My doctor prescribed seroquel to me for my severe anxiety. I took one b/f bed and woke up feeling horrible. I could barely get myself out of bed, I was foggy brained and lethargic. I thought it would pass so I went about my morning routine, when finally it hit me I couldn't take it any longer. And it resulted in a Full blown panic attack!!!! I took my clonazepam and eventually after sleeping for a bit, felt better.
I threw the pills in the garbage, I will NEVER take them again. I'm so scared to try anything new, b/c of what happened after taking seroquel. However I'm running out of options:(

I went to see my PCP in March 25th 2008 because my allergy. My pcp told me she'll give one injection since it's allergy season and it would make me fell better. She didn't tell me what kind of injection it was and I trust her.

The next day I was having panic attacks while I was outside on the street.
I couldn't breath because my heart was beating so fast, and I felt "pacey" all day. I just went home hoping the symptoms go away but it only got worse. I couldn't even walk because I was out of balance, my vision got blur and I had massive headache. I assume it was happening because the injection so I called my PCP, but she told me she didn't do anything different. My PCP had a day off so I went to the ER that afternoon. I had cat scan done in case I had stroke but my cat scan was clear. The ER dr think it's side effect from the shot.
I called my pcp 2 days later after my visitation to the ER but she never returned my call. Somehow, I couldn't trust my pcp I didn't go back to her.
I was hoping the injection fades away and try to manage my body. I start notice I had anxiety and couldn't sleep at night. I had pretty regular period but I had very irregular period following month and that drove me crazy because I had 2 full periods within a month and I had blood spots. I barely had period following month. I notice that I gain so much weight. I always watch what I eat so I never get out of control with my weight but I couldn't fit into my jeans I used wear. I also notice that I get back pain the side I had shot if I seat for long hours which I never had before. Now my legs are swelling ,numb and have tingling sensation. I was really concern so I call my pcp today to find out what kind of steroid she injected me. The medical assistant told me that doctor can't not give the name and he was giving me ridiculous excuses to not to give me the name of the injection . I was so upset and didn't make sense to me. I asked for the dr. and asked my pcp the name of the shot. It was "Kenalog". I googled the name and I found this site. I am really scare and I am upset at my pcp that she never mention what the injection was and never discuss the side effects with me. If I knew about the side effects back then I would never let her give me the shot.
I never signed anything with my pcp. My pcp promise to call me back today. I even left her a message again to call me but haven't heard from her yet.
I believe FDA is responsible for this steroid but doctors are holding great responsible also!

How long dose it takes to get back to normal? I would greatly appreciate for any information!
Dose anyone knows powerful lawyer?

Oh boy! Side effects to coming off this med! UGH! I am going through them as I type! It is the most horrible way to feel! I have tried in the past on several occasions to get off this med...but never had accomplished the feat as it is nearly impossible to get through the day! At my highest dose I was taking 300 mg daily... the Dr. weaned me down slowly and now am trying just to get off of 75mg daily! I am on day 4 without Effexor xr... needless to say the side effects are getting worse instead of better!
I am experiencing: dizziness, tingly feeling in my whole body, night sweats, almost hard to do anything because I feel as if I have the flu!!!!
To anyone who is given the choice to take this med...DON"T!! Getting off of it is the hardest thing to do! In hindsight... when I am on it fully it is a great med. It helped me regain my life without panic, anxiety, depression etc... Idk... people don't understand the hell we go through with all these meds. My poor husband can't take my complaining anymore! Although either can I! I feel like going and getting a pill right now just to feel better!

My husband has been taking Omeprazole for about ten years now. About nine months ago he went in for a endoscopy and the doctor said she wanted to increase the omeprazole of 20mg 2xdaily because of the acid reflux. Several weeks after increasing this drug, my husband began getting very depressed. He losted all interest in our business and started having severe mood swings. He couldn't sleep at night, screaming with cramps in his legs, heart palpitations, blurred vision, ringing in ears, hot flashes, headaches behind the eyes. Some night I thought he was having a heart attack. It only got worse, hallucination began and horrible nightmares. He thought I was putting drugs and poison in his food. and felt like the world was against him. He became very violent toward me because of the hallucinations. We went for a follow up at his doctor and she suggested a psychiatry. Of course, my husband refused because he felt nothing was wrong, it was everyone else with the problem. His attacks got so bad, it was happen everyday, all day. We have two small children and we decided to split up for the children sake. My husband left for a week and when he left he refused to take the Omeprazole. He called me during that week and said he has felt great, he was able to sleep, no anxiety. He said to me if you are not putting drugs in my drink and food..it's got to be the omerprazole.
Of course the doctors said it's not possible...he has been off these pills for 8 days and it's unreal how this symptoms has disappeared. He is still having some side effects and withdraws. I don't know how long this will be in his system but I hope it goes away soon. THIS IS A DEVIL DRUG. He almost took his life and my too over OMEPRAZOLE. My doctor recently wrote this drug for me but I will not take it... We would never know about how serious this little pill for heartburn was if we didn't research it. When you get this drug from the pharmacy, they only list some side effects and not the serious one...How many more people out in the world is dealing with this same problem and not aware of these serious side effect. This almost destroyed our lives. WE NEED TO TAKE SOME KIND OF ACTION, SO THESE SERIOUS SIDE EFFECT HAVE TO BE LISTED..

