Sex drives symptoms and conditions

Ive been using YAZ for almost a year now and before reading all these side effects from other women I thought i was falling apart at the age of 24.

Since ive been on YAZ these symptoms have occurred:

Some weight gain, Eyesight from great to HORRIBLY nearsighted, discharge, periods sometimes are twice a month and is a brown gross color, migraines, terrible skin problems: like blisters on my face & neck that crust over and last for weeks, GI problems right before my period, Severe Fatigue, pussy blisters under my armpits, numbing in my fingers and toes, very itchy skin, random sex drives (for months there will be no sex drive then one month ill have a very high sex drive), very mild mood swings (but noticeable), and ive become allergic to deodorant & sulfa drugs.

Before using this BCP : i had great skin, perfect eyesight, athletic & energetic, normal periods, and was never allergic to anything.

Ive had so many doctors visits to try to figure out what was wrong.... i got allergy injections, antibiotics, surgery options...........but no doctor could really tell me what was causing it and its very frustrating to have so many things go wrong and no one can tell know why or how to fix it!. Anyways, im going to call my OB/GYN TOMORROW......

I have been on YAZ for 6 months and have had so many freaking side effects. How on earth these people think its okay to sell these drugs to people is freaking ridiculous. I have gone to various doctors since about a month after i started yaz, and every visit corresponded with a known symptom of yaz. i am so happy my boyfriend found this site. he's been so worried about the fact that i barely even wanna be kissed anymore and after learning about the reduced sex drives of like a thousand other people from yaz, it makes sense. i am soo pissed off that anyone would do this. i just quit taking the pill and hopefully everything will go back to normal.

I have been on Femcon for around 4 years. My sex drive was very intense before taking this pill. I have had no sex drive since starting the pill. We have struggled to figure out what the problem is to no avail. I just decided to look up side effects of Femcon, and noticed all the symptoms are the same. I saw only a few with diminished sex drives. Is everybody experience diminished sex drive as a result??

My husband has been taking Lamictal now for 2 years. He had two seizures within 6 mo in his late 30's, one of which resulted in a car crash. Of course he is grateful for such medicine but as a partner and wife, I noticed lots of changes in him after he began the medication. He was irritable, had very low tolerance and a short fuse, was extremely distant and often mean - which in the end caused us to separate for some months. Although we are back together now and our relationship is doing very well, I notice other side effects, for example, he sleeps every time he sits still, etc.

HOWEVER, the real reason I am consulting this forum is to ask anyone (especially men) if they experience side effects related to sex. I know this is a tabu topic but things just aren't working as they used to and I am looking for solutions as he doesn't seem to question the side effects of this drug. This is starting to become an issue psychological issue now as well. Has anyone else experienced lower sex drives and complications during sex?

hi, I started taking this med in nov.2004.I just had a baby and had my tubes tied and never had them befor until then.Since i been on the meds i notice some of the same feeling haven energy,sex drives like crazy.Feeling like i'm drunk and stoned all the time. My doctor said that was fine until my body gets use to me using it.Well how long does it take to get use to something like that.I take 300 mg myself and also notice it helps me out in alot of way then my seizure.

I am 51 years old i have been taking this medication for over 20 years. I was taking 2 pills a day which was helping me a quite a bit. My son was just born when i started and he is now going to be 20 years old. I have servere arthritis on my knees and i need to have knee replacement on both knees. No im taking this darvocet 4 or sometimes 5 a day and it really helps me to stay on my feet. I cannot stand on my feet for over 10 minutes i'm in pain and i want to cry. I am on disability and this pill has help me to much . It also gives me energy makes me want to be on my feet cleaning and also helps me with my sex drive. I want to be with a man for a longer period of time, and yes i feel a little sleepy so i rest when i want to , i can take a nap at least twice if i want too. If i want to stay up all day i do its all a mind thing. It does give me a little stomach pain if i take it with a empty stomach, other wise it really helps me . I will take this medication for as long as i have to because i do not want to have surgery on my knees. I also have back pain but i feel fine when i take my medication. I also take naproxen 500 mg and lisinipril 20mg all in total i take 5 different medications twice a day. But i will not stop taking my darvocet because without it i feel weak, i cannot move without feeling pain all over. I feel like im 80- years old when im not taking my pills, but i feel like im 30 years old when i taking this medication it really makes me feel energetic , happy , very good sex drives and i can live with this forever. Hope this will help someone, who is confused, about this drug. I have 6 sisters with the same problems knee problems and my mother who is 68 years old and she also takes this for pain.
