I started right out 3 years ago on 100 mgs. and within a couple weeks migraines were virtually gone! I thought it was a miracle! Only slight side affects for a couple years and only an occasional migraine but not a three day long one. So, I figure, small price to pay for all that relief, right? Now, for the last 6 months or so I'm falling apart! My memory is just gone! Sometimes I'm afraid to leave my house because I'm afraid I'll forget my way back home! I can hardly concentrate long enough to put a meal together and it just took me 4 tries to remember how to spell concentrate! Thank Goodness for spellcheck! I've lost 42 lbs. that I can ill afford to lose and I now I have started to have these anxiety things that I've never had before. I feel scared and nervous and no idea why. I was on a couple of drugs for allergies, a couple for arthritis and a vitamin. I dropped everything except the Topamax and the DR. put me on a 1/2 mg. Zanax twice daily for anxiety which seems to do nothing except make me sleepy. Now it seems all these side affects have just bloomed and I have this constant ache over my right eye which isn't a migraine but never goes away. I'm afraid to just stop the topamax because of what I've read about suddenly stopping. Doctors are no help, they won't even admit there is a problem. They just wanted to check my thyroid. It was fine.

I took Chantix 2 separate times. The first time I took it and had to stop because my insurance wouldn't cover it and I couldn't afford it. I cut down a huge amount and OMG the dreams I had were amazing. Nothing like the dreams my aunt had of animals ripping her apart and her family walking away. Mine were pastel and spiritual, totally real. Looked forward to going to sleep. The second time I had horrible stomach problems accompanied by lots of gas...not the smelly kind just air. Loose stools. Now I have been off the drug for almost a year. Unfortunately the dreams ceased.. I still have loose stools and the gas just finally stopped. thank god. started to think that there was a real problem. I have no health insurance so really couldn't go get it checked. I eat well so it wasn't stuff like that. But....chantix the first time worked well...no side effects. For me the second time wrecked me. I would take it again just for the dreams! Curious to know if the dream factor plays a part of the current state of mind of the person before it is taken. Meaning if you are stressed and unhappy does it enhance it in the dreams...would love to hear the type of dreams people are having...mine were very spiritual and enlightening. But I am a new age type person anyway....just curious...email me would love to know.

These stories sound all too familiar! What a nighmare this is for so many people. My son is 7 yrs. old and has been on Singulair for 5 YEARS! His dr. prescribed it for "cold induced asthma" which was a complication from RSV. Just about every time he got a cold he would develop pnemonia. The Singulair along with a nebulizer seemed to help his breathing. At first he was clingy. He wouldn't leave my side. We had to take him out of preschool because of it. Then, slowly his behaviors got really weird. He experienced severe anxiety, depression, self hatred, worried that me and his dad were going to die, sleeping problems, seperation anxiety, trouble focusing, stomach pain...etc. I too thought that I must be a horrible mother. My 9 yr. old isn't on any medication and he is a normal child. I thought I was doing something wrong with my youngest boy! My husband and I were seriously thinking about taking him for mental professional help. We have been to his dr. two seperate times to discuss his behavior problems and he basically blew us off! There are no side effects listed (from his prescription) that have anything to do with behavior problems. I always check the paper I get when I refill his prescription. I haven't given him this junk since March 28th as soon as I heard the news. Finally, all the pieces of the puzzle fit! I have seen improvement already! Last night he actually asked to go to bed. Before it was a terrible struggle to even suggest that he goes to bed. He did his homework tonight without any difficulty focusing!! That was awesome to watch! I hope he continues to get back to the sweet and happy boy he was a such a long time ago! He and his brother share a room and have bunk beds...right now I hear (for the first time in forever) him laughing with his big brother! Oh, what a beautiful sound!!!!!