I was placed on this drug by my PCP after a change in my insurance this year. I had been taking Avalide to control my BP but my new insurance said my co-pay for the medication would now cost me $200 for a 90-day supply, or $50 for a 30-day script. The customer service rep suggested my PCP put me on lisinopril, as it was a generic in the same class as Avalide. I started taking lisinopril in February 2008 and almost immediately developed a tickle in the back of my throat that worsened into a dry, hacking cough. I initially thought it was due to the dry air of furnace heat (Indiana resident) and started using a humidifier in my bedroom. My PCP prescribed me a codeine-based cough syrup to control the coughing, which wracked my body so hard I often was incontinent. The syrup helped -temporarily. For the past month, I've been wracked by chronic and severe dry coughing spells. The coughing was worse in the morning and would frequent awaken me from sleep at night. My PCP took me off the lisinopril today and appealed my insurance to place me back on Avalide. This has been the worst experience I've ever had with a prescribed medicine, although my BP reading yesterday was 120/76.

I had Mirena inserted in January, 8 weeks after I had my first baby. I haven't had as many symptoms as others, but who knows it could happen if I keep it in. My symptoms are just some fatigue and lack of sex drive. I was blaming the fatigue on having to get up early, but I go to sleep early so it doesn't make since. I get between 8-10 hours of sleep at night. My sex drive was normal after I had my son, but after I had this dumb thing put in, I have had no desire at all. I have tried intercourse with my husband and it is just way too uncomfortable. It upsets me so much. I will be calling my doctor today to make an appointment to have it removed. The sooner the better!!! I will be getting back on the pill. I had no problems with it.

Just wanted to let you know that I took Paxil 6 years ago for about a month and had to come off because of the side effects. The medicine worked great for me as far as made me feel "normal". I was able to be happy and sad when most people do. My very first side effect was 2 to 3 days after I started I had my first hot flash in the K-mart. I thought it was weird then it became something that happened the whole month I took it. I couldn't sleep at night and would lay awake with my eyes wide open but was tired all day long. I also had stomach pains and would vomit often. I had a constant headache. So I came off and tried Zoloft. It didn't have as much side effects but it didn't help the anxiety/depression. My doctor did say if I could put up with the side effects they would get better with time, but I couldn't stand it.

My name is Bobby and I've been dating a girl who has been through some tough times. She took my advice and started taking an antidepressant, Celexa, 5 weeks ago. 3 Weeks after starting the Celexa, we began to have the relationship I always knew we could. I love her so much and for one week I was the Happiest man in the world.
Unfortunately, against my advice she started taking Yaz a week after beginning the Celexa. I told her that beginning two new drugs at once will eliminate the ability to identify which drug is causing which affects whether they be positive or negative.
After 3 weeks of Celexa and 2 weeks of Yaz, my girlfriend started acting alive and excited about life again!! She even started losing weight because of her beautiful new-found energy and zest for everything. She was playful, she was laughing, she was sexual, she was the girl of my dreams and we fell more in love than ever.
One week later (After 4 weeks of Celexa, and after 3 weeks of Yaz) a monster emerged who no longer can stand the sight of me. She doesn't want me to touch her, hug her, or even kiss her. She doesn't sleep at night. She screams and yells at me for being annoying when I'm doing things that once made her smile with love in her eyes.
I found an apartment today and decided to move out... I have never been treated so poorly by anyone in my life before. She's aggressive and verbally abusive. She's been complaining that people are talking about her and she seems paranoid. I made the mistakes of taking steroids a while back and I can tell you she is the monster now that I was then and both Yaz and steroids affect hormone levels and I'm telling you I just can't believe how many relationships this drug must be ruining.
Tonight I took the Yaz and threw all of it out. She got mad at me because she's afraid that she'll stop losing weight... I mean she's just completely lost perspective. I showed her pictures of us happy together and she still chose losing 3 more pounds over our relationship. I'm losing my mind... Just a few weeks ago she reminded me again that she wants to marry me and give me babies. Where has my future wife and future mother of my children gone??

