Stab symptoms and conditions

I have taken Avelox before with only minimal side effects nausea and diarrhea were the only ones I got but they were enough. I have been suffering from chronic sinus and ear infections for going on two years now. My doctor gave me samples again of avelox on Monday. Last night I had to be rushed to the hospital. After throwing up all day I got a severe headache. I felt dizzy and out of sorts all day but when I couldn't take the headache anymore I tried laying down. With this medicine you can't take any pain relievers so I thought if I just went to lay down maybe it would ease up some. Well it didn't, and before I knew it I was shaking uncontrollably with tremors and could no longer put sentences together. My head hurt so bad I just wanted to stab myself to make the pain go away. At the er they gave me an IV with something to help with the headache.Anyway after taking a Ct scan and not seeing anything on there the er doc gave me the ok to go home and gave me a script for pain meds. I was having hallucinations, anxieties, and could not speak correctly. I am still having trouble making sentences, I am stuttering, which I have never done before. And I can't get words to go together to make a sentence. The Er doctor wants me to follow up with a neurologist. My tremors still haven't stopped and now I sound like the guy from rain man when I am trying to make a sentence. This is pure torture and I feel like I am in someone else's body.

I got my Mirena inserted in May 2008. I thought this was great since I am horrible at remembering to take the pill. I am 29 and have tried numerous BC. According to my GYN at the time, I was informed I would not experience weight gain and very minimal periods along with occasional cramping. I understand everyone is different. Well, the weight gain was much a lie as I have gained 40 pounds since the Mirena was inserted. My lifestyle has not changed. It took me a year and a half to loose 60 pounds and 6 months to put most of it back on. I encounter two periods a month and they last 7 days. The cramping can be horrendous. I am more tired than I usually would be but being a mother of two I do not have time to think about it. What concerns me the most is after intercourse I experience horrible sharp uterine pains and I begin to bleed. I feel the Mirena poke/stab me during intercourse but try not to let it affect mine and my partners relationship. Don't get me wrong, he is very understanding. The last time we had intercourse (2 days ago) I experienced strange clots which seem to be a bit more than just blood clots and since then I have had a pain around my left ovary area. It has left my lower abdomen area tender. I made an appt. in 2 weeks to have the Mirena removed. Have anyone experienced the after intercourse pain and/or bleeding?

Here are some more side effects that I encountered during my ordeal with Lipitor. A week after I started the medication, I started experiencing blurry and decreased vision, this used to go away and come back sometimes, I could swear I always had 20/20 although I never went to eye doctor, but I never needed glasses all my life, if fact any type of glasses will blurry my vision and make me dizzy. I had my first eyes exam a couple days after I discontinued Lipitor, guess what? I have 20/20 vision.
More details about the back and right arm pain, not only the pain was unbearable, I felt my muscles sagging and they did not have any strength, this thing sucked the life out of my muscles, it made me very tired and easily irritable. My fist victim was my little baby ( my beautiful 4 year old), her daddy couldn’t hold her anymore, I even avoided staying close to her, because anyone who touches that right arm will make it feel like another deep stab to the arm deep into the bone. I have never experienced pain like this. I knew about toothache when I had a cavity at 23, but it was fixed and went away, I even experienced the pain of a broken arm at 16, but this thing was something else. The other victim is my wife, I stopped doing stuff, I used to be a very active dude, I do stuff on weekends with family and even every day after work ( you name it, park, boating, swimming pool, malls etc..). It felt like I was dying one piece at a time, going down the tubes fast with no clue of what was wrong with me.

Both my sons have bad allergies. Both were recently prescribed Singulair after other drugs were not very effective. My oldest, 12, started feeling "strange" and asked to be taken off Singulair. He was not himself on the soccer field or at school. Since we stopped the medication, he has returned to normal. My 8 year old had a much worse reaction. He has bad mood swings and tonight became suicidal. He was searching the kitchen for knives to stab himself. He had fits on the carpet beating himself and the floor until I got him a pillow to take his aggression. My wife notified our doctor and school counselor. We're stopping his Singulair immediately.

