Wow, i just happened to see on the news that singuilar has these side effects. As i write this i can't stop from crying. My 8 year old son has been on sigular for a year and a half now. He has had fits if rage, feelings of wanting to die, leg pain, stomacher pain, almost every symptom others have had. I would stay up crying at night trying to figure out what was wrong with him or me as a parent. Shame on the doctors who should of known better. I went to his doctors and told them about his behavior and outburst and physical complaints. I was told it;s a phase he going through. My son would tell me his legs hurt when he walked, well i thought it was gowning pains like the doctors said. I am so glad i found this web page. I now know for sure it is the medication. I will now search for a better way to treat his asthma and allergy's. I hope and pray that others will find this web page and know there isn't anything wrong with us or our children, however there is certainly something wrong with our doctors who should of seen the symptoms and told us what it could of been.

my 5 year old has been on sigular for about 6 months and I did notice some negetive side effects that have just seemed to get worse. Primarly irritabiltiy and more agressiveness - not really physical - but teasing and mean. He wasn't like this before - although we've had some hardship and exteme loss in his life during this time as well. He does however control it at school which makes me wonder if it is a side effect (he is only in school 2.5 hrs).
He takes 1 pill at night and sleeps like a rock - so much he doesn't wake to go potty and is still in pull-ups (another side effect??)
Anyway - I decided to take him off - only 2 days now - how long unitil I see results.

My only side effects other than headaches and great breathing. I have found sigular to be much better than my asthma medications and with less side effects. My puffers would cause atrial fibrillation but since I have been off them the afib is much better and breathing is better than the puffers!
Good medication in my books

My son is 17years old and has been taking sigular for 5 years due to allergies and a minor asthma condition, I am also seeing many of the side effects. The major ones are explosive anger, easy frustrations, laziness/lack of motivation, leg pains and cramps in legs, and when he sleeps it is almost impossible to wake him up in the AM. He mumbles and says OK I will get up , then after 15-30 mins and he is still in bed and constant attention by me to wake him, he finally wakes up and says, why has no one tried to help get me up and he is very anger. He has raised in bed, screaming, and punched at me during these 15-30mins, to later say, NO way I didn't do that, I don't remember. He seems to be in a trance!. I have been struggling to figure this out for 2 years now,
I do agree that I saw an easy going kid turn into one filled with anger and frustrations for no real reasons.
