I have had my Mirena out for around 2months and thought I should let others now the outcome. I experienced depression and an almost complete loss of libido. I have two young children who aren't great sleepers and we are renovating, so it took me 12months and reading discussions like these to consider that Mirena may have been a contributing factor. My local doctor dismissed the potential link between the two. The family planning clinic where I returned to have it removed did not dismiss my suggestion and immediately removed it. I felt better within a week! I didn't feel like a big fat blimp even though my weight hadn't changed and my libido returned. I have stopped taking all medications and feel fantastic. I have always had problems with the hormones in the pill and Mirena was no different regardless of the low dosage. Good luck in working out what works for you.

Who ever said there is a fine line between love and hate must have been on Seroquel. I have been taking Seroquel off and on for about 4 years. When it comes to my dosage, I have been all over the map. I have taken as much as 800 mg. which I felt I needed for the insomnia in the beginning. I ended up at about 200mg. per night. I wanted as little in me as possible and still get a good nights sleep. Here is where the HATE comes into play, I GAINED 50 lbs. in about a 5-6 month period that time around. Nothing I did would take all of it off, trainner 4 times a week, low cal. diet about 1400-1500 a day. I lost about 20 over 3-4 months where I stopped loosing. I said the HELL with this and stopped taking it. I didn't sleep much during this time but I did get back down to my orginal weight. I recentally started taking my Seroquel again reguarlly and once again I remember why I HATE it soooooo much. I have now gained 40lbs. in about 3-4 months. So I was just reserching other methods for us non-sleepers. I just feel like I'm already being punished by not being able to sleep and to top it off, I get really fat.... as a bonus?? Its not easy to go from a size 2 to a 8-10 in 4 months!!! I will say the love I have for Seroquel comes from the wonderful sleep I get when taking it although it seems I'm starting to loose sleep thinking about how fat I'v gotton. Just wanted to say over my years of taking this medication I have gotton some great sleep but now that the weight gain is back for the second time any LOVE I'v had has turned to HATE.....again!

i been taken Lecaquin 500mg for 2 week i take my 7th dosag and i am expiring a rash, and two day after taken the 2 dosae i have been expiring sever head pain on my both just a little above the ear. I want to get of the med but my mother told me to keep takeing it because i only have 7 more for the med, but it has seem to help me. i argee with all of you that the FDA should take this medican off the market. But they won't because they seem to not care about all the side that have been reported. I think one death of a women should ring a bell To wake the FDA sleepers if that dose not do the trike then people should file site and sue them for casusing more pormels than helping them

I have had numerous side effects with tramadol (nausea, heart skipping beats, restless legs at night) but I was too desperate and needed something so I just started taking 2 half pills a day (total of 50 mg). Well, now I've quit after about 2 years because I have sudden onset swelling and tendinitis in both of my achilles tendons. There was absolutely no trauma involved and tramadol was my only medication. After doing research online, I found that this is a rare side effect to some other medications but it hasn't been mentioned for tramadol. I truly believe this is a side effect that just hasn't been reported yet. Also, it can lead to both tendons rupturing. I just hope I stopped the medication in time so that it doesn't lead to that. It's only been a few days and I have a lot of pain and difficulty with stairs. I think this will take a while to get over -- like all orthopedic related problems.
