ive taken all three Vaccine for the Gardasil. Yes I'am losing my hair. I take beyond excellent good care of my hair, its my favorite body part, at 4"11 my hair reaches my bottom. I never dye, over heat, add chemicals, but since this shot my hair is no longer on my head, its in the shower drain. What am i too do? continue to let my hair fall out? its not growing back. Nioxin is expensive and my life is in risk if i don't take the shot.
Something should be done about this.

I'm a 20 year old underweight male and usually 165/100. Since it's been like this for a few years I decided to go to the doctor's, and was first given metoprolol. After 2 weeks I couldn't handle its HORRIBLE side effects and was switched to 10mg lisinopril. Its been a month now and the only side effects I'm experiencing are shortness of breath and muscle aches throughout my entire body. It feels like everybody else said--like you worked out way too much the day before, except EVERY day. I've never had muscle strains in my life and have already had two in my legs and one in my arm, but even lifting a heavy box that would normally be no problem feels like it will rip off my arms and break my lower back. I don't know how you people keep trying different drugs and failing, if the next drug isn't perfect for me without any side effects I'm giving up and will just live happily ever after with high BP like I was before. Thanks for helping me figure out where these muscle aches are likely coming from!

I was so glad to find this website. I was feeling terrible after having the Mirena in for around a year. I started looking online when I woke up several days in a row feeling so bad and nauseous that I was worried I was pregnant!

I was very fatigued, achy, having trouble sleeping, having strange acne breakouts on weird parts of my body, terrible abdominal cramps - yet no period, bowel problems, VERY slow to heal my sports strains/sprains, nauseous, random headaches (and I have NEVER been prone to headaches), odor, crotch drop, hair loss, forgetfulness, BAD mood swings/depression, dehydration. I looked and felt like I had aged 10 years...All this time I was blaming it on having a two kids, getting older, stress, etc.

Well, thanks to this site, I had my Mirena removed last week. I had no ill side effects from the removal and had a normal period for the first time in about 6 months. I felt incredibly better in a few days! I have more energy, I have slept much more soundly - the dark circles around my eyes are diminishing and I look much better. My routine bumps and bruises from soccer and taekwondo are healing at a normal pace and I don't feel achy all the time. Basically I feel great, and I hadn't for a long time. I feel like myself again.

If you have ANY of these symptoms that everyone is talking about...don't write it off to anything else, and don't let your doctor tell you it's due to other things. You know your body and what is normal. If you are wondering at all why you feel bad - get the thing OUT and do it NOW! (My GYN was very understanding and compliant to my request, but still insisted that my symptoms were most likely due to stress than anything else). At least you will have peace-of-mind knowing that you eliminated the IUD as a cause of your symptoms. You can always have a new one put in if you find that not to be the case.

I hope this site is correct regarding the class action lawsuit, because I am seriously considering joining it. Mom's have it hard enough without this IUD complicating their lives further!

I saw an elderly ENT who prescribed Biaxin XL 1000mg/once per day for a severe sinus infection of the ethmoid, maxillay and frontal sinuses. I was not getting any better, in fact I was getting worse. I decided to go for a second opinion and learned that Biaxin is not as wide spectrum of an antibiotic as Augmentin is for sinus infections. The key strains of bacteria are not being obliterated from the Biaxin. MDs who prescribe Biaxin are not staying on top of current literature as Biaxin was commonly prescribed in the 1980s and 1990s.

My incredible side effects to Biaxin XL (including not wiping out the bacteria) include: lingering bad bitter taste, night sweats, insomnia, extreme stomach cramping, constant stomach churning (which kept me up at night), terrible diarrhea, nausea. The only plus side is that was more mentally alert.

If your doctor prescribes Biaxin for sinusitis, leave that doctor immediately and seek help from another practitioner who is more current on medications of choice for treatment.

I had a viral infection and was put on Levaquin 750 mg. After being on it for 5 days my joints began to hurt. I didn't think the medicine caused it and I continued to take it. Until the 7th day I began to research and found this web site. I quit taking it. I was unable to stoop down and it hurt really bad to walk up or down stairs. Regular walking was some painful. I also had some pain in my wrist. I've been off the medicine for 6 or 7 weeks and I'm still having bad joint pain in my knees. I'm unable to perform normal activities. I'm not saying Levaquin caused it; but it's just that when this started was while on it. If anyone knows how long this might last or if it causes permanent damage, please let me know! I will be going to a specialist in 1 week to get this checked.

