Slow urination symptoms and conditions

i was on advair for about 4 months, i too experienced many of the side effects mentioned.

i had hoarsenss, thrush, sores on my gums and tongue.
my body i experienced hip pain and immobility, arthritis in pinky. i am very active in sports, i noticed muscle weakness in my abdomen, i also noticed i couldn;t get ripped like i used to while on advair, and a sagginess and roundness to my face. also experienced back pain/ache due to the advair. i noticed i tended to get injured much more quickly. i felt i constantly had to exercise to maintain my strength.

also frequent urination and slow urination, dribble etc.

then i tried serevent and flovent, almost all the same symptoms, got off of that

also had sinus problems, , when i got off advair, it's been around 4-5 months the side effects are all gone.

right now , i'm not on any meds except albuterol inhaler, it's been tough, but i am experimenting with other alternatives.

I have been on Advair since nov02. The advair was a great benefit to me and improved my breathing ability alot. Shortly after nov02, I developed urinary problems: slow urination, dribbles, constantly getting up at night to urinate,etc. I went to a urologist who checked me for an enlarged prostate but mine was normal, PSA was normal and DRE exam showed that prostate size was normal. I was also given antibiotis for 10 days as treatment in case it was an infection but that didn't help. Since that time, I've been taking Hytrin to control the urinary problems and it seems to work except at night when I must get up 3-5 times each night to urinate. As an experiment, I did not take the evening dose of Advair on three separate occassions and I was able to sleep 6-7 hours straight (without having to urinate)! Now I'm wondering if all my urinary problems are related to Advair???? I have asked my doctor about this and did not really get any response other than "I never heard of Advair causing urinary problems".
I also have most other symptoms others have described here like sore throat, horseness, fast heart rate,etc.

I would like to know if others have also experienced urinary problems since they started using Advair and what they are doing about it.

My doctor has recommended that I take Flomax because of recent small stream.I said lets wait till I check it out.Glad I did.After reading comments on this site No way.I am sticking with "Saw Palmetto".I found out that over the Counter Medicines with "AntiHisimines" Cause me Slow Urination.
Such as "NYQUIL" and "PM" type Asperin.NO MORE of this.Thanks to all that commeted on this site, you saved me a lot of grief. PS Stream is better now have increased dosage of "Saw Palmetto" Two Tablets a day instead of One. John Curtis
