Oh boy. So it started with this sentence in my obgyn's office "is there anything to help the EXTREME cramps i get every month?" to which he replied "oh yes there is the mirena" and it went on to ask him what it does. oh it sounded so wonderful! but....FAIL! my daughter is nine months old now so i guess i have had it for 8 months now. got it in right after my check up. I have lets see....i wrote these all down. Sex Drive..GONE. increased weight gain which is that i weigh more now then when i was pregnant and have changed everything and i keep GAINING more weight..cramps regularly there not bad but they are everyday. no energy i cant even do the dishes without getting tired. heartburn everyday, if my stomachs empty i have heartburn so it doesn't help me trying to lose weight! I have become more moody and when i say more i mean i have clinical bipolar disorder and it is HORRIBLE with my anger and depression and my always crying. I get pain in my joints and mostly my right leg goes numb (idk if thats mirena but it didn't happen till AFTER mirena happened). I have always had AMAZING skin...now i get acne all the time its unbelievable. i get dizzy and sometimes i cant even hold my daughter! and the migraines are the worst of all...no the worst is the no sex drive! All this and i was never told the cons in my doctors office! Isn't that against some code? Here is the topper on the cake. two weeks after i had mirena inserted my obgyn was asked to leave the practice and they refused to tell me why. Shady thats what that is.

I've been take omeprazole for 6 months now for the awful peptic ulcer I was diagnosed with. I take 20mg twice a day and all my symptoms have subsided for the most part. No more sour stomachs or sore throats in the morning and my acid reflux is tolerable. I noticed if I only took it once a day, I would still feel my awful stomach pains. So now, I have to take it twice a day which is fine with me as long as I don't have to deal with that nagging dull pain in my stomach from the ulcer.
As far as side effects go, I have not experienced any dizziness, headaches, or depression. It's all been a very positive experience so far and omeprazole is doing it's job!

I have been taking this medication for 6 days for a UTI. I feel like crap and haven't been able to work. Thank goodness I don't have hives or anything else. But my stomachs is cramping really bad and I have been acting like an evil $%#@&, I also have the worst stiff neck. Anyways I was extremely nauseated and felt like I was pregnant but I have a prescription for pot and it seems to help the majority of the side effects. Massive amounts of water will take away the anxiety. I am going to wean myself slowly starting tomorrow and I will never take this drug again.

emotionally i am doing much better,i am however having major troubles with my (ahem!) bowels! i seem to be going to the loo about 15 times a day,i think it is a recurrence of IBS but it is really throwing me off because i like to know i am not going to need the bathroom when i am out! this brings up my panic attack worry which in turn sets off my nervous stomach! i have not had these problems for about 12-13 years and i can only attribute it's return to all the problems i had while taking yasmin,i am taking various remedies to try and calm it down again, hopefully once the yasmin is out of my system and my anxiety levels are back to pre-yasmin levels my stomach problems will improve again..in the mean time if anyone has any advice on IBS or nervous stomachs i would love to hear from you!

i took yasmin for nine months. i quit taking it about 2 monthe ago. after all of the things i've been going through i never realized it was from the pill. i started having severe upret stomachs. Sever pain and severe embarressment!! i was diagnosed with irritable bowl movement!!! well for the past 2 months i have not had 1 upset stomach!!!!!!! and i was having then for nine monthe everyday!! (AT least once)
Then i was having severe shortness of breath. i had such chest pain and difficulty breathing that i had a chest x-ray and perscriptions and the works. nothing was found. My doctor ASSMUED it was Restrictive airway disease. it wasn't!!!
ALSO and what i think has affected my life the most is that i feel that my happiness had been drained. For months i have been on the vurge of crying all the time. my anxiety is horrible and for the fisrt time in my like i am having pannic attacks. when things get overwelming i just can't breath and i get dizzy. I have a beautiful 20 month old and a wonderful husband. I should not be forced to feel this way. I'm a stay at home mom and i don't even have motivation to clean, play anything. and when i do i break out in sweats and have a panic attack. i hope it ends. its been two months and still the same. ALSO i had two normal periods since i quit and now i'm 2 weeks late with my third. i've had horrible cramps and i thought i was pregnant but am not. Has anyone experienced that. i really hope this helps someone.

My son who will be 11 in 4 days has been on Advair 250 for his asthma since he was 6. He is always complaining that he doesn't feel well but since he has so many different symptoms that he is usuallly ignored. Everything from sore stomachs, sore arms, legs, back and headaches all the time. Also he has a few sores over his body and has had a few of them removed to see what they were but everything came back negative. The main thing we notice about him is his anger and how upset he gets over little things. My son is also on ventolin several times a week and singulair everyday.

I was on the "miracle birth control pill" Yasmin for three months, the typical amount of time you're to give a new bc pill. Anyone stating that they've been on it for 1 week, 2 weeks, etc. need to give it time to get into your system. Not saying it will be bad, but it takes awhile to get in there. Anyway, my side effects weren't that noticeable to me. But to my new boyfriend they were. And he pointed them out to me and researched the pill for me. And guess what? They're all side effects commonly known for with Yasmin. The no sex drive, the unbearable mood swings (I mean I was psycho!!), the bloatedness, the acne around the chin, the upset stomachs/diarrhea, headaches, etc. No, not every pill is for every woman, but I think they should of done a lot more research with this one. Granted I will give them the fact that the main reason I went on this pill was to stop my breakthrough bleeding. It did stop that, and only having my period for 2-3 days was pleasant. But not the rest!! And for those who think that this pill makes you lose weight, don't believe the hype. It's only been proven that you can lost ONE POUND being on this pill. Drink enough water and you can lose that normally!

There are actually two components of milk that one can be allergic to - the protein (casein) or the sugar (lactose). My daughter was allergic to the protein at birth, and we (pediatrician & I) knew it was the protein not the sugar, b/c mother's milk is super high in lactose, albeit human lactose and not cow but still is lactose. All babies born into the world have lactase to break down lactose in mother's milk. But some of us must have stopped producing lactase. Wanting my kid to be normal and eat Goldfish, mac 'n cheese as other kids, I tested my daughter at 12 months with Lactaid milk. Diarrhea right away, just like with infant formula. Same thing at 18 months, and at two, I tested her with cheese and organic whole milk. Again, diarrhea. HOWEVER, the only thing she can eat is RAW CHEESE. I would test her on raw milk too if it was legal in my state, but it's not. So my conclusion is this: those who cannot tolerate dairy products or Lactaid may be allergic to casein or milk protein as well. From what I've read, cow milk proteins are very hard to digest, not truly meant for human consumption as much as for cows and calves not only drink the milk raw from mama-cow replete with enzymes but they have four stomachs to help them digest the milk, proteins and sugar and all. This is why some of us have better luck with raw milk (even without 4 stomachs) and why many of us eventually have problems with commercially sold milk from the supermarket that's pasteurized even if we didn't always have problems with it.