I'M LIVING IN FEAR THAT SHE WILL FIND A WAY TO GET MORE YAZ B4 SHE'S BEEN OFF LONG ENOUGH TO SEE WHAT IT'S TURNED HER INTO.

SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP!!!

My doctor prescribed Loestrin 24 for me even though I have my tubal ligation because I have cyst in my ovaries and fibroid tumors. The birth control was suppose to elliminate the cyst. It did the first month I was on it. I had cyst tissue and bleeding throughout the entire first month. I have been bleeding everyday for two months now. I do take them everyday at the same time but that has not changed anything. I am always fatigue, cant get out of bed. Go to work and as soon as I get home I am in bed again. I feel very depressed and very moody. I cant sleep at night but I cant get out of bed either. I am always hungry and I just developed acne. As several of the other people state my doctor says its unusual and that the birth control has nothing to do with my depression or side effects. I have had so much blood work done and it always comes back normal. I think that the doctors want to see how long if ever the side effects will subside before they say just get off. But like other I was told it takes 3 months to get over the side effects but they have reassured me this pill does not cause depression. After reading all of the comments I am going to stop takng the birth control. Thank you

My son is 10 yrs old and has been taking Singulair for over 4 years. My husband and I have seriously been talking about taking our son to counseling and have been feeling helpless on how to help him with his feelings. He gets good grades but over the last few months he has been so emotional and cries very easily. We could tell he was extremely sad at times and would have very high highs. and low lows. He would get angry quickly and also complain of stomach pain. My husband and I did ask ourselves if maybe he could harm himself. Although he never mentioned anything about hurting himself, he did say he was afraid to go sleep at night and thought about death. We have started going back to church and thought he was worried about what happens after you die ie, eternal life. Last month I asked my husband to check out one of his Asthma medicines (Advair) for side effects because I had a feeling that this could be from a medication. It never occurred to me that it would be Singulair. My mother called me this morning and read an article to me. She had noticed his "sadness" when she came to visit. So here I am reading all of these similar articles from families going through the same things!!!! I am in shock and in tears!!!! We have a doctors apt in two days and will not be taking this pill again. PLEASE LET YOUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY KNOW ABOUT THIS! Many children will be diagnosed with add and given other medicine. My heart aches for what he has been going through! I am soooo glad I received that call about the article. My prays will be with you all.

I was prescribed Biaxin for a sinus infection and I was only able to take it for 3 days (out of a 10 day prescription) because of the ungodly taste it left in my mouth. I couldn't sleep at night because the taste of hot garbage in my mouth would wake me up. I tried chugging water, gargling with Listerine - NOTHING helped. It was so disgusting! I will NEVER take this nasty med again!

Hello ladies. I'm a 19 year old college student and I was having problems with fainting and it was suggested that I get the IUD put in because some women start to faint while taking the pill.

I've had it since December 2007, and I absolutely hate it. I have extreme mood swings, one minute I'm happy and the next I'm not. I feel like Ive come into a deep depression that I cant get rid of. I have extreme pain in my right ovary area, my back is constantly hurting, I probably have a headache more than not, I cant sleep at night, and I have a horrible odor that can be smelled through my clothing.

I'm so angry at the doctor who put it in. He told me nothing of these symptoms and even told me that women loved the mirena. I went online and it seems that on every forum women are hating it. I almost feel like marching in and giving him a dosage of the pain I've been going through these past few months.

I would NOT recommend the Mirena to anyone. It just simply is NOT worth it. But, does anyone know of what we can do for the symptoms? I want the IUD out, but my mother paid for it out of her own salary, so I feel obligated. Thanks for all the help ladies!

After my initial post I decided to leave it in even tho i felt freaked out by all these posts. For the next 2 days i felt like i was on drugs. i was smoking again, anxious and a bit loopy. I felt like a zombie walking around during the day, blacking out if i got up too quickly and couldn't sleep at night AT ALL. After tossing and turning til 4am i pulled it out and threw it at the wall in a fit of rage.

What a disappointment...what a waste of $90. I want my money back and my 2 days back.

