Earlier today somewone wrote that all bp med. have the same side effects, I have to dissagree. You can't watch tv and not shake your head when a new medication is advertised. The list of (possible) side effects is almost laughable if it wasn't so scary. I don't know why one person will have a reaction to a med and another won't, and sometimes the reaction is imediate and other times comes on slowly. But to my point. There are 4 or 5 different TYPES of bp med. They all work differently on your system and all come with their own set of side effects. That as I said before may effect one person but not another.
Now I do agree that High Blood Pressure is a silent killer. For those who do not have problems on this med. feel lucky and I wish you the best. For those who have had sometimes disabilitating side effects, don't give up sometimes it takes time and trial but find a alternative that you can live with. If your dr won't help find another dr. Be smart reserch every med prescribed
and don't be afraid to speak up, It's your life. I was told lisinopril was not the cause of my coughing, leg aches, headaches,
and sinus problems, but after demanding a change, guess what, 2days later, no simptoms, and after 3 weeks, still doing good.
good luck and good health, Rick

I am very glad I've seen this site. I was not on synthroid long, but I can tell you I felt horrilbe from it. I started the medication in August 2009, and quit
taking it in October 2009. I ached all over, I had a hard time getting up from a sitting position, headaches, very fatigued, stomach problems, constipation.
I stopped taking the medication and felt much better. I called my Doctor in December to ask what I should do and he said start them again and see what
happens. He said the dose is so low he dosen't understand why I have problems. Well I took it for 4 days and suffered all over again. I quit
again. I just started again and after the sixth day I got so sick I was trembling badly. I also felt very nauseated. I quit taking them again. I made
an appointment with another doctor. But I will not take that medication anymore. My stomach still bothers me but not as much as it did when I was on the medication. I believe it will get better now that I am not taking the medication.

I was diagnosed with UC about 2 years ago after I came back from Mexico. Thought at first it was just the side effects of the country, but didn't go away so my medical dr. had me see a gastroenterologist. He started me on Prednisone, about 40 mg a day but had a difficult time with that so went to 30 mg. and also was doing the Rowasa enemas. Within weeks, I was feeling better and started weening off the pred. I was put on Balsalazide to help stay in remission. This involves taking 9 capsules a day, then I went to 6 on my own and stayed in remission for about 7 months. Then I got a resp. infection and the UC was back and has been since. We have tried a few low doses of Pred. but didn't work. Also tried the Rowasa enemas, they help some but didn't put it in remission. Still not in remission, and now I have an anal fissure, a tear in the anoderm of the anal canal. This is the most painful thing I have ever had. Since the diarhea has been pretty bad, it can't have time to heal and they don't want to do surgery until I get the colitis back on track. I get by each day by taking Extra strength tylenol and some advil, I also have stomach problems for which I take protonox. I am going back to Cancun in less than two weeks, so to get things under control, the Dr. has prescribed 40 mg. a day again of Prednisone. I really don't want to go back to it but see what some of the side effects of the other drugs are and since I am in a lot of pain, I am willing to try and go through it all again. The worse effects for me are the moon face, usually about 10 extra pounds, and facial hair (which I just use a little electric hair remover right over the top to help the appearance). With the UC, I had a lot of joint pain so I have started taking fish oil pills daily 2-4 a day, and that has really helped. I am also going through menopause now and take Black Cohesh Extract for that, which has pretty well stopped the hot flashes. I will be on 9 Balsalazide a day and the Prednisone, with some Rowasa on hand, but am willing to do it so the fissure can heal or I can have the surgery, that is truly the worst part of this right now. I have tried to start eating less roughage, smaller meals, more bananas and yogart and also am taking a probiotox which was recommended by the pharmacist. I know what Prednisone can do to a person, but what I am going through it, the pain right now is far worse. I hope to have some relief so I can enjoy myself on vacation, will be very careful what I eat and drink while there but am determined to have a good time. I also take xanex at night, .25 mgs. is all, had trouble years ago with panic attacks and this drug is great for helping you calm down. If needed, I increase it to two a night but hope this helps with the insomnia which will come with the Prednisone. Awful drug, but am willing to try anything at this point.

