Dear Silke, sarah and all new comers.

Well on Nov 9th i hit the 12month mark off yasmin and to all the newcomers i owuld like to say i have been reading these posts for the whole year and you are all where i was and in some ways still am. Do not get me wrong I HAVE RETURNED TO WORK, I CAN LEAVE MY HOME, i do not get someone to ring me at 7am every day to see if i am still alive as i truly thought i would die in my sleep and all that was my anxiety.Sarah i too got charles linden tapes and they helped me a great deal i ordered them over the net one night when i was desperate and i was so thankful. take each day as it comes and i know that is so so hard i remember last xmas being exactly where you all are, silke telling me i was going to be ok and as i served xmas lunch i was pooping into my computer to read posts to reassure myself i was not going insane. I have come so far and so will you all. Some things are still there, i still get heart palps sometimes and Bilberry is great for the eye floaters i got it in a health shop and its great, I gain weight like no tomorrow and my gp is a woman whom agress with everything being said here and this week has ran all the relevent tests again to see where i am at. I am also seeing a chranio chiro whom changes out seratonin levels and he is running a urine analysis of he hormoes and metablics so stay tuned to that result. I just want you to know that its so hard but its gonna get better i gave my job up i was so full of anxiety etc and now i am back at work and loving it, Silke do you still get the bloating as my face is puffing a lot lately and the chiro is waiting for the results to get me something
sorry for rambling
take care, and merry xmas to all

hi eryka,
please don't feel ashamed of your thoughts, most of us that have suffered anxiety either induced by this pill or otherwise have had these awful scary thoughts. the post below this reply makes some very valid points! i too was terrified of being around knives or scissors,i thought i may hurt myself or my children,i kept thinking if the knife slipped and i hurt myself i would have to go to the hospital and they might section me because they might think i was mad. i also had really scary thoughts about harming my children or that someone else would harm them, crazy things like someone would grab the baby pram and throw it over the balcony in the shopping centre. so as you can tell i know exactly how you felt. i also think that these thoughts appear both to do with low seratonin levels and also the fear that you are going to lose control and do something awful, this in effect would be your worst nightmare and something you would never do so cannot understand where these alien thought patterns come from. i don't even like smacking my childrens bottoms if they are really really naughty let alone do some of the awful things that my brain came up with. the previous post is also correct in saying that if you were truly crazy you would not know a thing about it and certainly would not worry about it! whenever i have a scary thought (which thankfully is really rare now!) i physically tell myself not to be so silly,i would never do that or that would never happen then i will purposly think of a really nice happy thought. please feel free to post again if you need any more help or support or post your email and i will be happy to try to help you,i have been off yasmin for 6 months nearly and am doing really well now,i still have the odd day thats not so good but i know i am not crazy and i will get better.
best wishes to you eryka,i hope my reply will help you feel a little better.

hi jess,
the symptoms you have could well be down to yasmin, you may be hyper sensative to the effects of the artificial hormones,i think it depends what state your hormones are in before you start taking this stuff. i felt great on it for about six months, pain free periods, slight weight loss, reduction of cycle related acne etc. but then things started to change and i became ill both physically and mentally with no explanation,i felt that way for 1 year until i found this site and stopped taking yasmin, since then all my symptoms have pretty much vanished although they resurface briefly during ovulation-menstruation but that is because my hormones are still out of whack. my advice would be if you are feeling a bit off talk to your doctor and see if there is an alternative to yasmin,if you are starting to feel closteraphobic (sorry can't spell !) and never have before then i would think that yasmin may effect you badly mentally, something to do with oral contraceptives depleting seratonin levels, most of us on this site have had panic attacks/anxiety attacks along with agoraphobia or paranoid delusions,we are not mental it is this pill! some people do really well on it and feel sick for a couple of weeks then improve but i suspect if you are feeling bad after a few days then it may not be the right pill for you. sorry for the long post but it really upsets me when more and more women are being prescribed this rubbish that has nearly destroyed so many women here, all the symptoms we experience are to similar to be coincidental, the one common factor is that we have all taken yasmin.
best of luck to you whatever you decide to do,i hope you feel better soon.

Hi. It seems rather obvious that ambien causes dizziness, personality changse- anxiety, anxiousness, memory issues..a sort of brain fog and in many occasions depression. Let's be proactive- this med causes brain dysfunction that may be able to be corrected- the question is how? To start, the seratonin levels, cortisol and adrenalin levels need to return to normal..wean yourself off and never go on again. Who knows about herb. homeopathics that have shown promise on mood amd memory?
