This is my first time taking Zyrtec D. It was recommended by my local pharmacist. I have had a terrible sinus infection which has lead to a massive ear infection. The ear infection is getting worse . every time I blew my nose, I felt like my ears were going to pop right off my head. Anyhow, the only thing that has made me feel better is Zyrtec D however the side effects I am experiencing from this are far more worse and are not worth it. I am very anxious to the point where my muscles ache. I also have excessive crying spells and I also have been super angry all day. I have taken 2 pills in the past 24 hours. My ears are still clogged but my nose is clear. I am also experiencing shortness of breath and increased heart rate. I also can not sleep and I keep waking up with horrible dreams. I have been searching the internet now to figure out how to get this drug out of my system. Although I can now breath, the side effects are not worth it. I would rather have a stuffed nose then ever take this again.

Hello all. I was prescribed this medication in the emergency room last week, but did not take it due to all of the side effects listed. I'm a 39 year-old female that works out 5 days a week. My b/p was 178/123 and up until last week had always been normal. For now I'm taking Hydrochlorithiazide and it has brought it down slightly. I've been searching the internet for natural supplements and came across two that i intend to try: Twin Lab Blood Pressure Control and the other is Holistrol. They both sound pretty promising and the Holistrol study was discussed at a heart conference. Check them out, because they might be an alternative to what you're taking or maybe can be taken in conjunction with a medication from your doctor. Good luck to all of you and God bless.

I have been on generic Toprol since 2005 to control my high blood pressure. I have many of the symptoms you all experience, tiredness, occasional dizziness, some weight gain. However, the most debilitating side effect I am suffering is neck flushing and anxiety attacks, my chest and neck turn bright red practically whenever people talk to me and I've never had this problem prior to taking this drug, I am shy but not that shy. Now I feel like I have to wear turtlenecks all the time or people will ask me what is wrong with you, are you allergic, etc... I can't even have a regular conversation with my co-workers without my neck turning red and breathing hard. It's ridiculous and I want to know if anyone else has this problem or if I'm just mental.
Thanks.

My son is 10 years old and has been on 5 mg. singulair for 3 years. He has been getting frequent headaches, and is in the bathtub right now screaming with one! Also alot of depression.I just came upon this website accidently ,by searching the internet for what might be causing such headaches in a child. I was shocked at all of these symptoms! I am not going to give him any more singulair. But what is everyone doing to replace it and deal with their kids asthma problems? My son has had so may behavioral issues and being so unreasonable and always thinks were picking on him.To extremes! Very hars to deal with, constantly! TC

Hi there!
I have to say, I am so happy that I have found this website. I feel like I'm crazy!! I have been taking Yasmin for a little over a year or so and within the past two month I have noticed significant stress, anxiety, depression (which I have NEVER experienced in my life). Although, over the past year I have noticed I have been tired, overall low energy, and snappy for no reason. Really high strung. I never knew why.
I do have to ask though, those of you who have stopped taking, or switched from Yasmin...have you noticed a shift in mood for the better? Have you noticed a difference in depression? I am planning to make an appointment for my OB/GYN tomorrow to get off this pill. I just want some hope that things will indeed get better, you know??

Lisinopril was the first medication my PCP prescribed for moderate hypertension. Almost immediately, I started to experience aching bones/joints and cramping muscles. Searching the internet, I read a number of reports that suggested that Lisinopril was made from the venom of snakes in South America. While many of today's medications are derived from natural plant and animal sources, this still freaked me out. I eventually came of this medication. I was then put on Felodepine, which wasn't much better. Then it was onto Catapres (Clonidine), which lowered my blood pressure, but didn't maintain it. After a reading of 171/110 just the other day while at the doctor's office, I'm on another medication Terazosin 1MG, plus Quinapril 40 MG. I have an unusual upset stomach, and a more pronounced heartrate that is at times quite disturbing. I also have a sinus infection and am on Augmentin, so I cannot point directly to the BP meds for these conditions. I agree with others that Lisinopril is just bad news. Glad I'm off of it.