I have only been using the NuvaRing for about 2 weeks and have noticed a ton of side effects that my doctor didn't seem to mention. My boobs hurt really bad, it's very painful to even put my bra on, I want to eat everything in sight, I have been on my period for 12 days and it doesn't look like it's going to let up any time soon (I'm 25 and have never went longer than 6 days), and I get raging mad or really sad over nothing, when normally I am very patient and unemotional. I also am very tired during the day and cannot sleep at night. I have had severe headaches, but didn't think anything of them until I read the comments on this site. I'm definitely going to take the NuvaRing out and try something else. I want to try an IUD, but the insertion kind of freaks me out.

I am a 48 year old female and have been taking Lisinopril for 5 weeks now and I feel like CRAP! I ended up going to the med.check because I thought I had something wrong with me from coughing so much but I didn't have a cold, or fever any other side effects but this horrible cough that I coughed so much and hard my eyes would get blood shot and I didn't know that. Now 5 weeks later it is because of Lisinopril. I just found out today. I was starting to be tired and really grouchy and mean very moody and not getting any sleep at night so I would suggest NOT taking this drug. Plus I have gained weight from it just in 5 weeks. DON'T TAKE THIS DRUG it will mess you up !

I started taking Yasmin about July of 2007.. i got married in sept of 07 and went on a honeymoon. i thought i was getting bit by weird bugs cuz i noticed insect bite looking things on my legs. up until that point, i thought nothing of it cuz it didn't really itch or bothered me that much.. although the bumps would NOT go away!! around end of November 2007 the itching started and it was so bad to the point that i had scratch marks all over my legs and i would find blood on my bed sheets (from the unconscious scratching i did in my sleep). i would always cry at night cuz it was driving me crazy and it kept me awake almost all through the night. i went to a dermatologist and he just gave me some anti itch cream which did NOT help me AT ALL! so i went back and he did a biopsy and the result came out to be "hypersensitivity to medication" I don't have any allergies against any drugs and the only new medication i can think of that I've been on since then is Yasmin. he prescribed me more medicine (Prednisone) which helped with the itching. he only prescribed 15 days worth cuz it's not good to take it for a prolonged period of time (contains steroids). now i have little itchy bumps all over my back, waist, neck, thighs, near my underarms, stomach, chest... pretty much every where except for my face. and i think it's a matter of time that it spreads to my face. i was told that it takes MINIMUM of 3 months for it to be completely out of your system. it's almost been 2 months since I've been off of it.. but i still show no signs of improvement. the itch still drives me crazy.. i still cant sleep at night.. and i just hope and pray that it'll be all over soon.. hopefully.

another symptom I've experienced was CONSTANT headache. it was to the point that i had to go in for an MRI. the results came back negative.. but when i stopped taking the pills.. no more constant headache.

I am a 48 year old male. Was placed on Zocor last year. Since the day I was placed on it, I have felt weak, no ambition, no drive, feel like a zombie. I eventually had pain in my legs so severe that I had to take Hydrocodone so I could sleep. The skin on my thumbs and two first fingers peels off. I haven't had a good nights sleep since the second day I was on this crap. I haven't been taking it since June and still have a lot of problems. I still am very weak, no energy, tired all the time, skin is still peeling off my fingers, can't think, can't keep a straight thought. I have pretty severe pain in my hips that started when I was on Zocor. Also, my knees are very weak, and they pop every time I get up. At the time I stopped taking it, I was unable to make it up a flight of stairs.
My doctor constantly denied any link between any of this and the Zocor, but amazingly, after I stopped taking it, some of the symptoms reduced. I still suffer from many.
I was a small business owner with 7 employees and have since lost everything. I have been unable to find a job now for almost a year. The doctors are all "programmed" to think and tell you that these are good for you.

I am a 47 year old female recently diagnosed with high blood pressure. I started it 10 days ago and after 3 days I started had a tickle in my throat which made me have coughing, hacking and gagging to the point of vomiting. I can't sleep at night and during my work day which is constantly talking to people I have to excuse my self to have my "coughing fit". My head of course is pounding from coughing constantly. I saw the Dr. last week and she thinks I have a virus of some sort. After reading all of these side effects of everyone who has experienced similar symptoms I am 100% sure it is the Lisinopril. If I were truly sick the cough would have gotten better or worse at this point but it has stayed the same. I am so upset all the time about this that my blood pressure has probably increased! The cough has gotten so annoying that I stayed home from work today and I decided to stop the medication. I would almost rather die(drastic!) than deal with this horrible cough!