I had the Mirena IUD inserted on October 10th. I had it switched from the copper IUD because I was spotting dark brown blood prior to my period, so my gyno recommended the switch. I spotted for the rest of the day, then stopped for two days, then began what I would call my period, since I was due for it later that week anyway. I am still bleeding, but I'd like to believe I'm nearing the end, since it seems to be lightening up. I expected my period to be fairly long after insertion.
The day after insertion, I experienced severe itching and swelling down there, and decided that I must have a yeast infection, but both symptoms are listed as side effects on the sheet I got from my pharmacy. I treated the infection, but still itch from time to time... I'm wondering if it's the hormones in the IUD.
On the weekend of October 19th, I lost my appetite, my sex drive, all sense of sexual pleasure and my ability to acheive orgasm. I ate three meals all weekend long, and only because I felt that I should eat, not because I was hungry. Sexually, I felt friction and not much else. Upon trying to climax 4 seperate times over the course of the weekend, I failed at all 4 attempts and all I got from my efforts was sore muscles, frustration and tears from being so upset by it. I have never experienced problems with sex or climaxing in the 14 years I've been with my husband. However, a couple of days before insertion, we had had sex and it was fabulous, as always. I climax every time we have sex, so it's been very upsetting.
I weighed myself today, just out of curiosity, and since the insertion, I've lost 7 lbs. I'm not dieting, not exercising, not even trying to lose any weight.
Upon calling my gyno and discussing my symptoms with her assistant, I was told that it couldn't be the Mirena, because the amount of hormones in it are so minute that they wouldn't affect anything outside of the uterus. I was told that something else in my life must be causing my sexual problems. !!! I don't think so! The IUD is the only thing that has changed in the past 2 weeks! And how do you explain a sudden loss of 7 lbs??? She didn't want to say it straight out, but she was trying to tell me it was all in my head.
I've had sex again since my failed attempts, and it's getting better, as is my appetite, so I'm hoping that my body is simply adjusting to the new IUD and getting used to the hormones. I have not been on any medication or hormones in the past two years, as I've been pregnant and then breastfeeding, so it might be quite a shock to my system.
If my inability to acheive climax continues, I am going ot have the IUD removed and have another copper IUD put in. My sex life isn't worth this.

I've been reading about all these side effects and can identify! I've a 2 seperate episodes of what I thought was nerve issues, 5 years apart, both postpartum. Have had tingling and numbness in feet, hands, lips, and tongue, and have as well been tested for ms. I also am having vision issues, eyes don't focus like they're supposed to. FYI- some people do better on synthroid, and some on levoxyl. I personally felt even worse on synthroid the one time I tried it.

After receiving two kenalog injections in my hip on seperate ocassions, my psoriasis increased ten fold. At first it was like a miracle, no psoriasis. A few months after my second injection, I noticed new areas of psoriasis popping up. For over 30 years I had psoriasis on my elbows and knees, after the kenalog shots I have them on my arms, legs, and head. The worst thing about this is I have no pigmentation in these areas, I probably have 50 or so white spots that range in sizes. My self-esteem has dwindled terribbly because of this. I wont wear shorts or short sleeve shirts because of people staring at me. I went to another dermatologist for a second opinion and she said it looked like my psoriasis rebounded after the shots. If anyone could help I would be so grateful.

I had to stop using the product as I got severe headaches when using the product. Physican said they might have been attributed to the propellant in advair or the administration of both asthma meds simultaneously.
Changed me to Flovent and Albuterol administered in seperate inhalers.

I've gotten prickily skin while out in the sun for 3-4 hours, even with sunscreen, and then noticed a relatively severe burn, though it has gone away after two days.
I am also taking two other topical medications for acne that increase sun sensitivity as well.
I've also been more irritable, but that is difficult to seperate as I'm about to be moving states, which is stressful.
I'm going to keep taking it, and try to keep closer stock of whether or not it's affecting me.

highly increased sense of awareness and focus, thought is trained better to things that seem more constructive - making them more entertaining and meaningful. a sense of wanting to accomplish everything that you feel will benefit you, and wanting to take it beyond your own expectations, even if impossible. lack of appetite. when taken at later hours, irregular sleeping patterns (sleep only a few hours a night , and still able to carry through the day normally, and get to sleep at a normal time the next day...)
phsyical performance relating to 'skill' is decreased.
the feeling of wanting to help everyone.
these desires to accomplish things are good feelings, and even when you can't go the extra two thousand miles, self confidence is still at a higher level.
i heard while pregnant and nursing, adderall should not be taken. (some adderall shows up in the breast milk.)
not a good idea to give to children under 12.
no idea where the voices in peoples heads are comming from, perhaps a part of their personality is revealed that they experience on seperate occassions.
increased hearing.
change in sexual performance
fast heartbeat (2 - 3x normal beats per minute)
heightened blood pressure
it's great for academic performance.

This medicine made me extremely jittery and nervous. I had a panic attack and heart palpitations on it which were scary. I think it may have been because I had taken 3 separate doses back to back. It was as prescribed but may have been too much for my system. Now I am done with antibiotics but still trying to get over bronchitis and I don't take it as much, like I save it just for night time when it's the worst (coughing).