How interesting...
I've been on the Nuva Ring for probably a year and a half. Started on it a few months into my engagement to my now-husband. Before the ring, I used to want to just attack my husband all the time in the bedroom -- I had a killer sex drive. After the ring, I noticed a decreased sex-drive, and increased anxiety-- I chalked it up to planning a wedding. I also have discharge ALL the time, and sex is often painful. I thought this was all stress too. My periods were frequent (which is off for me b/c I'm so active), they were light, and my mood were stable-- which they had not been on the pill.
Well now we've been married almost a year, I now describe myself as an "anxious person" (which is new) and my sex drive is sad (for a newly wed?!?) The damn thing just fell out in the last few days (which I don't understand, this has never happened before... is it possible it's lost inside of me somehow?!) and I've noticed my sex drive has increased in the interum.
I used to say "I preach the good news of the Nuva Ring" b/c I found it INCREDIBLY helpful to not have to think about a pill while planning a wedding. I'm also very active (surf most mornings) and it seemed to hold up to that. I don't understand why it fell out in the past few days (very odd-- I can't find it) but the loss o' the ring had me searching the internet for solutions, and I think now that it is not my permanent contraceptive solution.
If you're planning a wedding, however, I'd use it. I didn't experience any "first three month" craziness like I do on the pills-- the first 3 months always make me an emotion wreck. It was perfection to have my moods stable.
But I need a change. The emotional rollercoaster of finding a new solution is daunting... but I think it's time.

I was prescribed levaquin for for a respiratory infection. Instead of getting better I got worse. I was weak, began to have joint pain as well as the infection problems. I called my doctor after doing research on the internet. He told me to stop levaquin and to take advil. This didn't help. When I went back to him he tested me for lupus, ms, and RA. He eventually sent me to an arthritis specialist that I am still seeing 5 months later. Although she had never heard of these side effects until I explained them she has supported my concern that I have been suffering from an adverse reaction to the medication. I still suffer from joint pain and swelling as well as an acute burning pain in my thigh. The only treatment that I am receiving is steriod shots in my joints which do offer some relief. As I sit here tonight my leg is extremely painful. Will it ever go away or are we all doomed to suffer these ill effects the rest of our lives. I hurt... if anyone knows of a class action lawsuit please share the information.

My husband, age 49, was prescribed and began taking Lipitor about 6 weeks ago. 4 days ago he woke up and couldn't remember our daughters names. Even worse, when I told him their names, they didn't even ring a bell to him. It took a couple hours for his memory to return.
He's been in a fog and "just not feeling right" for the past 4 days. After seeing the Dr. today, the Dr. ordered a stat CT scan fearing my husband had experienced a mini stroke or worse.
After thinking long and hard about what could be happening, it hit me that it could be the Lipitor. After searching the internet, I see cognitive and loss of memory side effects are being reported by those on Lipitor. Why aren't Dr's warning their patients...especially when they come to the Dr. with those exact symptoms?
My husband is done with Statin drugs. We will work on diet, exercise and he'll take his chances with high cholesterol. If only someone had warned us.

It is now 2am and my 22 mo old has been on omnicef for pneumonia for 2.5 days...starting the night he took it he started waking up in the middle of the night just screaming - he does not get night terrors, this all started happening the exact night he started the medicine...he did it the next day when waking up from a nap as well and then again tonight. My husband is with him and I am searching the internet on this stuff - I have no doubt it's the medicine after reading these similar stories - and will be calling his DR in the morning. He has also had 8 runny diapers in the last 15 hours since starting it.

I've just been searching the internet because I was suspicious of Diovan that I have been using for about 2 yrs. Incredible! People are indicating the same problems that I have been experiencing for a few months now, and only getting worse. Severe joint pain, my arms and legs are very, very tender. I have problems sleeping at night, especially due to the pain in my legs. Just lying my legs on my mattress hurt my legs. I'm only 56 and I feel like I am 100!!! And the pain in my groin area when I walk is almost unbearable. I am calling my physician today to tell her what I have found and that I most get off Diovan. Lets see how I feel after a few days off Diovan. Some people experience much less pain just after 3 days! I hope this is true!!!! It is very difficult to live with such pain day in and day out.

I was prescribed prednisone for a severe case of poison ivy. 60mg for 10 days, then tapering over 2 more weeks. Side effects were dizziness, sleeplessness, hunger, thirst, slow healing, pent up energy, acne, etc. My doctor also prescribed Ranitidine 300mg 2x day because it's a histamine blocker, and that helped with the all-over itching. Ranitidine is normally prescribed as a stomach aid (for ulcers/acid reflux I think), so that may have helped prevent any of the stomach/digestive side effects. I also tried to follow the recommended dietary suggestions that I learned about. I focused on potassium, calcium, protein, zinc rich foods, lots of healthy vegetables, vitamin E, etc. Try searching the internet for "prednisone diet" or "prednisone nutrition". I think all that helped! Good luck.