I am 31 yrs old, was put on Lestrin 24 to alleviate my problems I have been having with ovarian cysts. I am now on week 3 of pack 4 of BC pill. I have been experiencing the breakthrough/spotting side effects still, even though my doctor said that should subside after pack 3. And on top of that, I have been experiencing stomach problems. Not feeling well, gas, and some diarrhea. But more often than not, I just don't feel well. I am wondering if it's from the pill or if it's some other problem I have been having. Just wanted to see if anyone else has been experiencing this problem.

My 12 year old son was given prednisone 2 and 1/2 years ago when he had a reaction to a bee sting. Almost immediately upon taking the drug he developed stomach problems and was out of school for almost a week with what we thought was the flu. He developed an anxiety of eating and became hypersensitive to food. We did not make a connection to prednisone, as our doctors did not indicate any. We just thought he had a stomach bug. Well for over 2 years now it has been one thing after another including nausea, headaches, dizziness, feeling weird/not himself and now it has accelerated to full blown panic attacks. It is completely interfering with his life. He has attacks at school and during all the activities that he enjoys. We just saw a psychiatrist a week ago that identified prednisone as the possible cause to these 2+ years of craziness. I want to take the correct next steps. He is currently prescribed an anti anxiety med to deal with the panic, just so he can function. What I want to know is how I can medically correct the damage that was done to his adrenal system or anything else that has become imbalanced. I don't want to just treat the symptoms. We need to get to the root of what has happened to him chemically that has caused such a drastic change his mood and how he thinks. The kid is riddled with anxiety about everything. It is out of control and very scary.

I've been on the pill (Sprintec) for about a year and a half now. At that time I had been living in a house with black mold (which can make you crazzzzy) which made me begin serious constant anxiety attacks and depression. I met my boyfriend around this time and thought maybe I was just a little hormonally imbalanced (and for other reasons), I got on the pill. At the same time, I also moved out of the house with the black mold. So I contributed my anxiety attacks going away to my birth control, because for some reason I couldn't wrap my head around the fact that the black mold did that to me. But the fact was I still was depressed and had anxiety. I used my boyfriend as a crutch for the year and a half. We broke up about 3 months ago, so I've been a complete emotional wreck. Anyway, I switched over to the Nuvaring, thinking if I got off a birth control I'd be a mess ever more so. But every since I started it, I've been a complete utter mess. A rollercoaster of emotions, crying uncontrollably, fighting my worst fears in my head, anxiety that won't go away, "wetness", my sex drive has actually increased (which is weird) and my body aches. I'm going to try to go off it after my birthday in hopes that I will feel better! Wish me luck!!

Hello,
I am a 24 year old woman who has been taking Yasmin for 2 years. WORST YEARS OF MY LIFE! Everything I've been through with this pill has been horrific. It is so relieving to know that so many of you have felt the exact same symptoms as me. It makes me feel like I'm actually NOT going crazy after all! I have constant feelings of anxiety, dizziness...I actually had to be rushed to the hospital by ambulance one time because I was so dizzy I couldn't even walk or get out of my bed. They did all these scans and found nothing, told me it was a bad case of Vertigo. Everyday, I feel dizzy, my stomach problems have been so bad, I've done lots of tests on my stomach for acid reflex, etc only for them to tell me it was stress-induced acid reflex. I've had so many anxiety attacks, detachment from reality, feeling weird being in my own body, detached from myself. Everyday I feel like crying, or I get so mad I feel like throwing something against the wall. And normally I am sooo not like that! This isn't me, I feel like I'm losing my own identity because this isn't myself, its Yasmin controlling my life. I never wanted to take them in the first place, I only started when my gyno diagnosed me with polycystic ovarian syndrome. So after reading all your stories and confirming that this is definitely what's led to my horrible life lately, I've thrown away all of my pills and am stopping them completely. I will visit a homeo doctor and experiment with some natural treatments. THIS PILL IS EVIL! It will ruin your life, stop while you can!!

