Male here. I've been taking wellbutrin and lamictal for a number of years. Since I've been on wellbutrin i have these crazy, mind-blowing, super intense orgasms. like nothing I've ever experienced. It last nearly a minute. I cry out so loudly that i have to gag myself with socks so as not to alarm the neighbors - seriously, i'm not kidding. Afterward, my throat is sore, like when you've been at club and speaking very loudly to be heard of the music all night. I'm not complaining. Anyone experiencing a similarly strong effect?

Responding to a couple of posts: Low energy and leg cramps are signs of low iron, you might be anemic, ask your doctor to have your iron checked at your next blood test. Also, ask about taking a multi-vitamin, all of the literature about Warfarin mentions not taking vitamins but it’s more about consistency. I’ve been taking a multi-vitamin daily - with my doctor’s permission - and I’ve had very consistent PT’s and INR’s. I’ve been on 7.5 mgs of Warfarin daily for six months and am holding steady. It is very important to take it every day if you do take a vitamin, it’s important to be consistent.
And about the socks, they are called compression stockings and can be prescribed by your doctor, or some are also available at drug stores, ask a pharmacist at the store.
And also about headaches, it helps me if I stay hydrated. When I don’t drink enough water I tend to get headaches.
I’m back to exercising at my pre-pulmonary embolism rate, it took me six months to get there, and I started slow, but my body has gradually responded. I’m 52 and was pretty healthy before I got sick. Just keep at it, you’ll see results (and feel better too!).

I'm 52 and I've been on Warfarin for a year and a half after having a mechanical aortic valve replacement performed in China, with an American titanium valve. I went through some serious episodes of blood thinness, then moved from northern China to SE Asia. 10 months after being here, I continue to work long days, but my energy is all over the place. When thunderstorms come in (daily) I have migraines, but this may be due to head injuries years ago. The main problems for me are up and down episodes of energy, and when the energy is low, I go pale. Pain in my knees and feet when I don't walk enough (maybe an hour sitting), or walk too much (maybe an hour walking) and very rarely what I think is something like aphasia -- the right words don't seem to come out on rare occasions -- maybe too many languages crawing in my head :). I used to walk an hour and a half per day -- not any more. Blood is on the thick side -- surprising because the diet her is very low fat. I want to get back into walking, get my strength back. I also have heard of socks that help in blood circulation. If I had a name or a brand, I could probably find the product in Thailand. Any idea, thoughts? I'm very frustrated.

I have been having recurring UTIs and I had taken Cipro which did not clear up the first infection. My doctor prescribed Bactrim and wanted me on it for two weeks.
During the first week, I would feel dizzy for 2-3 hours after taking a dose. I had body aches as well, but thought I was getting the flu.
At the beginning of the second week, I broke out in hives. I have very sensitive skin and figured I had touched something that irritated my skin. I took benadryl and the symptoms went away.
The next day I broke out again, this time worse, and I noticed I had hives all over my body including on my feet and on my head- (which alarmed me, because I now realized it was coming from something inside). I thought it was something I ate. I took benadryl when I got home from work and they went away.
The day after that, I broke out again, and a co-worker mentioned that she had an allergic reaction from Bactrim and I should check online. Her reaction was dizziness and feeling sick to her stomach, but I looked anyway. When I saw that hives a side effect I called my doctor. They told me to stop taking the Bactrim and that I was allergic to it.
It will be a week tomorrow that I stopped taking Bactrim, and I still have hives everywhere. Last night, my entire back was covered with a red sunburn-looking rash with long snake-like hives. My boyfriend says the hives look like worms under my skin.
I would suggest to anyone that has any kind of reaction (dizziness, headache, body ache, rash, hives, etc.) to call their doctor ASAP. I should have know to call when they were making me dizzy in the first week, but sometimes you don't realize what is going on until you have severe symptoms. Doctors should tell people about the possible side effects when they prescribe this stuff.

I'm 54 and have taken 31 tablets of 5 mg Lisinopril.
I've experienced cramps in both calves.I've had so much pain in my left hip and top of thigh I can barely walk. Had to get my wife to put my socks on!
I'm not overweight I may add (155lbs) . Now started getting niggly aches in shins and fingers. Spoke to my doctor yesterday who said stop taking them and report back to him on Monday.
Seeing these comments make me feel that I'm lucky to have come off this drug so soon - but what the hell is he going to give me instead ????

