I had been taking Avelox 4 days when I started to experience tingling in my right middle toe, the next day, it was on the left foot, I had taken the 5th dose, then figured out that this must be causing the problem. 2 days letter, intermittent nerve damage seems to linger, I will go to the doctor next week, I hope by then it disappears, although I keep reading about irreversible peripheral nerve damage so I'm worried about this never going away! It feels like there is lint or a sock around my middle toe and when I press there is not much feeling.

In February after receiving Zometa, I twisted my torso to look in the backseat of the car and developed a muscle spasm in the quadratus lumborum muscle in the lower back. This lasted for 3 weeks, and finally resolved with much massage, ibuprofen, and hot and cold therapy to the site. In April, after the treatment, I developed a spasm in my upper back, in the rhomboid and trapezius area along the scapula. Again, it developed after and activity of putting a shelf together. This spasm has lasted for 4 weeks now, massage, ibuprofen, and hot or cold hasn't helped. The only relief I have is at night while sleeping, lying flat on my back in bed. I'm due for another Zometa tomorrow and this time, I will try to not do anything physical right after the treatment. I had no side effects from it up until the last two months, and had been receiving it since August 2002. All of my lab work (calcium, phosphorus, creatinine, and magnesium) has always been normal, along with the electrolyte levels. Any ideas what causes the spasms?
Thanks a lot

I have just started taking ultracet today. I was prescribed 2 tabs 4x's a day. I have taken 4 tabs so far. The pain is better but the pharmicist told me and my partner to watch out for psychotic episodes since I am taking 20 mg of Paxil a day. SCARY!!! So far just stomach upset. But not intolerable. NO PAIN!! I have suffered from chronic pain for 3 years after I tore my scapula away from the muscle and ligaments. I do feel a little wired. I was also told it was non habit forming. I have taken morphine and loritab but cannot handle the withdrawl. I think 8 tabs a day is a lot. Let you know as the days progress. Especially about the psychosis. My Dr. was informed about the Paxil and said it should not become a problem. We will see.
