Hi all, I'm hoping someone here with Seroquel-experience can help us with some information. My wife has been on Seroquel for approximately 5 weeks (ramping up to 200mg per day during the first 10 days, approximately). After 4 weeks, the severe breathing problems started. Physicians have verified the oxygen level in her blood to be excellent, her lungs and heart are in perfect shape, she has no fever and no indication of bacteria-infections. All indications are that this is caused by the Seroquel. She explains the intense sensation as drowning, almost passing out while gasping for air. She's feeling very dizzy, probably due to breathing too much as a result. Occasionally her breathing is not so deep, but more like hyper-ventilation. The problem became unbearable (and my wife endures a lot) after approximately 1 week, so 5 weeks into the Seroquel scheme she quit cold-turkey two days ago. The breathing problems are still the same. We are hoping someone could tell us how much time these breathing problems can be expected to remain, as I've googled my eyes out without finding any information on this. A week? - Two weeks? -Even more? - please respond, and in advance, thank you for your help!

I was on both the sucker and the patch and this drug is great to take pain away BUT at what cost,I have lost all of my teeth ,I'v gained 80 pds ,I can't work now.because i can't face and talk to anyone face to face .because of all my teeth are gone.I was very depressed on that drug, I could'nt catch my breath sometimes,I really thought I was going to stop breathing ,I won't leave my house anymore ,I use to smile all the time and laugh ,That happyness is gone & so is my life.

Even though my MD told me to take two Ultracet before bed for my chronic neck and back pain, I only took one. I'm glad I only took one, because I had the hardest time breathing and my chest felt very constricted! I got kind of scared that I would pass out and stop breathing altogether. Eventually, my breathing improved and the pain subsided, however, it came back with a vengence along with nausea when I woke up the next morning. The next night, I took half a pill, but the effects were the same but slightly diminished. I've decided to leave Ultracet alone as I'm afraid that I'll stop breathing when I fall asleep.

I just started taking singulair, It has helped the post nasal drip, cough and allergies. But, I feel very anxious after taking it and shakey in my hands and legs. I noticed my legs are weak. I have a hard time falling asleep at night, my body feels jumpy when I start falling asleep and I stop breathing in my sleep. I have never done this before the medication. I also get a medicine head feeling. and concentration problems. I am glad my allergies are cleared up, but I am not sure if the side effects are worth it. If I can't sleep again tonight I Am getting off the medicine.

Started on 10mg of singulair almost 4yrs ago for chronic hives, never had asthma or allergies but after the hives disappeared my allergist kept me on singulair for my breathing. Lost almost 50 lbs at the gym and was breathing fine, running 1-5 mi a day, now if I stop taking singulair I feel tired, and feel tightness in my chest and throat, shallow breathing. Sometimes it feels like I could just stop breathing. Stopped for a week and a 1/2 but had to take again because of feelings described. Am going to try and take every 2-3 days and then try and wean myself off entirely. No nightmares, I usually don't remember dreams anyway.

i started taking singular 10 mg about three months ago. i have gained some weight and if i don't take it, it seems as if i am going to stop breathing. i also can't sleep at night but yet all day i am so tired no matter if i got 12 hours of sleep. i am very moody now, still layed back, but, things seem to piss me off much more. my tolorance is not that high anymore. i have noticed these changes in the matter of three months, that is a little pathetic to me.
