Wow, I'm so glad I found this website. I am not an anxious person, so when I began feeling really anxious and having heart palpitations it was really unusual for me, but I figured it was something situational. I never suspected Yasmin. I wanna go off of it, but am concerned about the side effects people have had in going off. Can anyone share how long it took to feel "back to normal" after going off of it, and anything that helped in the meantime. Thanks so much.

Amyr, denise and everyone.

I am so upset. Last night I woke up in a full anxiety attack. Shakes, inability to sleep & focus, and vomiting! I took one xanax .25 mg. Did not help. I took one again this AM and nothing, I am still shaking, short of breath a little and dizzy.

I have a call into the cardiologist to go on a BP monitor for 24 hours to see if it is my BP (my reg doc ordered that I do this). I have been off of yasmin and all BCP for 6 days now. I went to the psycholigist's office for eval (by a counselor)yesterday and she didn't think i need paxil, but she is not a doctor. The doc will see me in mid-feb.

I did not start the paxil. I want to talk to the cardiologist first. I cannot tell you how SCARED I am. I cannot take care of my 2 little girls, embarassing! My parents and friends are helping me.

Best to all of you... I will keep you posted, please do the same.

Positive: I get a good nights sleep.

Negative: I feel no emotion & weight gain. But I take with bromocriptine & venlafaxine. The venlaf.. & Quetiapine help the depression and insomnia caused by the bromo. I don't know which out of the three, or if the combination of all three, is causing me to some nights shake like I am freezing and my teeth chatter. But I have the heat cranked, three blankets on and i feel like I am sweating under the covers but I am still shaking like I am very cold. I don't understand that.

I am just writting to tell my story. I started taking Levaquin on Friday 2/25/04 for a sinus infection and on Monday I was rushed to the hospital. I was in ICU Monday and Tuesday. I was released Wednesday 3/2/04. I had a siezure and they were not sure I was going to recover. I could not speak, was having tremors and had an anxiety attack. The doctors told my daughter they did not know if I would be okay. I have know been told that they have to make sure there are no lasting effects so for six months I can not drive, cook or take a bath by myself. I am still shaking and have trouble thinking clearly. Well thanks for listening. Not sure what to do now...

My doctor prescribed Methylpred for post operative swelling. Mid-way through day one (of the 6 day course of treatment), I began to have the 'shakes'....... I seemed to become hypersensitive to pain and was unable to rest. In fact I found myself pacing and very restless. If I tried to sit, I would feel compelled to shake my foot....... Very disconcerting.

The following morning when I saw my doctor for my post-op visit, I mentioned my symptoms. Though I likely didn't need to; I was shaking and trembling so badly. He said my reaction was not uncommon and suggested that I skip 'day 2' and commence with 'day 3' level of medication. If the shaking was still bad and inhibiting me from sleeping; to skip to 'day 5'.

I have done so. I'm still shaking though perhaps not as badly. I can discern little inprovement in my swelling. Though I am continuing to use ice packs as he also directed me to do.

Over all I can't objectively say that this has helped my swelling or the expected discomfort cause by it. I will try to following through with the next several pills of Methylpred as my doctor suggested. I'm home now and my husband and I can sort of settle in for the next several days and moniter my situation.

I'm scheduled for my next post-op visit (to remove stitches) in 10 days. I anticipate that by then most of my swelling will have diminished considerably.

Personally I have to wonder if for post operative swelling; if the side effects I'm experiencing are worth whatever benefit the medication my offer.

I began takng Reglan yesterday for help with the let down reflex in breastfeeding. I was told to take it every 4 hours. After the first dose I became very tired, after the second I became shaky and "hyper" unable to sleep, while still feeling exhausted. I have not taken any more for 5 hours and I am still shaking and unable to sleep.