I started taking doxycycline one year ago to clear acne. I've put up with the side effects up until this point; finally, I could bear the pain no longer, and decided to do research on the subject, with hope of helping the pain. I found this site by doing so.

From my personal experience, this drug is awful; it may have helped clear acne, however, at what cost? Every time I take the drug I must fall asleep within twenty minutes; if not, I'm awake for the entire night with unbearable nausea, stomach pains, headaches, discomfort in my upper chest and neck.

Also, until reading this forum, I had not noticed where my depression had come from. But, I have noticed an odd switch in my personality, with no logical cause other than this medication. This depression has caused suicidal thoughts numerous occasions - I would say weekly.

Now that I think about it, every time I run out of the drug I am a happier person; until I pick up and consume the next dose of the prescription.

I continue to take the drug and battle through the unbearable pain simply because I want my acne gone; however, from an outsiders view I encourage each and every one of you to discontinue the use of this drug immediately. Immediately!

Do not fall subject to the terrible side effects of Doxycycline Hyclate.

P.S. Does anybody have tips for removing this nausea...I'm going to get sick.

Wow Reading all your all's post has really got me thinking, I'm a 23 yr. old mother of 2 beautiful little girls... I was having a lot of Stomach problems before I ended up with the Mirena IUD back on Feb. of 2008. I thought it was going to be great and I wouldn't have to worry about having another Child til after 5 yrs... I was wrong I have had close to all of your all's symptoms, The cramping, the bloating, the nausea, anxiety, depression, that weird fishy smell... and I'm a very clean person. Sex is actually starting to hurt again. I wanna get mine removed because I know that I will feel so much better once this is out of me. I actually thought I was pregnant so many times because it show's all the pregnancy symptoms. I honestly don't know if I will be able to produce another child and If I do, I just wanna go ahead and have it and get my tubes tide... I honestly don't know what I was thinking :( This is one of the worse things I have ever spent money on.

I have been on Toprol for 6 mos, after switching from the generic metoprolol for 1.5 years. It has made a HUGE difference being on the name brand versus the generic and well worth the extra $$. The generic would cause heart palp, stomach problems etc. I even asked the pharmacist if there was a difference in generic vs name brand and he said yes..same active ingredient but who knows what else they put in there. Blood pressure went from 150/90 to 114/76, but I have also changed my lifestyle to low-salt, walking at least 3x a week, more positive thinking!. Also I have lost weight after getting on this pill @20 pounds but not sure if its because of the lifestyle change or what. The only bad aspects of this pill is the depression it can cause and I do seem a bit anxious sometimes, especially at night. I am 38 y/o with no family history of high bp, currently taking 100mg.

Has anyone else experienced VERY frequent urination? I was on Desogen from about February until I stopped a month ago. The urination was getting very bad all day and started slowly in May, but progressively got worse until it was unbearable from about August until I stopped taking it. It was only during the day that this was an issue.

I have now been off of it about 3 weeks, and I am still experiencing the same symptoms. How long will it be before the pill is out of my system and I can see if that is what is causing the issues? HELP!

Oh!!!! I thank God for finding this site. I have been so down and out for the last 4 to 5 months. I'm 48 years old and had my Mirena put in March 2009. It was very painful for me but I quickly got over that with minimal spotting. Since the insertion I have gained at least 10 pounds. I don't weigh myself but I go by how my clothes fit. I consider myself an athlete who is a decent runner. I've completed 12 marathons to date. I know how to work out and how to eat. But for the life of me I can't get rid of this. My breasts feel like they did when I was pregnant - tender and larger. Then I started having stomach problems. Terrible bloating and pain. I went back to my OB and they did a pregnancy test which of course came back negative. I went to my family practioner who put me on prescription Zantac for my stomach issues. With all this going on within a 7 month span, I knew something was wrong but until this morning I didn't know what. I called my OB and talked to the nurse and she said that the weight problem I'm having is just because I'm getting older. HOG WASH!!!! She can't tell me that what I'm feeling is normal. I can't live like this anymore. I will just have to use some other birth control.

