I was prescribed the advair inhaler about 2 years ago. I was diagnosed with acute bronchitis and the physician suggested it to me. I didn't know how it would change my life forever. I started using it immediately. Soon after I experienced severe chest pain, shortness of breathe, flu-like symptons, pain in my legs and hands. I encountered slurred speech and memory loss. I found it difficult to fall asleep as well as trying to stand up. I vomitted a lot and I was constantly clinching my chess. I thought I was losing my mind. I stop taking the medicine and went straight to the doctor. I receive to known reason for this strange side-effects. I just continue to heal from this devastating event. I thought my life would never be the same. I found strength in God and my family. I had to just let the effect wear-off. I had also had chest x-rays and ekg screenings but nothing conclusive. I was just another unfortunate person lingering at the hands of modern medicine. I still don't know why it's still on the market. I may have helped some with asthma but many of us are still recovering from the side-effects alone. I am still struggling today. I still have severe chest pain and pain in my fingertips. Normal breathing is still a challenge for me. I don't think I will ever be totally free of this nightmare but at least I didn't lose my life in the whole ordeal. And that alone is good enough for me.

36 year old female; have been on Lipitor 10mg for about 3 weeks now. Have been experiencing chest pain with fast heart beat. Feels like I can't get a breath all the way. Can anyone help out? I'm scared. It feels like I can't breath in all the way and I'm scared to stop the Lipitor since my cholesterol is 264 now. Thanks.

I am 26 years old and was prescribed Yasmin to help deal with Polycystic Fibrosis. I have been on it 6 weeks and immediately saw weight gain, but this past week I have had an EXTREME loss of breath. I am a teacher and began breathing as if I had just run around the block after I simply walked down the hallway. I haven't seen that anyone else has mentioned this, please let me know if you have

I have been on Effexor XR for over a year now and at first it was helping my depression and compulsive disorder but for the past 5 months I have been having really bad memory loss, confusion, extreme headaches that wont go away and wont let me do anything.....I have also gained 65 pounds and my head feels like it is in a cloud and I have no idea what is going on around me....I am totally adrift. It has also made me like grow a beard and side burns and I am an 18 year old chick.so that is terrible....I have hillucinations I cant stop seeing things come after me and I have terrible nightmares...I had horrible chest pain non stop crying.....diahrea shortness of breathe just every side effect that was bad was what I had.....I have been off of it for a week now and it has been so terrible my school wanted to take me away in handcuffs or in a straight jacket and I was on a strict watch from everyone in my school this drug is horrible and I think no one should ever take it......It has made my life terrible and it has tken away my joy memory and good grades.....I cant learn now in school and I get terrible grades and before taking this drug I was a straight A student.....and I found out that this is more of a mans drug too so I am all screwed up now and I owe it all too Effexor...NEVER TAKE THIS EFFEXOR