My 16 year old son took Levaquin 6 months ago and had a bad reaction to it. His symptoms were severe muscle weakness (he would get exhausted walking from the parking lot to a store and back, severe joint pain (in thumbs, wrists, elbows, knees, and ankles), dizziness (he felt like the room was moving away from him and would lose balance), and headaches (a severe pressure in the back of his head that was constant and then shooting pains in his his head that would come and go for no reason). I should say he was in top shape before this and wrestling in the 125 pound category. He took Levaquin to prevent an infection after sinus surgery.

Now 6 months later, his joint pain is completely gone except for his knees. They still hurt when he does squats and they are not good enough for him to go back to wrestling, but he can walk around pain free. His dizziness is also gone as well as his muscle weakness. His headaches are still there and still constant, but not as bad as they once were; however, he has had them 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for 6 months. He is on Lyrica which has helped make the headaches subside.

I have taken him to more than 16 medical doctors of all specialties, had multiple MRIs, CT Scans, blood tests, spinal tap, and an MRA. All come back negative. Thankfully, despite all of this, he still remains happy and positive that he will once again be 100% healthy; it will take lots of time, but he will get better. I know the first three symptoms (joint pain, dizziness, weakness) are clearly Levaquin related, but I haven't heard much about the headaches from people. Anyone else out there that has suffered from a constant headache after Levaquin? I REALLY want to hear about headaches from others!!!!

By the way, we have filed a medwatch already. I also know that Levaquin is not approved for anyone under 18 years old and he never needed such a powerful drug to prevent an infection, but there is nothing I can do about that now except to warn others. One of his UCLA doctors wants to write a case study on him to make this more known to others and I am helping him with that.

If anyone has questions, please feel free to ask. If you have had a headache from Levaquin, please let me know where in the head the pain was, if it is constant, what it feels like (pressure, shooting, throbbing), how long you have had it, and what, if anything, helped. THANKS.

I have been on Yasmin for about 6 months now. I have had a vaginal infection for about 3 months now. I have been given antibiotics in pill form twice along with vaginal inserts twice. My culture came back negative for yeast and for bacterial vaginosis. My gynocologist said that only certain strains of BV are tested for, so I had to have another culture done. I am currently waiting for the results. My symptoms are heavier discharge, light itching once in a while, and my discharge has a slight smell to it. Nothing foul or offensive like bacterial vagisnosis, but it is no longer odorless. Anyone else experience anything like this on Yasmin? I'm wondering if the change in discharge is just from the pill and not an infection. After finding this site, I am definetly asking to switch birth control pills when my doc calls with my results. I have Polycystic Ovary syndrome, so I have to stay on the pill. Anyone have any recommendations for a new pill?

I have had many different reactions from this drug. I was given the prescription for osteomylitis from a compound toe fracture. I had 2 infection strains and after the Augmentin only cured one strain, this drug was a last resort to kill the other strain. It works, but I am getting boils in the genital areas, having abdominal cramps, extreme joint pain and weakness even after 2 weeks of being cured. My alimentary canal will be in pain much like mild cholitis for months but the toe appears to be saved, and that is definitely a miracle in itself. I am a 7 day a week exerciser, and my life has been altered emotionally and physically after taking this nasty drug. I recomend not using this for any reason.

I have been using Seretide (Advair) for around 6 months and like a lot of you thought the drug was wonderful with how it was controlling my Asthma. I am usually a fit and well person but over the last couple of weeks have been feeling so tired and lethargic, even the smallest task wiping me out. I thought nothing of it really, just stresses and strains of modern life. Then I started to get frequent palpitations and every time I fell asleep my heart would miss a beat and I would wake up. This would last a couple of hours and obviously over a matter of weeks I was getting more and more exhausted. I talked to my Doctor and she said that Seretide could cause abnormal heart rythyms, and along with the frequent oral thrush and dry mouth I have decided to give up on Seretide, hope it hasn't done any long term damage and resolve to using my salbutamol more often. It was great to find this site and discover that these side effects are not uncommon amongst others.