My daughter had switched from the birth control pill Low-Ogestrel-28 after about 2 1/2 years (no side effects at all then a little spotting mid cycle) so she saw her primary care and the dr. told her that her body had become used to that paticular pill and switched her to Yasmin. The first month was ok and then in the 2nd month I noticed a big change in her attitude..she became very short tempered during the entire month and then when she was on the placebo pills (the days prior to her period) she really became a crazy angry woman. When on the other bc the week prior found her more sensitive and crying...such a total flip in her nature.
Then on the 3rd month the vomiting began...nothing major at first - random maybe once a week and always in the morning...after juice or soymilk. So you explain it away by saying that it's first thing in the morning and theres more acid on your stomach or she was hungry when she went to bed and it's from that. She began having headaches around this time also..Ok so she stopped having anything but water with her English muffin first thing in the morning and things evened out with the stomach thing - for a little while. She was incredibly tired and had a weird sore throat - killer sore throat - never had strep before (she's 20 years old...) she got an appt. to see a N.P. in the dr. office and she asked me to go...while we were there I asked not only the medical assistant but the N.P. (nurse practitioner) about the law commercials that I had seen regarding Yasmin..they blew it off as just a bunch of ambulance chasers wanting money and that it was safe and effective. They were adamant about it. Ok I dropped it..after examination the NP told my daughter that her lymph nodes were enlarged and she had A. strep B. Mono C.all of the above. Tests ruled out Strep but we had a winner on Mono. While she had the week off from work I noticed depression along with the headaches and also the stomach problems came back. Always in the morning, but it became every morning now..we thought she was hungry and she would eat and feel fine and then about 5 minutes after finishing her breakfast with only a small amt. of water to go along with it she'd have a period where for the next 15 -30 minutes she'd either throw up (and once doing this would feel fine) or it would work itself out and she'd be fine. It had gotton to the point I don't know who dreaded the morning more her or me. We are now in the 4th month of Yasmin and this began to happen every single morning and then toward the end of the month it would start being random at nightime..no vomiting but feeling sick - like it had begun in the beginning with the morning stuff. It came to head the other day- Saturday October 10th 2009. We had gone on a overnight trip to see her grandparents and we had to leave early in the morning (4 am) so she took the pill after having a little something to eat (no liquids) by 2:30 that afternoon she all of a sudden felt like she was going to get sick..and boy did she - violently sick - then again at 6:30 - violently ill- projectile and again at 8:30. I got on the computer and started researching Yasmin....and it all came together. I told her no more pill...she is in a serious relationship and was using Yasmin not only for the terrible painful periods that she was having but for protection so we needed to take that into account...she was safe and she is now off that pill. She did not take one Sunday (11th) or Monday (12th) and I cannot tell you how much better she is. This was someone who had lived with a constant stomach ache for over 4 weeks...we could outfit a pharmacy with all the otc meds I have bought - pepto, rolaids, gaviscon, maalox, YOU Name it we have it in regards to stomach distress..and nothing really helped. A burp and feel better for a little while but it was always there..that low lying ache in the tummy. She spoke with a friend that works for a doctor on Sunday and told her about the Yasmin and the woman couldn't believe that she had been prescribed that..she told her to get off it immediately (she already had) and that the dr. that she works for will not prescribe Yasmin or yaz to any of his patients. My daughter's personality is back. She is laughing and happy and a totally different girl. Headaches are gone and most importantly NO stomach pain at all. Completely gone. She can eat and drink and no problems what-so-ever. She looked at me and said "I can't believe I lived like that for so long, I had forgotten what it felt like to feel good - like me". She is calling a Ob/Gyn practice this morning and hopefully will be seen by someone today. What a nightmare. My heart goes out to those of you that have posted and have had much worse things besides what my daughter has gone thru. The FDA needs to do something about this !! What can we do to get this information to them? DO NOT TAKE OR LET YOUR FAMILY MEMBERS TAKE YASMIN OR YAZ - IT IS HARMFUL.

