I have used NuvaRing for just about 4 years and for the most part it's been a positive experience. I love not having to remember to take a pill everyday, and my period is lighter and regular.

I have gained quite a bit of weight, but (1) I expected this when I started B/C again and (2) I have to admit my activity level is down and I don't watch what I eat as well as I should.

Also, I have never had a problem in the sun before. I've hardly ever even burned. It didn't occur to me until the SECOND time I got a rash sun poisoning when on a beach vacation that it was due to the NR.

I started taking Yasmin about July of 2007.. i got married in sept of 07 and went on a honeymoon. i thought i was getting bit by weird bugs cuz i noticed insect bite looking things on my legs. up until that point, i thought nothing of it cuz it didn't really itch or bothered me that much.. although the bumps would NOT go away!! around end of November 2007 the itching started and it was so bad to the point that i had scratch marks all over my legs and i would find blood on my bed sheets (from the unconscious scratching i did in my sleep). i would always cry at night cuz it was driving me crazy and it kept me awake almost all through the night. i went to a dermatologist and he just gave me some anti itch cream which did NOT help me AT ALL! so i went back and he did a biopsy and the result came out to be "hypersensitivity to medication" I don't have any allergies against any drugs and the only new medication i can think of that I've been on since then is Yasmin. he prescribed me more medicine (Prednisone) which helped with the itching. he only prescribed 15 days worth cuz it's not good to take it for a prolonged period of time (contains steroids). now i have little itchy bumps all over my back, waist, neck, thighs, near my underarms, stomach, chest... pretty much every where except for my face. and i think it's a matter of time that it spreads to my face. i was told that it takes MINIMUM of 3 months for it to be completely out of your system. it's almost been 2 months since I've been off of it.. but i still show no signs of improvement. the itch still drives me crazy.. i still cant sleep at night.. and i just hope and pray that it'll be all over soon.. hopefully.

another symptom I've experienced was CONSTANT headache. it was to the point that i had to go in for an MRI. the results came back negative.. but when i stopped taking the pills.. no more constant headache.

Well, Ladies I've taken Yaz for almost three years and what I am now figuring out is it's makes me photosensitive. I get sun-poisoning! Even when it's only for a few minutes here and there. Also, has anyone noticed when they get in the sun your upper lip turns darker? That's the Yaz, too.

I dont know if this is a side affect from Advair or not, but since I have been on it, I cant go out in the sun for more than 10 minutes. I end up with a rash on my arms and face that look like sun poisoning and it itches really bad. I am now looking to see if there is anything else to let me know if Advair is the reason for this. This is my first summer on it and I think it will be my last. Also, I gained 10 pounds in one week, shortly after starting on it. I cant get rid of it either.

I have been taking Lefaquin for 10 days. I was not told of increased sensitivity to the sun. I went to the lake (North Mississippi) at 4 p.m. one afternoon and was outdoors for only 30 minutes with my dog. I had what appeared to be severe sun poisoning on my arms, face, and tops of my ears. I was outside today for less than 30 minutes and the blisters on my arms, ears, nose and neck have already appeared. Be extremely careful in the sun if you are taking this medicine!

I can't believe I am reading all these side effects. I only had one problem and I am not sure if it has anything to do with Levaquin. I was in the sun for a few hours and I burned my nose, arms and feet. I was the only one that had a problem with the sun that day. The sunburn was a little blistery so I thought it was some type of sun poisoning. I was OK in a few days. Other then that I had absolutely no side effects. I was on vacation in Italy at the time I took the medication so thankfully I was great. I only took 6 500mg tablets because my pharmacy short changed me one. Maybe it was a good thing.
