I'm a 49 yoa ex-smoker with emphysema; smoke free x 5 years. I had 20x15 vision up until I started using Advair. My wife, for the last year or two, has continuously reminded me to stand up straight. Evidently I've developed a slouch.
This morning during an Advair commercial, I heard that side effects can include eye problems and Osteoporosis.
I'm not so sure about this stuff anymore.

One of the things I craved the most after coming off of Pred was chocolate and although I have set my mind strictly on salads, fish & chicken, the cravings for sweets is still there but then again Mind Over Matter. So instead, I take a tspn of honey, it's healthier and doesn't make my face to break-out. Many people say that after Pred they feel less hungry so I think the fact you quit smoking may contribute to your hunger and cravings.
By the way, good luck on your way to become a smoke-free person :)

I have been taking Wellbutrin for about 2 months now. I orignally started taking it to quit smoking & have now been smoke free for 5 weeks. I have lost about 20 lbs. & I feel great. I have no problems going to sleep, in fact when I lay down I don't remember anything when my head hits the pillow. I haven't experienced any of the symptoms that others have listed, I think it just reacts differently with different people. I love it.

The only side effect after 7 months of the gum is a nausea.
This only occurs if I have chewn too many pieces in one day.
Aside from this (which has only happened when I have been careless) I can not see any negative reactions or results.
I am smoke free and free of the hand to mouth habit. When I have my 2MG boxes ready to wheen me off the gum. I have chosen to continue this long not out of necessity, but the fact that I actually like it

I had trouble breathing, my throat burned, my eyes watered and I was constantly coughing. Finally I realized that I had just started my job in a backward workplace that still allowed smoking about two weeks after I began using Welchol. I worked with our city council to get smoking banned in all workplaces and then finally did. All of my problems are gone, now that I can work in a smoke-free environment and the few problem addicts can't smoke on the premises. The Welchol was never the problem, it was toxic tobacco smoke.
