I have been taking the generic for Allegra (180mg), Fexofenadine 180mg, for about 2 years -- ever since I moved to middle-Virginia. I thought I had a cold that would not go away. The doctor put me on Allegra, and it did help, yet didn't stop, the horrible runny nose, watery eyes, etc. Around that same time, I started having horrible leg/feet cramps at night...so bad that my sleep is constantly interrupted with having to jump out of bed multiple times to walk off the cramp. My doctor prescribed Requip and, even on the strongest dose, the cramps would not go away. A pharmacist suggested I try Highlands Leg Cramp pills (w/quinine) and that helped reduce the severity and number of leg/feet cramps for a while. Now the cramping is back, full-strength, and I just began a desperate research of side effects for all the medications I am taking. Lo, and behold, I just read that others who are taking Allegra are experiencing this same symptom. Unfortunately I took my morning dose this a.m., but I will begin tomorrow not taking Allegra and hopefully that is all it takes to end these leg cramps. And, oh yes, I too have regular stomach cramps and diarrhea and have lost 20 lbs. without dieting. I'm now wondering if Allegra is also responsible for all of these unexplained "other things" going on with my body. I hope I won't be bombarded with bad side effects by going off the Allegra "cold turkey." However, anything is better than the leg cramping!

I am a 66 year old female, and now taking Citalopram 20mg, and Requip. I was prescribed Metoclopramide Tab 10mg. for acid reflux. I was to take them four times a day, 30 minutes before eating, and at bedtime. I took the first pill at lunch. Shortly after, I became very weak and nauseated. I went to bed. I was able only to get back and forth to the bathroom. I skipped the dinner pill, and felt a little better. But I took the bedtime pill, and became weak, nauseated, and had arm and hand tremors. The next day, I took one more pill, with the same effects. My son found on the computer, the side effects were similar as mind, and was worse with seniors. No more pills did I take. It took 6-8 hours to get back close to normal. That was yesterday. I still feel a bit panicky at times, fearing it is happening all over again.
My husband had taken Reglan years ago, with no bad side effects...
I never want to try it again...

I was taking Metformin(500mgs) and my sugars were very good. I told my doctor about 1 bad reading and she told me to try a new medication (Januvia). Since then I have trouble sleeping, wake up 4-5 times in 5 hrs and feel edgy all day. I take reequip for restless leg syndrome and it's been working, but now I feel like it's back and I know it's JANUVIA. I'm going to tell my doctor to switch me back to Januvia.

I had muscle aces and pains most of that time but near the end of the 3 weeks I would loose the use of my left arm for periods. I would feel faint and very weak. I have had restless leg since I was a child but my legs got much worse during the 3 weeks. Finally I remembered that if you had muscle weakness you were to stop Zocor so I did. The daily muscle weakness gradually went away but I developed severe restless leg and had to go on Requip. I also started having face spasms and “turrett” type spasms in my legs that would travel up into my arms and hands. My hands would clench and I couldn't talk plain. My head would jerk and my body would shake inwardly as if I were freezing. These symptoms were worse when I was stressed or got too hot. Eventually I had to quit my job, it was very high stress. Five years have past. I now stay home and garden and paint. I very seldom leave my home and my stress level is low but when I do get into a stressful situation I still have to deal with the “loss of control” over my body. My sleep is a nightmare every night. My restless leg syndrome is getting worse and I've had to increase my Requip and will probably have to do so again soon.
My cholesterol is very high and my doctor keeps trying to get me to go on some meds for that but I would rather die than add to the painful, exhausting struggle I go through now because of what Zocor did to me.