My mom was put on Levaquin for 3 days to follow up on a Colitis diagnosis. She began hallucinating, hearing voices, can't sleep, loss of balance, among other things. We suspect it's Levaquin and took her off yesterday.....how long until she gets back to normal? She seems to be getting worse even though she is off it now.

My husband was on lisinopril for a couple of years. A few months ago, he started to get a rash. We thought it was a soap allergy so we changed all our bath, hand and laundry soaps to hypo allergenic. He continued to get worse. He felt extremely tired and weak. He felt chilly most of the time. The rash at first peeled and was red but did not itch. Then it began to itch really bad and it spread to his feet. He took his socks off one day and skin from the soles of his feet came with it. He had a rash from head to toe. He was incredibly thirsty all the time.
His Dr. and a Dermatologist got him off the pills and treated the rash with pills (fexofen) and an ointment. Within a couple of days, he was markedly improved. Now, almost a week later, he has healed almost completely.

I have had the Mirena since October 2006. My Public Health Nurse suggested it...It was to help with my mood swings, such as crying all the time, and the feeling that something bad was going to happen. Once I got it,,,I noticed that I did not cry on a whim, in fact I could hardly cry! My nose and sinuses would actually hurt if I did have the need to cry...almost like my body was fighting the urge to cry. I did get neck pains and also I was not having my period for MONTHS! Until, I went to see a traditional healer and he told me that I was very sick...he gave me a special root to help me...and I bleed for 7 days straight..I felt so much better! and lost a little weight. But, the feeling of panic went away. But, now i notice that I am getting dizzy constantly, I cannot even bend to put my socks on. I walk with my hand on the wall to help me just in case I do fall....I have fallen 2 this week alone. I did have some neck pain recently, and I went to the doctor he basically told me I have fluid in my ear and it would take 6 weeks to go away...I told him about the neck pain in my neck on the right side...he never even bothered to check it. I am starting to wonder now If this birth control is even worth it...and I am seriously thinking of having it removed and then getting my tubes tied. I hope anyone out there who has the same symptoms like me would send me a message....******

I am a male of 67 years old. I took Lipitor for a year, and after a few months of taking it, I felt muscle pains in my arms and shoulders, as well as my back. I felt weak and could hardly put my socks on by myself. I told my family doctor that I thought the problem was caused by LIpitor. He said it couldn't be possible, but he couldn't figure out what was wrong, so he sent me to a rheumatologist, who gave me an initial diagnosis of polymyalgia rheumatica. I went back for a checkup, and although the sed rate was normal, the C-reactive protein was elevated. He felt his diagnosis was an accurate one. He prescribed prednisone for me. I had some doubts about it, since I am diabetic, and was concerned about the elevated blood sugar it might cause. Well, it did elevate my blood sugar, and I weaned myself off it within three months. My blood sugar went back to normal, and while the prednisone helped the symptoms of muscle pain and aches, after I stopped it, the pain returned with a vengeance.
About a year passed after discontinuing the prednisone, and I felt worse and worse. Any time I engaged in physical activity, such as yard work, I was almost incapacitated for two or three days. I felt weaker and weaker, and by now, my activity is about ten per cent of what it was three or four years ago. I am unable to do anything physical without paying a heavy price.
I would tell the doctor that I felt the problem was caused by the Lipitor. He would dismiss my comments, saying that the pain should have gone away after discontinuing Lipitor. He sent me back to the rheumatologist with results of recent blood tests. Both the sed rate and C-reactive protein were normal. The rheumatologist touched my back and other areas, which caused me to jump. He said it might be fibromyalgia. I told him again that I thought it was caused by the Lipitor. He said the same thing my GP had said: if it had been the Lipitor, the pain would have gone away when I stopped taking it. I know the Lipitor caused the pain, because I tried red yeast rice for a couple months. The pain increased to almost unbearable, so I discontinued the red yeast rice. If I were not susceptible to the pain from the Lipitor, would the red yeast rice have increased the pain?
So here I am with a fuzzy diagnosis from the rheumatologist, and no clue from my family doctor (that he will verbalize, at any rate). My life has gone steadily downhill. I used to be a strong, active person, but now I can do very little, and my strength is a shadow of what it formerly was. What can I do?

