Someone PLEASE help or offer assistance! I have been on 50mcg Synthroid for about 1.5 yrs now and have gained about 25 pounds!! I am a very, very active triathlete, not just your 30 mins on the treadmill kind of girl. How about running 5-6 miles, riding my bike 40-50 miles, and swimming all about 3 times per week!! How can a human being continue to gain weight at this activity level? I am considering just stop taking it, cold turkey. Has anyone tried any of the supplements for thyroid support, or natural meds? If you've got any suggestions, I am open to just about anything at this point!!

I am a 47 year old female that has had asthma all of my life. I was wanting to stop taking Advair and looked up this website, boy am I glad I did. I have all of these side effects. I have been taking Advair 500/50 twice daily for 7 yrs. I have all of the side affects and more. I have experienced hair lose, depression ( I also take Wellburtin XL) since I have started the Advair, I have pain in my legs that make me feel older than I am. I have gain 40 lbs in the past 7 yrs. I now wear reading glasses because my vision is blurry. People always say my face looks rounder. I hate the drug. My doctor said the none of the side effects are caused for the Advair. As of yesterday I stopped taking the Advair. I have cut down my does slowly for the past 2 months. Can someone who has stopped the Adavir tell me what to expect now that I have stopped. Advair is a crazy drug and I refuse to keep taking it.

I took 50 mg of Zoloft every day for years but I began to experience bladder weakness and discontinued it for this reason. I "crashed" into a pretty bad depression after about 4 months off of Zoloft. I began taking it again but added Wellbutrin on advice from my doctor. At first, I was very energetic and felt better than I have in years. But after a month or so, I began to have pain in my hip, elbow and knee joints. I used to have this pain somewhat but it is worse and continual, now. I was taking 350 mg of Wellbutrin SL, one pill in the morning and another at noon. Now I am sleepy, especially in the afrernoon and forgetful. I am taking the dose down to 150 a day, to see if that helps. I also noticed more acne than usual. But my bladder is not as weak as it was on Zoloft alone and I now sleep through the night although I don't always wake feeling rested.

I experience weight gain, lots of hunger, trouble waking up in the morning. The worst thing right now is lethargy. I'm used to riding my bike in the hills for 1-2 hours and this is just killing my ability to do hard exercise. I feel like I'm slogging through some thick mud and just can't move the body. I'm an artist and I have lost my intense desire to work. I have really enjoyed the great night's sleep - seems much deeper than all alternatives I've tried, and I think it's good for my startle reflex. I have read horror stories about the difficulty in getting off zyprexa, though my doctor doesn't seem to concur. I tried once and just couldn't stand the choppy bad insomnia.
