Somone symptoms and conditions

I was on prednisone for 6 days 60mg the first day and then 40mg for the remainder and beginning the day after the last dosage for the following 3 days my body would crash. I would go through these severe mood swings I would be fine one and then about 1/2 an hour later feel very depressed for a while. I also felt swollen and heavy. I knew it must have been the prednisone because I have no other reason to be depressed and then somone else I knew had similar emotional side effects

I am a 27 y/o male in good physical condition (i did a triathlon 2 months ago) I was prescribed levaquin 750mg a week ago for an throat infection and fever. After the first dose I had sever abdominal pain (like someone was stabbing me). After the 3rd dose my back started to hurting and my calf's cramped up. I stopped the medication immediately. It has been 5 days since I stopped the medication and I have a burning sensation on my back. It is on both sides and stretches around toward my stomach. It feels like I have bad sunburn but there is no redness, swelling or discoloration. I also still have fever and muscle spasms all over my body (mostly in my legs). I went to my doctor yesterday and he is running a bunch of blood testes and I hope he can find a way to treat the symptoms. Does anyone know how long this should last? I just want it to go away so I can get on with my life. Any help or suggestions are appreciated.

The cough from Lisinopril is from the ACE inhibitor (drug classification not isolated to just Lisinopril), one of the main side effects of almost any ACE inhibitor is a persistent dry cough...do not stop blood pressure medications without discussing with your doctor. There are many other blood pressure medication which are not ACE inhibitors and will not cause coughing, but will control you blood pressure....ask you doctor to try a Angiotension receptor blocker or BETA blocker I've been there I thought I would go crazy from the cough I experienced!!!. I was on Avapro...it worked great for me, but when my insurance wouldn't cover that paricular medication I was switched to DIiovan, and it work well also without side effects!!! Geeezz, i dident realize such a WEak drug could do such thing, somone email me back if they agree, i have been taking doxycyline for a while now and they only side offects i have had is mild skin iching , here and there, and thats from the Generic brands, get the DOXYCYLINE brand (Time release capsules), all good, this drug is not a head drug... nausia vomiting as if , i have taken nearly every illegal drug and lots of legal drugs and im telling all you people doxycyline is not a drug that will do all those horible things that your saying, wake up

All medications have anticipated side-effects, so why can't we accept the positive benefits of meds provided to the public on a self-selected commercial basis !

Well I dont know if I have Prednisone but I think I have some side effects. Well I have light spots on my face I think It was from the the sun but im not sure, Once in a while I feel dissy, It was only once. I had some pain in the stomach area but I think It was cramps because I have my period. Im not sure what It is I really need an answer. I dont want to goto the doctor unless Im sure that its nothing or somthing. Please somone Help me find our what this is.

I was very interested to find this site and the information people have provided. I think that almost any information found on the internet must be taken with a grain of salt: A particular car may receive rave reviews from several owners, while the same one is bashed as the worst vehicle possible by others. There are web sites that show "proof" that we never went to the moon, and other ones which have been set up to debunk them. As such, I hope that everyone will decide for themselves whether Levaquin is good or bad for them. As for me......

I had a script for Levaquin, given to me for a previous upper respiratory infection. At that time, I was able to beat it on my own without the meds. Over this past weekend, I developed a sinus infection *and* an upper resp. infection, and decided to employ the Levaquin (500 mg).

Monday night, I had very little in the way of side effects. Some slight muscular pain, mild chills/sweats, and restlessness, all of which could be attributed to the fact that I just generally felt bad. Last night, however, I took the second dose, and within about two hours, it felt as if somone had sucked every bit of moisture from my joints. Stretching alleviated some of the discomfort, and I was able to get to sleep, which did bring some pretty strange dreams.

Based on these symptoms (and after reading others' experiences), I'm going to cease the Levaquin, and see how things progress.... a "better safe than sorry" approach. If the infections don't subside, then I suppose it's off to the doc for an alternate solution.
