I had an asthma attack went to the er and got a breathing treatment and they gave me prednisone (not sure what dosage was) but they said it was a very high dose. After some other tests they sent me home. Got home at 830 that night and went to bed. Woke up around 1100 pm, with skin feeling like it was on fire and heart racing, chest heaviness. Couldn't sleep all night. Went to drs office next morning said I was having a reaction to prednisone. Oh by the way I was feeling very anxious as well all night pacing the floor. That was Friday night, it is Sunday night and still feeling a little anxious, heart racing, coughing, diarrhea, chest heaviness and can't sleep. All this from one dose of prednisone and a breathing treatment. I am sure that it is the prednisone because I did take it one other time about a year a go and had some of the same issues.

I realize that there are some on-going conversations here between folks but I would really appreciate it if someone could please address/answer the following:
Would someone please tell me if they've experienced the following symptoms coming off of Yasmin?
Re-current:
Soar throat
Chest tightness/congestion
Fatigue
splitting/breaking nails
dry skin
Feeling down and depressed
I've been off now for almost two whole months and the month I went off of it, I got a cold that lasted two months. Then a month later, it came back for two weeks. And now, into my 3rd month, the soar throat and swollen glands came back again? I've never had this happen before in my life???
Did someone write about this pill affecting our adrenal glands and if so, where did you find that? What does anyone recommend? Could all of this be coming off of this pill?

I have been experiencing multible side effects loss of speech, word loss, memory loss, twitching of facial muscles around mouth, eyes, nose itching, facial skin feeling like it is moving and crawling. I need people to repeat information to me several times before I get things yet some other senses seem to be improving. I having serious problem with blurring vision I see no one has noted this problem and was wondering if it would go away too or would it do permanent damage? I am not losing weight from taking this medication either but I only take 100mgs afraid of an increase because of the blurred vision.

I have noticed a few side effects after 18 months of taking he pill:
NEGATIVE: constant depression, tiredness, irregular bleedings, vaginal dryness, no sexual desire at all, constant headache, hair loss, sensitive skin (feeling very uncomfortable/ tickly when someone touch my skin)
I must however point out the POSITIVE side effects that made me conitnue using the pill (hoping the others would go away!): clear skin, no acne, bad facial and hairline psoriasis totally gone, loss of appetite (weight loss)
Reading this page has made me realise that the negative side effects aren't going to go away, and so I am quitting this pill - and all others for that matter. I am 36, have never taken any other BCP's in my life and so I know my body reactions very well. It is not worth jeopardizing a happy family life with husband and 2 kids - all because of the above negative side effects. There are other natural remedies that regulate hormonal imbalances that can sort my skin out - and my husband has agreed to have a vasectomy...

In addition to all I mentioned in my posting before, I am now having burning skin feeling and my shirt can't touch my skin sometimes without it burning, hurting.
Has anyone heard if this drug leaves your system or not???