For any person that got the Gardasil vaccinations and did NOT have any side effects or symptoms, PLEASE go and have a pap test done immediately! We are getting reports of these girls that had no side effects to the vaccine that are now getting cervical lesions and cervical cancer. So if you know of anyone that received Gardasil with NO side effects, PLEASE tell them to get a pap test done immediately!

My 16 yr old daughter was also injured by Gardasil. She had 2 of the 3 injections (Jan 9th and March 9th, 2009). Before Gardasil, she was a happy, healthy and vibrant teenager. Since Gardasil she is sick every day of her life. She has dizziness, overall weakness, numbness and tingling in both legs and left arm, back pain, neck pain, pressure headaches, vision problems, breathing problems, chest pains, racing heartbeats, brain fog, stomach problems, nausea, diarrhea, weight loss, hair loss, jerking all over spells...the list goes on and on.

She was an A/B student but failed her 10th grade year because she was too sick to retain what she was trying to learn (brain fog). She no longer has the energy to go off with her friends. Most days she lays in bed, in pain.

This just doesn't happen to a healthy teenager!! And it just doesn't happen to THOUSANDS of other girls with no connection except they all had the Gardasil vaccine.

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure this one out.

Please educate yourself as much as you can before you allow anyone to push this unproven and unsafe vaccine on your daughter! The guilt is overwhelming from a mothers' standpoint! I thought I was doing something to protect my daughter. Instead, I allowed the doctor to inject poison into my child and take away her life!

These 'side effects' are NOT rare! They are happening every day to literally hundreds of thousands of young girls after receiving Gardasil. The numbers in VAERS is estimated to only be between 1-10% of the true numbers! Try asking some of us moms who have to deal with these horrible side effects every day if we consider it to be RARE!

Everyone should look at the other side of the fence and research this. There are thousands of girls that are coming down with strange illnesses, paralysis, gran mal seizures, etc. after receiving Gardasil.

We are now getting reports of girls as young as age 9 that are breaking out with genital warts and severe cases of cervical cancer AFTER receiving Gardasil. Some of these girls/women did not initially have any side effects from the vaccine.

There are perfectly healthy girls all of a sudden come down with all of these strange sicknesses (some that I cant even pronounce) after getting jabbed with Gardasil. All within hours/days/weeks?

Just like Merck's 'wonderful' Vioxx...what will it take? How many dead/injured before someone takes notice?

The doctor that literally pushed this vaccine on us at a routine doctor visit told us that there were no side effects except for soreness or redness at injection site.

She also told us that it would protect her from a whole LIST of things! I had seen the commercials but had not researched it.

As a matter of fact, I never really THOUGHT about vaccines until my daughter suddenly started having all of these strange health issues.

She was ALWAYS a healthy child, happy and outgoing, active and just a joy to be around.

Now, she is a totally different child. She is always sick..always in pain..and cries a LOT, so scared that she will die in her sleep from the breathing problems. She describes it as breathing through a blanket or that an elephant is sitting on her chest.

She has SO many of the exact same symptoms as all of the other girls that have been injured.

It is NOT a coincidence! All of these Gardasil girls have the same symptoms, some worse than others, but the bottom line is the one thing they all have in common is Gardasil.

These symptoms are NOT in their heads!

My daughter started having dizziness, overall weakness, pain and numbness in both legs and left arm BEFORE we found out about any of these other girls having the same issues.

When I called her doctor that gave her the vaccine (as soon as she started with these symptoms) she said it was NOT the Gardasil vaccine that is causing it. How could she be so sure? This is such a NEW vaccine...a DANGEROUS and UNNECESSARY vaccine!

