Im a 28 year old male and i had lipo done on my stomach about a year ago and i have a lot of scar tissue over my abdomen. So i got a kenalog shot(not too much) mixed with lidocaine injected at an angle(just under my skin) to eat away the scar tissue. i did it march 1 2009 and its now middle of April and i see no change in the shrinkage of scar tissue(which is pretty prevalant) however i don't want to do it again to early then have a dent in my stomach. does anyone know how long it may take to see the atrophy of scar tissue is it too soon? hope someone can help :) thanks!

I feel it lowers the rapid blood flow to the lower section which makes for a not so happy camper. Things are too soft, like wilted. Has anyone else had that experience?

Is anyone experiencing confusion, trouble thinking, trouble concentrating, decreased cognitive function, mental sluggishness, trouble solving problems or situations which require logical thinking and sequencing, and memory loss? Would love to hear from anyone experiencing any these symptoms and if so, how long were you on the drug.
Thanks!

I have been receiving Kenalog injections in my deltoid for allergies from my m.d. each fall for the past 4 years with no incident. Six weeks ago, Nov. 19 2007 I went in for the same symptoms and received the same injection of Kenalog in my deltoid once again. This time it seemed to be unusually painful but I thought it was just poor placement of the needle and did not think much of it. Now after six weeks I have developed a depression/ indentation in my shoulder at the site of injection that has grown to the size of a golf ball and is lumpy and soft even when I flex the muscle. It also has discoloration with splotches on the skin. It still aches and is getting more painful. After visiting my doc. today he seems concerned and claims he has no idea what it is and is sending me to the labs for more testing. In the mean time this is very strange and costly. After finding this web page it makes me wonder how could he have no clue as to this side effect? I am a otherwise healthy 30 year old male, except now I have a very weird looking shoulder.

Dear reader I write this as a warning and as a way to seek help. I was put on Desogen when I was 23 years old. I was on this drug to control my periods. I suffered all of the side-effects. During my first year on this pill I fractured my foot.

Why mention my foot, because hormones effect our bones as well as everything else. During my second year I lose the hair on the right side on my head. Told this to my Gyn doctor and I was enored. All the while I suffering depression, insomnia, mood swings, weight gaine, and scalp hair loss.

Buy the fourth year on Desogen I changed my doctor. Who later put me on Loestrin. This wasn't any better I was now suffering night sweats along with everything else. While on all these hormones I was also taking high blood pressure medications which only made matters worse.

All in told I have been on hormones for six years. How I stopped was by accident. Meantime I was also taking pain killers for my foot which now had been broken for five years.

After coming off all these hormones my body when though an over haul. First thing was the lost off sexual function, then there was the loss of pubic hair, the shrinkage of my right breast and right buttocks, I had surgary on my left breast to remove a precanerous lump, and now just recently I have notice the shrinkage of my righ arm.

There's alot more to tell. If any doctor comes accross this article please reply. I need all the help I can get.

Hello, My name is Karen and I received a Kenalog injection in my left arm for severe allergies. I was not told what the shot was at the time.

About a month after the injection, I noticed that injection site still appeared to be discolored, like a bruise kind of, and that I was developing a pea-sized indentation in my arm. I got concerned and scheduled an appointment with a different doctor at the same facility. By then, the pea-sized indentation had become a quater-sized indentation and it is very noticeable. The doctor said that the side effect is muscular atrophy and that it will continue to worsen. He virtually explained that there was little I could do about it. I heard him discuss the case with another doctor outside of the room He came back in and stated that the shot must have been outside of the muscular area, into the subcutaneous layer (which is fat tissue mostly). He said that a known side effect of Kenalog was subcutaneous tissue shrinkage like mine, and that it would fill back in within 2 months. It is painful and continues to deepen. :(
