I first posted about 6 weeks ago when I began taking Topamax at 25mg a day. I'm now up to 100mg a day, 50mg am/pm and surprisingly it seems that most of my side effects have subsided. I have the tingling in my fingertips and feet now that I didn't have before, but it is rare and not something that keeps me from any normal activity. Sodas still taste flat but I've adjusted to that, beer is something that also tastes flat and that is rather disappointing. The only thing I've noticed is that I tend to have a slight headache most of the time that taking Advil will cure. I don't know if this is caused by the Topamax. When I do feel a migraine coming on, it seems to take days and never fully matriculates and I have to get a shot of Toradol. All in all, this is much better than the weekly migraines I was having.

Surprisingly i have been ok on this pill. i was on yasmin, then switched to yaz (which was the worst pill ever! i had my period for over 3 weeks on that pill). I've just started on Femcon, and it immediately stopped my breakthrough bleeding. the only side affect i think im experiencing is the headaches! i've been really stressed lately so i dont know if it has to do with that or the pill. also i have been REALLY tired a lot. i seem to wake up, do something then want to crawl back to bed for a few hours. anyone else get tired on this pill? other than that, the pill is actually working. now if we could just fix these headaches...

I have been taking the nuvaring for probably 4 years now. I had terrible side effects with the pill in terms of nasea and pms...the nuvaring elleviated these and I swore I would never try anything else. This past year, sex has been difficult, sometimes a little painful and sometimes a burning afterward...but i had thought perhaps it is just because I'm not having much sex and thought perhaps I wasn't having sex much because my husband and I are both stressed about work. People easily get under my skin but i'm not sure this is any different than my usual personality. This past week I actually had jury duty and lucky me, my period. It is rare to not go to my job and not have the nuvaring in. Surprisingly, I have seen a real difference in my mood and my desire...my husband even commented that I have been a lot of fun this week and that I really should get a new job. I'm beginning to think maybe I just need to get off the nuvaring. I just can't deal with a pill everyday and the side effects I have from that. Maybe it is time to give my system a break from hormones all together. I have been taking some kind of birth control for about 15 years now.

I started taking Lisinopril on 12/07/06 and my BP went down immediately from 140/90 to about 110/70. That night, I noticed the dry mouth. Then, I had the coughing that everyone talks about. I also had burning in the chest. I went off Lisinopril completely on 12/26/06. I still suffer from mild chest discomfort which worried me so I went and had an ECG and blood tests done. Results were negative. I hope that this chest discomfort goes away as I've read in a previous post that it takes some time for side effects to go away. Surprisingly, my BP has remained at about 125/80 even without the medication.

I was also unaware of any side effects when I recieved an injection of "steroids" for some scar tissue on my forehead. Within a week the scar and surrounding tissue started to atrophy. The plastic surgeon (who is a true idiot, though surprisingly board certified) suggested Radiesse injections, which she overinjected and charged ME for. She did not admit that it was the Kenalog that cause the atrophy in the first place. Almost a year later, the Radiesse has worn off and now I'm left with a dent in my forehead, it's just skin and bone. I don't know what to do anymore. Some doctors are butchers, and we have to live with the results. And because it was considered a cosmetic procedure, I have no recourse.

At the end of Aug. I was diagnosed with an upper respiratory infection, in time it went away. About a week later I found out I had mono and spent two weeks resting, and not being able to exercise at all. Yesterday was the official end of my mono, and I was glad because I should be feeling better, but I had been coughing a ridiculous amount, so once again I visited my doctor. I was told I managed to get an upper respiratory infection again and she decided to put me in BIAXIN XL 500 mg. Last night I had nightmares and woke-up an hour after falling asleep feeling fully rested, but paranoid about it being dark in my room , after this weird experience I managed to fall back asleep. I woke-up in the morning feeling very depressed, but figured it would go away and was just due to a nightmare I had. So I got ready for school, and the day just got worse, I was extremely irritable. Nothing went wrong, I was even giving some surprisingly good news, but was still very depressed. I got home and just literally had a nervous break down. I cried for about an hour straight and just could not stand anything in my life. It was the worst I have ever felt. I finally got it together, and decided to come online and check personal experiences because my doctor had told me it was impossible one dose could do this to me. But, others have gone through what I have just experienced and I have realized it must have been the medicine, because I am generally and very cheerful purpose. Needless to say I will not be finishing my prescribed dosages.

I thought it was me or my shoe heels, but for the past few months I've been getting awful foot and toe cramps almost daily. Thanks guys. Now I know it's the Maxide I've been taking. Surprisingly, I haven't taken the Maxide for the last two weeks and I haven't experience one cramp. Now I'm antsy about taking it again, but I'll lose weight if I do!! Thanks again!!

I took Zofran for nearly my entire pregnancy for severe vomiting, and it was the wonder drug. HOWEVER, I want to let everyone know that my son has a lot of health issues (i.e. severe reflux, asthma, hypotonia, oral motor issues) and I've met some other moms with children who have similar issues. Surprisingly, all of these moms took Zofran through their pregnancies as well, so my gut tells me there is a link.

I am taking zocor and prinival. My cholesteral number, bad

become tasteing like acid, tea tastes horrible, oily food
all tastes the same ... bad
A friend who is also on similar medications reports surprisingly same symptoms. CAN IT BE THE ZOCOR?

Ultracet is HORRIBLE. It didn't help my pain but I was CONFUSED all day, giddy, and trembling. My heart felt strange and I couldn't find my science classroom. The next day I had a surprisingly strong withdrawal' I had a terrible headache and was depressed. This drug cannot possibly be healthy.

I'm having serious side effects currently. The onset of the side effects began after taking Lamictal for over 2 months. I started slowly on 25 mg and gradually increased to 200. I felt a great improvement in Bipolar disorder-mood swings- at 100mg but was told that is not the theraputic dose, so we increased to 200mg.
I had no side effects until the rash began to appear. At first only on legs, then arms, then neck, then face...and surprisingly in private areas. Unbearable itching. Rash continued to rage even after a pack of steroids. Swelling became apparrent in face and entire body. Slight difficulty breathing. Went to the ER and received another dose of steroids intravenously. The rash continues to improve but is still extremely itch. The swelling improved for a couple of days but is back. Had one day of severe headache. It has been 14 days and today I am experiencing blurred vision in the left eye, and new swelling in the tongue.
I sit at home with an Epi Pen next to me waiting to hear back from the doctor.
All of this is so unfortunate because I felt more stable than I have in years while on the medication. I'm feeling very concerned about my continuing side effects. Don't know what to expect.