Today is a good day for me, I've having some of the symptoms of the above users of Yasmin. I've been on Yasmin for 5 years and a year ago I've noticed some changes and experiences in my body the main is consistency of Yeast infection which sometimes lead to unrinary tract infection. I never knew what was happening to me as I've not been active for months now. A week ago I started weeding out the possibilities of the cause of this and I came up with my birth control Yasmin.
I began searching the Internet on for the side effects of Yasmin and stumbled upon this site. I have three more pills to go in this package and then that is it for now! I will no longer take this pill. I do not care about the side effects of not taking it! So help me God they will go away even if it takes years to correct it! It took years to get to this point therefore i will be patient with my body to get back to normal.
As with many of you I took birth control to control my flow of period as well as cramps. I know woman's body is different where some can tolerate this and some cannot but I am willing to give it a try. What really bothers me about this is the fact that the symptoms just creep up on you without you even knowing and if you don't take time out to research your emotions and search through your soul and body slowly you will never get it that a simple BCP could mess you up like that. Today I am thankful for keeping that thought of research my birth control pills since last night and keeping it.
I am blessed to hear the testimonies and to know that I am not delusional. I stumbled upon this site for a reason.
Today my healing begins..

Yes, it is 3:40am and I too am up searching the internet to find out which medication is giving me insomnia! Looks like it's Geodon! I started with 40mg at bedtime for one month and they just upped my dose to 80mg at bedtime. My main problem has been sweating! As a 30 year young female living in sunny California (100 degress plus) it isn't to attractive to have a sweating problem. I am miserable! My eyes are so dilated and dry my husband actually asked me if I was using drugs (ha ha ha) and I am getting "trails" off things and small hallucinations if I wake up in the middle of the night (like a washcloth crawled away on the counter). I have trouble swallowing, am restless and anxious. I feel the symptoms worsened with the increasing dosage. But I guess this is better than the Zyprexa when I gained 30lbs in two weeks! I'm gonna give this drug a chance, hoping the sweat thing will get better with time. I've been playing this medication game long enough to know that unless the side effects are life threatening to stick with it and give it time. I have read many places that if you have stiffness and shuffling walk to stop the drug immediately and I saw a couple posts that were having that problem. It's on the manufacturers website; stop the drug immediately!

Hi!
Wow. I cannot echo enough praises for this website! If it was not for this website, and all of your informative posts, I would have never known that the solution to my problems would be as simple as switching birth control! I was on Yasmin for about 3 1/2 months (I have been off for a week now), and although I didn't notice any side effects right away, about a month ago I started having (1) back pain (2) leg pain (3) tingling/numbness in my limbs (4) heart palpitations and shortness of breath to the point I almost passed out several different times (5)trouble sleeping (6)emotionally fragile, and then about three weeks ago, my feet and ankles started swelling and were incredibly painful.
I was searching the internet, desperate to know what was wrong with me and typed in "swelling feet" and one website mentioned that birth control could be a cause. From there I typed in "Yasmin and swelling feet" and it brought me to this website, where I found EVERY SINGLE one of my symptoms had been experienced by at least one other person on Yasmin. I immediately called my obgyn and mentioned my side effects and teh website, and he took me off the pill and I'm now in a "detox" stage. Already I feel A TON better. My feet stopped swelling almost immediately, and although they aren't completely back to normal, they are very close to being there, and are getting better every day. All of my other symptoms have since subsided as well.
The only problem I'm encountering now are symptoms from "withdrawal" of being off the pill -- bad headaches and I'm exhausted all the time.
Can't wait to have this drug out of my system!!

Wow am I glad I found this page. I thought I had a brain tumor or something.
I had taken an albuterol inhaler years ago with good results. I saw a doctor recently and mentioned I had been using an OTC epinephrine inhaler to control my asthma. He recommended I go to something... gentler? So he gave me prescriptions for Singulair and Ventolin HFA.
Two days later, I got the worst headache of my life. I thought I was going through withdrawal from caffeine or sugar (which I began as a result of seeing the doctor). FIVE DAYS LATER I was still fighting it. Not withdrawal, not for that long. Since I'd taken Albuterol before, I suspected the Singulair.
I was fine for a couple weeks, until the headaches inexplicably came back. They were focused around the sinuses, so I was popping decongestants, antihistamines, snorting Afrin, using a Neti-Pot, you name it. I got periodic relief but nothing lasting.
Finally I decided to go off the Albuterol, thinking that because I was older, I had maybe developed a new sensitivity. Within 24 hours my headache cleared, and it hasn't come back. Only then did I start searching the internet for side effects, and I can only conclude that I am sensitive to the new propellant.
Thanks for posting your experiences. You can also tell the FDA about this problem by going to ******