Trying to figure out if my back pain is like others. The pain is in the lower left side and groin area of both hips. I have trouble reaching my feet to put on shoes and socks. Ive been on Lipitor 20 for about 5 years and have never had a problem before. This started about 6 months ago and even with heat and stretching it seems to get worse. It hurts when I stand for any length of time. It hurts to walk or run. It hurts very badly if I try to straddle something like an ATV or a horse. When I sleep (if I can) I sometimes have to put a pillow between my legs and lay on my side because it hurts a lot to bring my legs together. Feel free to email me at ******

I am a 41 yo woman in good health. I started Toprol xl about 3 years ago for a heart palp that would happen maybe once a day, and occasional racing heart beat. I did great for a long time on 25mg once a day. Then about 6 months back I was switched to generic due to insurance issues - they only want to pay for generic.
It took me a while to figure out what was happening, but several problems started happening over the last few months that I am sure were from this generic drug. Suddenly I was having vivid dreams - fish swimming on the ceiling, cats with heads 5x too big! Worse yet, over about 3 months I gained 20 pounds with no difference in diet. And I was getting more and more tired. I started looking into what could be causing these crazy effects - I was only on Toprol and birth control pills.... well, it was not the birth control!
So, I decided to wean myself from the Toprol. I decided I prefer a heart palp and occasional racing heart to this!! I gave myself a couple of weeks of lesser doses, then 5 days ago I stopped it altogether. I am having some horrid "rebound" or withdrawal effects! Numb/tingling hands and feet, headache and - surprise! High blood pressure! I never, ever took this med for HBP, and I have never had HBP! I always had a nice, low blood pressure, even when 9 months pregnant! Now it's running around 135/93 - I work in a medical office, so I got one of the nurses to check it on Tuesday...she sort of freaked! She said she has seen much higher, but mine is not normal. So we have been checking daily, and it's staying up there. I am so mad to think Toprol could have damaged my body in some way so that my blood pressure may not stay messed up for life. I have read online that the rebound effects can last up to a month, even with a fairly low dose like I was taking. Does anyone know if a month is about right? If my blood pressure keeps this high, I suppose I will have to seek treatment at some point. Ugh!
On the plus side, I don't feel so tired. No vivid dreams since I stopped the Toprol, and much better sleep! I feel "clearer" mentally. I just wish the tingling hands and feet would stop - and the high blood pressure!

I was on 1000mg per day 500 in the morning and 500 at night. I had one or two episodes of flushing and if it was not for this site I would have gone to the Emergency Room because the burning of my skin was so severe that I was in a panic. I found this site and it calmed me a bit. After the flushing comes the itching. For me it is on the inside of the legs starting on the ankles and then the toes and then it moves slowly up the legs and sometimes hits the thighs. Sometimes it hits the underside of my upper arm. This was mild and tolerable and went away in a couple of days.
Now I have been moved to 2000mg per day and the flushing is under control, but the itching has gone out of control. I cannot deal with the itching. I sit in business meetings and want to scream. I find myself at my desk with my shoes and socks off rubbing my feet and ankles because it is intolerable. I have broken the skin many times and bleed from the scratching. I am intelligent enough to know not to scratch, but sometimes it just gets the better of me.
I have no idea what triggers this because I can count on it lasting three to four days and then it goes away again.

I began 15mg of Remeron per day about 1 month ago. At first, it was wonderful. I slept better than I had in years and my depression was reduced greatly. I felt hope for the first time in ages. However, about a week into it, I started to become aggitated VERY easily. I would get angry at anything. This has not subsided at all...in fact, it's worse. Now I wake in the middle of the night with my mind racing and either in a rage or STARVING. I eat a lot. It's nice to have my appetite back, but I crave sweets too much. I can accept that symptom if it wasn't for the rage and inability to stop my mind from switching between utter numbness to anger. I'm going to give it longer, in the hopes that it brings me back to where I was when I started taking it. If this keeps up though, I'll be in trouble.

