PERFORATED MY UTERUS --- The placement of the Mirena was extremely painful. I could barely drive afterwards. I was sure that something was wrong, but the doctor assured me that everything was fine. I breastfed my son for a year (I had it placed 6 weeks post-partem) which is why I had it placed in the first place. It was considered safe for breastfeeding mothers (please research side-effects of the active hormone it releases on infants. We now know why our 13 month old has had respiratory issues since he was 5 months old). Over the year, I had radial stabbing pains up my back and down my legs. It hurt during sex. At my year check up, I asked the doctor to remove it, but he could not find the strings to remove it. After an x-ray confirmed that it was still in my abdomen, he scheduled a hystoscope to find it and remove it (he assumed that it was still in my uterus). During the procedure, he could not find the Mirena in my uterus and had to perform emergency laparoscopic surgery to remove it from MY ABDOMEN. It had PERFORATED MY UTERUS. My husband and I now know of 4 women that this has happened to just by telling people our story. WE LIVE IN A SMALL TOWN!!!! THE NEGATIVE SIDE EFFECTS ARE UNDER REPORTED!!! PLEASE INFORM YOURSELF BEFORE GETTING THIS DEVICE.

i took Singulair for one week. The first couple days, I had a head ache, sore throat, cough, and some other upper respiratory issues. I started to feel better, but I had to stay home from work and rest. About 5 days later, I took my singulair in the morning (I missed the night before). About 2 hours later I was sent home from work early due to nausea/diarrhea. I was in bed sick all of that day. I skipped the singulair that night and the next morning, and took it the following night. Again, 2 hours later I has severe diarrhea. I have been off Singulair for a day and a half and my diarrhea is gone. It is so weird, the whole 3 days I was off work, and calling out- I felt so depressed, like I did not want to go back to work, I was dreading it! BUT i love my job, and I have never felt like that before. I am really worried this medicine is what made me sick! I would not give this to anyone, and especially reading the things about what it does in children, I definitely believe this could happen!

This is not a medication that should be given to asthmatics. My son was started on this medicine for frequent migraines, >2 per week. He has asthma and is very small for his age 100lbs. He was taking the smallest dose of 25mg per day. He only took the pill twice and was already having shortness of breath and beginnings of sinus infection and upper respiratory issues. I really don't think this medicine should be prescribed to anyone with asthma.
