I am in my 4th month of taking Yasmin. It was reccommended from a girl that I know at work and also my boyfriend's sister takes it. I have heard lots of good things about it. I started having anxiety problems, hot flashes, headaches, and I even tried to wear my new contacts, but I can't...it's like my eyes rejected them or something, and this is a side effect listed in the information packet that comes with a new package of Yasmin...about 2 months ago. I was taking Nexium for the first 2 months while on the pill and I assumed that it was the combination of both. Well, I started feeling better with my indegestion and stopped taking the Nexium. My hot flashes went down by half. (I would normally have about 3 or 4 a day.) Now, it's about 1 or 2 day, or every other day. After stopping the Nexium, I started getting antsy, depressed, crying at the drop of a hat, crying because I lost a dern poker hand with my boyfrend, anything and everything made me upset. I haven't experienced that for about 2 weeks now. Now, in the 4th month of taking Yasmin, my breast have become tender...very tender. Even my nipples hurt. I have this pulling sensation in my abdomen. I don't know whether I'm pregnant or what. I've never been before, so I don't know what I should feel like. I also have Fybroid Cysts Disease. I've experienced that for about 5 years now, but I haven't had any problems with new ones for about a year or so. Anyway, I was reading the other ladies' postings and I'm wondering if my side effects are from this pill. I'll probably go to the doctor next week if my breasts are still tender and if I have this pulling sensation in my abdomen. I will post again and give an update on what the doctor about all of the above and y'all's postings, too. Thanks and I hope everyone gets back to normal! -Melissa

I, too, have the dizziness. I was given a higher dosage of Neurontin-I'm up to 600mg over a one year period and she's talking about taking me to the max. I have a two hour commute to be an Executive Secretary where I am supposed to be able to remember things for an entire group, be well organized, be able to multi-task and be the "energy" for my group. When I started this job 4 years ago, I could do everything and was considered a type of wonder woman. Now I do good to type a basic memo after about an hour of rewrites because my concentration is so poor, my desk looks like a tornado, I am two months behind on getting some financial reports in that should be done monthly, etc. I am a wreck at work, just getting by.
I was in physical therapy and on skelaxin a month for the back and neck pain, I did notice some relief when I was doing the exercises and getting the e-stem, but my muscles are still tender and now my lower back is hurting. I also feel like I constantly have sinus pressure in my face although I breath fine and take allergy meds during the bad seasons.
Hope my comments help someone here.

I had a Kenalog injection in my arm in late February for seasonal allergies and it has caused a slight indentation as well as discloration (darkening). Its about 1cm in diameter and the area around it is still tender to the touch. My period was longer than usual (11 days) right after the shot, two weeks later got period again for 7 days, a week later I spotted and now I am waiting to see if I'll menstruate this month. Does anyone know if it deteriorates muscle or fat?

I just finished my 2nd pack of Femcon . For the first 3 or 4 weeks I had headaches and was nauseous often. The symptoms were more avoidable when I began taking the pill at night. I occasionally still woke feeling nauseous, but it didn't last long and soon ended. My breasts have gotten bigger as I now have trouble fitting into some of my bras. I am not complaining though, since I was a small B cup before. They are still tender and feel tougher. I also did notice I was getting some big zits (3 or 4 at once when I usually have 1, if any, a month) the first few weeks were hell, but I am glad I stuck it out. I know the side effects can really be miserable, but I encourage you to try and stick it out, for at least a month and definitely try, if you can, to take your pill a couple hours before bedtime so you can hopefully sleep through the unpleasantness.
good luck! (:
