast infection... and my husband is very unhappy because I have absolutely NO SEX DRIVE and I'm so MOODY..... Its almost like being pregnant again so I'm totally unhappy I really really hope that the makers of this medicine reevaluate this birth control and either takes it off the market or change the side effects..... thank you for your time and good luck......

I was prescribed /TWP DS 800-160 for a urinary infection. I have taken this medication before with no ill effects, but this time my hands itch all the time and I have a red, itchy rash on my back and stomach. I finished the prescription today, ao hope it goes away and so far the UTI I had is better. At least I don't have as much pain, but it required two prescriptions before is worked. I have taken this before with no noticeable effects. Is this serious?

I was on a tapering dose of Prednisone taking 60mg a day for the first 4 days and then 40 for three days and then twenty for the rest of a twelve day period. I am so productive on the stuff! I cleaned my entire house, got a lot done at work, and have really reaped the benefits of the added energy. My skin and gums never looked better.

Sleeping through the night is hard because of the nervousness and because it makes me have to use the restroom (urination) frequently. It makes me sweat a lot too, so I cannot get comfortable at night. Also, I get very very thirsty and wake up in the mornings with horrible headaches on the sides of my head.

I have been off of the prednisone now for almost one week and am starting to have problems. I have a red itchy rash all over my body (stomach, legs, arms, etc) that resembles a heat rash that began to appear the second day off of the tapered prednisone pack. I am starving and want to eat everything in sight! The rash is my biggest side effect and strangely enough I was on the prednisone for poison ivy! That rash has gone and now this one is worse. The poison ivy was not as bad as the side effect rash from the prodnisone. The side effect rash covers a larger area and itches worse.

On June 17, 2008 I had an emergency appendectomy. They put me on Levaquin in the recovery room. By the time I got to my room I was covered in a horrible red itchy rash--I layed there scratching like a squirrel for hours. When I told the nurse, she said everyone has that reaction and she put Benadryl into the IV. They CONTINUED to give me the Levaquin with a Benadryl chaser until I couldn't take the itching any longer. Finally changed the IV to Cipro---no more itching! I am home now, very very sore and extremely tired. I could have done without that rash-----it is still all over my arms, neck , chest and back--very RAW because I scratched like crazy! Hopefully in a few days it will disappear. Will NEVER take Levaquin again, that's for sure!!

Okay I havent read anything about this so far but i hope someone can relate. Ive been taking yasmin for a little over a month and i just recently started tanning again. Ive NEVER had a problem tanning, ive always used the same lotion so that isnt the problem. Anyway.. after about three minutes in the bed my arms and legs feel like needles are poking me and about four hours later i get a red itchy rash on just my arms and legs. I am convinced its yaz, anyone else have this issue? Think i might have top give up either tanning or this pill..

After 17 months on hydrochlorothiazide for blood pressure, I experienced a bright red itchy rash on sun-exposed areas ( primarily face and neck). It was diagnosed as solar urticaria (allergy to sunlight) and was successfully treated. However, after 24 months now on it, I have bright redness on my face and neck again (unpleasant but not particularly itchy) with really mild nausea. The doctor tells me it could be a side effect of the drug. I am now on another blood pressure pill, but it has been four days since I took the hydro. and the redness has not gone away.

Was given a 10 day course of Levaquin for bronchitis. I had to stop on day 7 when the red itchy rash appeared on my hands and legs. Nearly 2 weeks later I can barely use my right hand to grasp or squeeze without experiencing severe pain. Both eyes have been bloodshot and irritated for the same 2 weeks-I assumed it was because I was having difficulty falling and staying asleep for 2 weeks.. The prescribing MD at a local "Quick Care" denies any connection between this drug and my symtoms. Until this episode of bronchitis I have taken no drugs of any sort, haven't even needed to see a doctor in over 2 years-I'm not a hypochondriac, but I'm sick dammit, and it can't be a coincidence that it began with taking Levaquin. I'm in the process of trying to find a physician in my area who is knowledgeable about the side effects of this drug but am having little luck. Anyone familiar with an MD in the Las Vegas area experienced with diagnosing and treating the side effects of Levaquin PLEASE email me at ******....I don't want to sue anybody, I just want to feel better.

Have been taking Levaquin for 8 days. On day 6 started to get a red, itchy rash on hands, fingers, and wrist. Day 6 was also first day that I was outside. Pharmicist suspects a sensitivity to the sun. Advised me to stop taking the medication and contact my doctor.

After being prescribed 2 rounds of Levaquin, after a shot of Rocephin, for Bronchitis turning into Pneumonia, I have experienced side effects. Restlessness, bad dreams, Fatigue,
and now have a red itchy rash on my body, which is so annoying, it is almost unbearable.I am so glad that I looked for the side effect of this Medication. I have had headaches also. As a matter of fact, I am absolutely miserable. Never want to take this Medication again.
