My husband was diagnosed with MS 2 1/2 years ago. He has been on Lipitor for about 1 year. Within the past 4 months, his walking has gotten worse. Where it used to be just his right leg, now it is his left as well. Severe leg cramps, fatigue -which could be the MS - trouble keeping balance - also could be MS - lower back aches, slurred speach and memory loss. I know alot of these are associated with MS but after reading all the other letters, I am beginning to wonder if his walking has gotten worse due to the Lipitor. He used to have trouble walking but with a cane, could go for miles. Now he can't even walk 15 minutes without almost falling. A friend of ours stopped taking the Lipitor and felt better within 1 week. I am hoping the same happens to my husband. Thanks to everyone for sharing their stories.

please research dr. graveline's web site (google dr. duane graveline) and find his recommendations for stopping statins--he suggests decreasing the dosage and considering daily aspirin(unless you are taking plavix) (at least until the rebound period of increased platelet stickiness is over??) though my husband and friend stopped their lipitor cold turkey 1 1/2 yrs ago with no sequelae, rather scared me to find the information about the rebound platelet stickiness--obviously it does not happen in everyone and if it does, it does not affect everyone adversely. best of luck to you

I was diagnosed with severe endometriosis approximately 2 1/2 years ago. I have fibroids all over my ovaries, uterus, and cervix. I had lapo. surgery 2 years ago to burn away the tissue and help treat the endo. Recently, the excruciating pain has returned and my OBGYN has put me on dalaudid for the pain and said my only option at this point is the Lupron. I received my first shot about 3 weeks ago. I was TOTALLY against doing it shots, but was told by my OBGYN and my fertility doctor that it was my only choice. After reading some of the comments on here I want to refuse my next shot and just deal with the god awful pain of the endo. I am so confused and don't know what the heck to do. If anyone had any advice with where I should go from here, please respond to my comment. Thank you so much.
