Sexual contact symptoms and conditions

Wow..i wished i could have found this web site a long time ago...however i probably still would have had it done. I had my inserted 4 days ago. It was a little painful when it was getting put in and i have been having cramps ever since. My doc gave me pain med. to last me up to 3 months (cant remember to take them or any other pill thats why i got on Mirena to begin with!) because she said women have painful periods but after a few months it goes away. The only thing i noticed was light brown jelly like discharge. yeah, gross. Its weird that i have something inside of me but thats it. I'm worried now that ill have the same complications as everyone else on this site! But trust me..ill let you know! My husband and i did have sex last night and it was a little painful, but i haven't done that position in a long time but i dont know. ill find out if it hurts again tonight. (just to see since i have no interest in sex since i had my baby 4 months ago...poor hubby) And i noticed i LOST 2 pounds in one day...but ill post again in about a week to update. boy i am worried now!

My 20 yr. old daughter was on Loestrin 24 Fe for almost a year with seemingly few side effects (except larger breasts). When her Rx ran out, the doc would not prescribe more until she had an exam. She ended up going off the pill for a couple of months, which was okay because there was no boyfriend or sexual contact during that time. She then got a prescription refill and went back on it. Within about 3 weeks she started experiencing random panic attacks including, headaches, nausea, rapid heart beat, sweaty hands and dizziness. At first she wrote it off as stress, but now they are happening ALL the time and are interfering with her life. She is a college student and is becoming paralyzed by the anxiety and the fear of a panic attack. She can't go to class, can't drive and is worried all the time. This is soooo unlike my happy-go-lucky daughter. She feels like she is going crazy. I talked to the GYN and she thought that the pill could definitely be enhancing these symptoms, but didn't feel they were the main cause. I now have a completely different opinion from her since reading all the posts on here describing the exact same symptoms while on this pill. My daughter has now stopped taking them (it's been about a week) and the doctor said it could take a couple of cycles for the drug to be completely out of her system. I'm praying that these symptoms go away after the hormones are flushed out....anyone have any experience with the anxiety going away after going off the pill??????

I've been taking Yasmin for 7 months now...at first it was brilliant! i have had trouble with other pills in the past and Yasmin seemed totally different.
however, after settling down with it, i am starting to experience some side effects. i appreciate that obviously they may not be related to Yasmin but after reading other people's experiences I'm thinking that they probably are!

my hair falls out more than is normal...i used to have really thick hair and now it's getting pretty thin.
i have developed a cyst on the side of my head?!
i get weird pains in the right of my chest and stomach as if I've been exercising too much or sitting balled up for hours.
i have gone off food.
my sex drive is none existent! my boyfriend and i used to do it pretty much every day and now i never want it. we haven't really had any proper sexual contact in over a month.
i had complete loss of vision in one eye.
I'm getting seriously anxious about things that are important, but overly so.
i feel permanently tired and drained no matter how much sleep i get.
i cry 24/7 over absolutely anything... songs, adverts... its ridiculous!?

if i come off Yasmin it'll be the 3rd pill that doesn't agree with my body. I'm gonna have to try something new i think...

I'm feeling so much relief after reading these entries.. I had goggled NuvaRing side effects because... although I love it and don't really notice the NuvaRing is even there.. Since I have been on this birth control.. I have lost any and every kind of sex drive I have ever had .. which is odd for me because I have always had an extremely high sex drive.. it has been a HUGE problem between me and my finance.. he thinks something is wrong with him ..Or am I cheating.. because really what is the explanation? I didn't have one for him... and I truly didn't understand what was wrong with me and why the LAST thing I have wanted was ANY kind of sexual contact.. since figuring this out I feel so much better.. and I guess I will be finding a new kind of birth control!!!

Ive had my Period for over a month now on jolessa. Why is this happening?

Wow...i cant believe what i read so far. I've been on Yasmin for about a month now and i was searching the internet for side effects because i feel i have totally lost all desire in sexual contact. I know that sometimes birth control does effect libido but i was on Depo-provera for 4 years and i dont remember it being this bad. I dont know if anybody else knows what i'm talking about. But its wierd. anybody?