HPV is not an STD (research this!).

Cervical cancers have gone down 70% since the PAP smear came along.

This is NOT an epidemic! Why are they mandating this vaccine for as young as 9 year old girls for a vaccine that doesnt even do what they claim it will do?

Girls are now coming down with cervical lesions and HPV AFTER receiving Gardasil! I'm talking about healthy young girls that did NOT have these things BEFORE getting Gardasil.

Young girls dropping dead within hours of getting the vaccine and they think we are all stupid enough to believe it was a huge tumor that was in her heart and had spread to her lungs? (I'm speaking of the 14 yr old that just recently died after receiving Cervarix).

If that young and healthy and active young girl really DID have this so called huge tumor, she would have had symptoms. A tumor like that doesnt just up and kill it's host without a 'wasting away and painful period'.

That is a complete cover-up!

Just like the young girl that has been paralyzed and hospitalized for the last year, Ashleigh Cave. Because her mother was trying to speak out and find out what exactly happened to her daughter, they have now placed that child under protective orders! To shut the mother up?

This is all about $$$$$ at the expense of our young daughters (and now sons) health and lives!

It is an outrage!!!

Please see my posts at ******

And this website:

******

There, you can see other girls' stories and their pictures..there is also a memorial document with pictures and stories of young girls that have died after receiving Gardasil.

I am 21, and I have been on NuvaRing for 4 years. I got on it to regulate my periods. I loved it because I did not have to take a pill everyday, and I would know exactly when I was going to start. After a couple months of being on the NuvaRing I was getting really really tired. I had no desire to do anything but nap. I had become anemic. After I got on iron pills, my energy level increased and I was back to normal. Also, during the first year my immune system went down tremendously. I was sick with more than I have ever been. Still I did not blame the NuvaRing. During the next year I started having bad stomach problems. I could not keep anything in without having to run to the restroom, and I was constantly nauseated. After losing 20 lbs, I decided to go to the Dr. After doing tests, his only response was that I had IBS. After a few months the stomach problems ceased. My appetite has decreased tremendously. My mother brought to my attention that ever since the NuvaRing I was constantly complaining about not feeling well. I was in denial. I loved knowing when I would start my period, and I could not take pills everyday. Life went on. The third year, I almost passed out at school. I have felt like this before, but only when I hadn't eaten. I went to the Dr. and I was found with a heart problem. I had a procedure, but I still feel out of breath occasionally. I have chest pains occasionally, as well. I still get really nauseated, but my immune system has gotten much better. Therefore, I tell my mother that I am better, no need to stop the NuvaRing. In the past year I have noticed that I am an emotional rollercoaster. I drive my friends, family, and boyfriend crazy. This past week it hit me that I could be having side effects from the NuvaRing because I have ALWAYS been very happy. After getting on here and reading everyone's side effects, I am amazed. Everything that I have been through the past 4 years is probably because of the NuvaRing. I am going to try to stop the NuvaRing and see how much better I can feel. I can't wait!

My experience with nuvaring:
I thought it was good at first. I have been on it for 3 months (with no break). I have skipped my period, but I did have some spotting after the second month. Actually it was thick dark old blood mostly on and off. I have noticed I my sex drive has significantly decreased, but I thought it was because I started taking Zoloft around the same time and I know that is a side effect of zoloft. After reading this, I see that the nuvaring must be a factor if all these other people are saying the same thing. The reason I was doing a search though is b/c I have had reoccurring symptoms of BV. Once was really bad but the other times were mild (including now), but I know when something is not right.
I just took it out (today) b/c I thought maybe not having my period could be a factor or the ring itself. Im going to give it a break for awhile to see if things change.
I do not seem to have the mood problems like the pill has affected me in the past, but I have had nausea, and stomach problems on occasion; yet I don't know if the nuvaring is to blame. I have lost my sex drive, and have had a problem with dryness about the second month of using it (or earlier), yeast infections, and BV symptoms.
Has anyone else had BV more frequently since using the nuvaring?