I am 59. Not overweight and now eat intelligently .Had moderate heart attack in August 2001 and have taken 20mg of ZOCOR every day since.About four years ago I stated getting mild pain in right buttocks muscle and groin but thought this was just "AGE" setting in.Doctor thought it was arthritis in lower back and causing associated musle strain.Went to physio but no progress in pain alleviation, in fact pain and weakness kept getting steadily worse.Pain then started in left shoulder last spring (2007) then about three months ago really severe in left hip and buttocks. Sleep was interrupted every night by pain.Movement from sitting position to standing/walking was like a ninety year old, slow and stumbling. My legs felt nearly numb when walking.Getting out of bed in the morning and putting on my socks became an ordeal of PAIN.
Seen my doctor last week and told him of current status and that I couldn't go on like thisanymore. He said to STOP the Zocor immediately. I can feel the difference already, in one week!!! Not perfect but maybe 50% improvement!!!
He ordered a battery of blood tests including PSA . I just hope something else isn't now really F--ked Up from taking this stuff for six years ?
I will defiately NOT TAKE ZOCOR or any other STATIN again!!!

I have been taking adderall for over a year, but for about 10 months ago, I started taking wellbutrin also and since have had chronic problems with my ears, It's actually getting worse. Not so much ear infections, but the pressure is actually pushing inward. So i feel light headed just funky all day. Kind of like a head cold without the cold. I can't figure out which one is causing (i think wellbutrin) since that's when it began. But it could be the combination. Just wanted to know if anyone else is experiencing this. I am 35 female.
thanks pam

I have been on Lisinopril for over a month and today was the first day that I could wear shorts. My wife looked at me and said how did you get a sunburn? I could not have gotten a sunburn because I have not been out and Anchorage, Alaska is just now warm enough to go out in shorts. The red area stops at my sock line so I pulled my socks down and the red area has not changed. It stops at the sock line and I have no idea what else it could be.
I am taking Lisinopril 10 MG twice a day, one Zocor 20MG once a day and one Hydrochlorothiazide 25 MG per day

I have been taking the max dose 80 of lipitor for years now and everyhing was fine un til recently. Now, I can hardly type this note today as my arms, shoulders and legs are really painful especially my arms. I cannot raise them to pick up anytthing or put my socks on in the morning. It is much worse in the am. My doctor thinks it has to be the lipitor as all the other blood work was negative. I have been off Lipitor now for over a week but there are no signs I am improving. My doctor says it could be up to 6 weeks for me to feel somewhat better. I walk in the am like iI am 95. It is hard to believe Lipitor has caused these pains since I have been on it for so long.
I have never been in this much pain and discomfort in my life and I am 66.
Please help if you can.

Taking low dose of Lipitor 20mg for about 6 months. Genital peritoneal edema gradual but kept getting worse. I had so much swelling that it felt like when I was 9 months pregnant with my son. Labia area of skin was dry and splitting. I had a hemmrhoidectomy (unrelated) 4 months after the hemmroidectomy, I suddenly had an anal fissure that the surgeon said he usually only sees in older male gay patients. I am a 44 year old female. I stopped lipitor. The swelling went down within 3 days and two week later the anal fissure is healing. My doctor that put me on Lipitor says it can't be the Lipitor. He can't exlpain it either. I don't think he plans on reporting my side effects to anyone. Now I have horrible kidney pain. No bladder pain. Doc says some blood in urine. Put me on CIPRO. 36 hours later, pain is worse. Can't bend over to put on my socks. Trying to figure out what to do.

I started on 10mg of Lipitor a week ago. I have excellent cholesterol levels (total = 184; HDL = 77; LDL = 91), but because I am a diabetic (I have been for 35 years), my physician suggested that I begin taking the drug.
I feel like I am hooked up to a diazepam IV!!! I am totally zoned out and have very little energy...and I don't really care if I get any of my work done or (not good!) The other thing that is driving me crazy is that I am cold all the time. As I am typing this, it is 70 in the room and I have on a turtle neck sweater, two sweat shirts (one with a hood that is up), a pair of lined jeans, two pairs of socks, and down slippers...and I am STILL cold. Has anyone experienced this side effect? I don't think that this drug is for me...

I started this med yesterday for staph infection. My immune system is run down from 24 days of hemorrhaging with menopause and finding cancer in my bloodwork and catscan. My skin has thinned and I have large sores all over my body. This med was given to me yesterday and also my diabetes med was changed because my immune system is so weak it is kicking up my bloodsugars. Can you tell I am run down? I went to bed trying to throw up this pill today again and went to bed with chills while it is 105 degrees in Texas today. I even had to put on socks. I feel lightheaded and kind of out of it with blurry vision. Hard to tell what is from meds and illnesses but is no fun. At least I feel better not being alone with this. I am also burping a lot and I never do.