My daughter who is ten has been taking singular for two years. My uncle and my mom had both told me about the recent report. I was outraged. Since I didn't see it myself, I got online to check it out. I am so pissed off. My daughter has at times seemed to be depressed, my husband and I just thought it was a phase. She was never consistently depressed, more of an up and down thing. And she was fatigued from time to time. I never made the connection to Singular. I mean seriously it's an allergy medicine. And I always read the label. Never once have I ever seen a label say " may cause depression, or suicidal thoughts." I immediately took her off of it. Her last dose was 3/27/08. I noticed a difference almost right away. With in a day or so she seemed to be happier. I am so pissed off at myself and the doctors. of course I would have no way of knowing singular could cause this. I guess as a mom I feel like I should have know. I feel horrible!! Never once have they ever said anything of these reports. The FDA will be hearing from me. They hand out the medications like candy and have no idea what it really does to people. I just PRAY that my daughter, my nephew ( who was also on it for quite some time) and all these other kids out there have no lasting side effects from this medication. I currently have had Mirena in for 6 months. I like it because i haven't become pregnant and my hair and nails seem to be healthier, but there are a lot of things that are truly horrible... I have really bad lower back pain feels bruised, restless leg syndrome at night, horrible weight/food craving issues, a metallic taste in my mouth, nausea most nights, many mood swings, acne - especially on chin, occasional numbness in hands and/or feet at night, unfocused/blurred vision sometimes, headaches, the strings stab me sometimes (they are about as hard as fishing line), and my husband feels it and yes it pokes him. Its sorta like being pregnant without the happy ending.

I've only been on singulair for 6 days and it is now 4:23am. I just couldn't sleep tonight. I've been having the strangest dreams and I commented to my wife about them. We just laughed it off. Anyway, at this time of the morning, my EARS are "Hissing" so loudly, not ringing, however I do detect a slight pulsating tonal sound in my left ear, that I just couldn't sleep anymore. I've a history of Tinnitus but something has exacerbated my tinnitus dramatically, so much so it is keeping me awake. I think I'll be needing something to help me sleep now. Perhaps I will stay off the Singulair for now just to see if life returns to some kind of normalcy. Could it be a side effect of Singulair. I don't know but I felt like driving something through my head to stop all the loud noise. Has anyone else experienced elevated levels, or a new development of "Ringing in the Ears", commonly known as Tinnitus?

Am a 28 yr old female and I was given 4 samples of Levaquin for a UTI, i went on the website to read about the drug, since am healthy and have never had any bad reactions to drugs and they listed minimal and rare side effects I took it, the first night I didn't sleep but my UTI was clearing up, but the second night within two hours of taking, it made me crazy, panic attack, anxiexy, my head was racing out of control, and i was soooo hot i run to put cold water over me, i turned on all the lights cause i was afraid i was being attacked by a force, and at one point i wanted to take a knife and stab my head, thats when i began to scream and my husband ran to comfort me, he held me and i began to pray and am not religious, out of deseperation i took some night quill and after 30 min i began to calm down and to somewhat sleep,thank god because we were about to go to emergency room, this all happened last night and am still in bed cause i feel out of focused, and still a bit afraid. i have been on-line today researching and am appaled of how bad this drug really is, i will never take this and i will tell everyone i know about it, and i went n filed a complaint with the FDA and suggest everyone else does so, now i just pray i don't get any other side effects.

Extreme muscle pain in legs, upper arms, shoulders, and lower bacK. I thought I was just working too hard in my garden but nuscles never ached while I was at work, only after I sat or lay down afterwards. Lately it has become very difficult to get up once I'm lying down. My neck and shoulders stab when I move them, and my lower back has a kinfe-like pain when I try to get up from a lying position. My neurologist has just ordered a blood test to check for the possibility of what he called an extremely dangerous side. For several years, I've had trouble with imbalance and tingling in hands and feet. I am looking forward to hearing the test results. Problem is, he says, just getting off he drug might not cause the symptoms to disappear. I feel frightened. I've been taking lipitor andfive years or more.
