I started taking Trivora in June, 2008. I had to stop taking it after 2-1/2 weeks because I was extremely hungry, tired and was had gained 5 to 7lbs during the 2.5 weeks (same systems as if you were really pregnant). The only very nice thing about Trivora was that my boobs looked great!!! I am a b-cup and it went up to a full "C". Of'course that was probably due to the weight/water gain. I didn't feel good at all. I have never taken this type of birth control pill. I took it because it was an alternative to the name brand birth control pills that I normally take. I made a bad decision in getting these pill because I was saving money. I am not sexually active but, I wanted my periods to be regulated. Boy... I should have never made the decision to switch my name brand. On another positive note... my period for the month of June was very light, painless and short. However... my period for the month of July... still has not arrived. It feels like I am going to start but, I never do. Keep in mind... I am not sexually active... and I have never, ever missed a period aside from my two children that are 17 and 12 years old. I know that the Trivora pill has caused a side effect that I was not expecting. Since taking the pill I have gained approx. 10lbs in one month. Feeling bloated all the time because my period still has not started is something that no one wants. Yes... I feel depressed, stomach pains, nausea and I have frequents headaches. I would not recommend this pill to anyone. Hopefully my period will start so I can feel normal and not retaining water and have a constant bloating feeling.

just another update on my other 2 postings. Things have really hotted up here, lets just say the doctors surgery will get a nasty surprise in the post!! I urge anyone who has been conned into taking this drug to make a stand, sooner or later the medical community is going to have to listen. Websites like this are a godsend, but....POWER TO THE PEOPLE!!!! Give them what for, they can't brush this under the carpet for much longer and they have no right to make anyone take this drug. My doctor behaved as if nothing had happened, I nearly pegged it and they treated me like a nutcase! The most annoying thing is that I already have Crohn's Disease so I should never have been put on it, but they completely disregarded that fact, something they have been aware of for many years...NO EXCUSE at all. There is a definate cover up, have you seen the news this week??? More people are to be started on simvastatin because the government wants to save money on heart operations!!! They are either incredibly stupid (no surprises there), or have been completety sucked into the statin hype. There is going to be a massive strain on the NHS because of all the other health problems this drug causes, I saw 3 different specialists because of my sudden ill health, do they really think it will save them money??? Any one from the Government reading this?? get your bloody finger out and do something! Apart from not saving money, what cost to all that have been put on it??? what about their health? and by the way, I am the patient but I HAD to ask the doctor for a test for muscle wastage even though he knew this had been occurring, non admition of guilt then? National Health? NO National Joke and we are on the recieving end. I am not a lab monkey and don't want to be a test subject for these poxy drug companies and neither should anyone else, get RID of these awful drugs!

I have been on lisiniprol with hctz on 10mg dose since October 2008. My BP averaged around 144/95 before taking the med, now averages about 122/78. The problem i am having is this constant "tickle" in my throat which has been giving me coughing fits. When i breathe in deep i can feel a sensation to cough, sometimes my throat feels tight and sore, the first time i felt this was December 2008 and the doctor said it was a touch of post nasal drip and this was before i have read stuff on this board. Has anyone else experienced this kind of sensation in the throat? sometimes when i talk i even have to cough, i experimented once and did not take my dose and it seemed my throat felt better but then noticed my bp went right back up, i guess i better tell the doctor to get me off of this drug. She did tell me that the cough was part of the side effect. thanks and hope someone answers this.