Three weeks after taking Lisinopril (10mg 1x) I developed a severe back ache that migrated to my lower right front section. I started having problems with the strength in my leg muscles to the point that I could no longer walk without the fear of falling. Two weeks after I stopped taking Lisinopril, the back and lower stomach problems went away and I can now walk 20 feet but still have problems with balance. I still can not walk ujp any stairs or lift my leg more than 1 inch. Never had this problem before I took Lisinopril. I have not been able to work now for 2 months.

I have been on Diovan 80 mg for 3 years and have experience a lot of symptoms listed above. 8 weeks ago I got very sick and had constant diarrhea (my stool looked like it had oil floating on the water) and lost 40 lbs. After numerous blood work, ultra sounds, ct scans, colonoscopy and many stool samples I found out thay my pancrease was not working properly. The doctor told me that diovan had caused the problem with my pancrease. I now have to take a medication not to help me digest food and they have changed my bp pills. I am hoping this will work because I have missed a lot of work in the last 8 weeks and they tell me where I got so weak it will take me months to recover from this. Anyone having stomach problems please consult your doctor to see if you are having troubles with your pancrease.

I'm 41, male, and have been taking Omeprazole for about a month now due to an H. Pylori infection that was also treated simultaneously with PrevPack and Sucralfate. A subsequent endoscopy found no ulcers, polyps or stomach problems; my entire GI tract down to my stomach is clear.

I was taking a single 20mg pill per day and had it upped by my doctor to twice a day, though it seems that twice a day is now worse for me. Foods that were fine with me on a single pill seem to give me problems with two pills.

Now that I am on Omeprazole alone (taking no other meds) I have had strange sensations, both mentally and physically. My legs and arms get tingly, I have sharp pains across my chest (as if I am doing a heavy bench press and my muscles are being pulled), my heart rate will speed up, especially if I am laying down, and occasionally I suffer bouts of all-over body aches which feel almost like growing pains.

Mentally I am feeling depressed, anxious and on one bad night I felt oblivious to the world, as if I could walk off a cliff and it would be no big deal; scared the crap out of me. Often I have trouble getting motivated to do anything and find that my only way to get around it is to try and absorb myself in a book. Any other chore or project I try, I start but just can't seem to finish; my mind wanders.

I thought this might be connected to angst about dealing with the pain and circumstance of the infection, but previous to my H. Pylori I had another physical trauma that caused me trouble and I had no mental side effects; I was dealing with it and understanding it as a result of getting older and my body doing what every body does as it ages.

Is it Omeprazole? I suppose I can't really say for sure but reading this and other forums I am under the impression that it is probably having side effects that are serious enough to cause concern. I could probably deal with most of the physical side effects but the mental ones are scary. I will stop using Omeprazole starting tomorrow and see how it goes, confining myself to foods which hopefully won't cause too much reaction and go from there.

Hi everyone, I had my mirena put in feb of 2008. Around June 2008 I started having dizzy spells, and headaches. Went to ENT and ruled out inner ear problems, went to neurologist and he said it could be migraines. I never had them before but have a family history. I have in the last couple months been having really bad dizzy spells and nausea, like 4-5 times a week. Has anyone else had any of these problems? Not sure if its the mirena or not, but have been to just about every doctor and no one can figure out why i have been so dizzy and nauseous> Any suggestions?????

i have been off Januvia for about 2.5 months. the joint problems I used to have seemed to have been gone. I am more alert now that I am not taking the drug. I am still having stomach problems big time. I hope they go away but don't seem to be wanting to go away. My stomach problems are so bad that my blood pressure shoots up very high 2 hours after eating and I feel my food is stuck right below the rib cage. I still get headaches. So beware that if you are stopping this medicine it seems that the side effects linger after a while. I took the drug for about 6 months
