I change to Yasmin three weeks ago, but I totally regreted. I have lost my appetite I just want to be drinking water. I feel dizzy sometimes because I haven't eat properly.I spend more time on the toilet at night that on my bed. Everytime I urinate I feel cramps on my uterus. My nipples and breast are always sensitive and painful. I feel that I am going to give birth (bloating) pain in my uterus, cramps and pain on my back. When I have sex I feel that my husband has spines on his penis it hurts and burns so bad. besides that my sex mood is going to hell. Do not mentioned my mood swings I can not stand no one. Sometimes I feel not talking to no one I even quit my telemarketing job. I feel sleepy, tired and always yawing anywhere anytime. One day I slept until 3 pm, my husband thought I was sick since I didn't want to get up from bed. When I have the chance to eat immediately has to come out, my bowl moments are like I been taking metamucil in every meal. Honestly Yasmin is WORST than Otrho-Low. I belived that there is no contraceptive good for our body.

My wife, Cathy a 52 year old beauty just started taking Topro-XL and what a major difference in her mood. She is currently complaining of being overly tired, lack of concentration, memory loss or attention to detail has slipped. She has also experienced an increase in weight gain or water retention. In either case, it has been extremely hard for her to loose this weight. She has always been extremely fit and athletic, but lately she has a lack of interest in most activities. Since she has been taking this drug, I have encouraged her to spend more time meditating (with me), exercising deep breathing excercises, which seem to reduce her stress level. Since we have been doing this type of excercise, she has cut her perscription of Toprol in half. Soon we hope to be completely off this drug. More to come!!

Severe and constant pain, numbness and weakness in my left arm and tingly sensation in my left hands and fingers. Neck and shoulder pain on left side as well.

PCP recommended all sorts of expensive tests MRI, CatScan, Nerve conductance...everything is normal. Decided to take matters into my own hands and I found all this information about Toprol side-effects that sound familiar to my own.

I'm confused as to why my PCP wasn't aware of these side-effects and ordered up all the expensive tests instead of first lessening the dosage???

I decided to slowly wean myself off Toprol 50 to 25 and yesterday was my last day, today the side-effects are much less severe and much less frequent.

If the pain and numbness disappear totally after a few weeks off the Toprol I am going to change PCP's.

Oh well, I guess I have to spend more time exersizing.

I took 20 mg ZOCOR for 4-1/2 mos.and have been fighting horrendous side effects for over 5 months. My total cholestrol was 181 when my Dr prescribed Zocor to help LDL/HDL. After 3 mos, a liver test was OK. Then 4 months plus, I started to stiffen, top of arms and back of leg muscles weakened. Very little warning. I stopped ZOCOR immediately, but continued to worsen to the point of not being able to get into a car, drive, stand by myself, reach, hold anything at all in my left hand. Worse thing I've ever had. A Rheumatologist gave me prednisone, surely helps; I refuse anti-inflammatories with yet more side effects. DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS HOW TO GET OVER THESE TERRIBLE SIDE EFFECTS. I was told it could take up to 2 years for recovery. I am 70 and don't want to spend more time in pain.
