OMG,
My husband thought I was cheating on him because I have NO sex drive and I've been so craby to him and our little girls. I had my IUD inserted June 1st 2009 and have been a crab ever since. I've considered getting on antidepressants but now I'm thinking that it might be the IUD. I've been getting horrible migraines lately and symptoms of pregnancy. A friend suggested it might be the IUD so I started looking online and found this today. WOW this just might save me. I'm going to talk to my husband and we can make a decision together if we think it should be removed. Thank you all so much for your posts. I wish I'd had a better experience with this because I love the no periods and the not having to remember to take a pill daily.

I have had my Mirena since 11/2008. I had it put in 2 months after my 2nd child was born. The insertion was easy and painless. I got a little crampy the first week and then after that all hell broke loose. I had a continuous non stop period from November 08 to June 09. I called my doctor several times and they put me on a hormone patch to try to stop the bleeding. It didn't work. I was told that the bleeding should stop by 6 months so I figured I would put up with it until then. 6 months approached and still bleeding, 7 months still bleeding, 8 months still bleeding. Finally at 9 months the bleeding stopped and I was thrilled. My excitement didn't last long. After one week of having no period and being excited I started developing what I thought was morning sickness. My breasts hurt, morning sickness (day and night), bloating, exhaustion, and so on. I thought for sure that I was pregnant. I made an appointment to see the doctor who informed me that my Mirena was still in place. She also did a urine pregnancy test and blood test, which both came back negative. She had no answers for why I was experiencing the symptoms. Now 3 weeks later, I still am having the side effects. My gut is telling me that it is a new side effect from the IUD. I believe that my body is now confused with the loss of a period and it is acting like I am pregnant. I have taken 6 pregnancy tests at home over the last several weeks, terrified that I am pregnant because of how I am feeling. I have had enough and called the doctor today to have it removed tomorrow. I am not going through the symptoms of pregnancy as my pregnancies were rough. I had morning sickness with both my children morning, noon and night the entire time and it was awful. I am definitely not going to put up with the feeling of being pregnant and all the nasty morning sickness feelings without the reward of an actual baby at the end. I would not recommend Mirena to anyone!

I cannot contribute - in the same way as other posters, I can add a side effect of getting of all birth control pills-- health. The pill seems to act by mimicking the first trimester symptoms of pregnancy in many ways - explains many of the symptoms. Can you imagine being 1st trimester-pregnant for years? I cannot understand why women will use un-natural, non-organic foreign substances in their bodies with possibly deadly side effects - yet swear by organic soy milk, veggies what have you -seems a bit schizophrenic. Better to wait for the man who would love you fully and not ask you to hurt yourself so he can use you for sex. We become just like the men here, this is so sad to me. Instead of being "liberated" we, (not the men) become slave to the pill. And then we don't get he freedom or the man. Try organic sex, in the ways God intended, much healthier.

I began taking Yasmin when I was 16 to regulate the irregularity and terrible mood swings I was going through. This was in 2004, when Yasmin was very new. I had terrible nausea for the first three months, but after that I was fine. I had clear, healthy skin, and my moods evened out. I was told that it was completely safe and that when I wanted to get off of it to become pregnant there would be no lasting problems. I was great for about two years, and then I began to experience many of the symptoms of pregnancy. I would have pain in my lower abdomen, as well as nausea, mood swings, breast tenderness, and even spotting prior to my period. I consulted with my doctor and she assured me that it was all normal. She explained that my being on birth control was like I was permanently in a state of early pregnancy. She also suspected that I might have ovarian cysts. As a solution to all these problems, she proposed that I try Yaz. So I did for about a year and a half. Then I started experiencing the same symptoms again. I contacted my doctor, and they suggested that the hormones in Yaz were not strong enough to prevent my ovarian cysts from forming. It was at this point that I decided that I should do some investigation of my own. My husband and I decided that I should discontinue all birth control and we would manage my mood problems through diet and behavior modification. I have done this successfully, however, I am just now returning to what I expect is my normal hormone levels. I wanted to get off of birth control because I had found that some women who had used the Depro-Provera shot have taken years to regain fertility, as well as the birth control patch. Because we were planning on having children in the next five years from 2008, we became worried. Since being off birth control (in 2007) it took me until December 2008 to begin having periods that were irregular - meaning that it took me about a year and a half to return to normal cycles. I would not recommend Yaz or Yasmin if you are looking to conceive within 2-3 years. All the side effects listed here are similar to what I experienced, but I think it is up to the individual to decide whether it is worth it. I am now 21 and have acne like I never did when I was a teenager. I think I am now going through adolescence when I should be over all that.

i love the internet. you can find so much on nuvaring effects it calms me down a bit.
im 21
so i started nuvaring on March 1st. sex a week later, and then the second week i started getting very sick, terrible nerves and stomach aches. i cried all the time so much that i was sent home from work almost everyday for 2 weeks. surprised i wasn't fired... goodness. i took the ring out the middle of the 3rd week it was in and debated using it again. i decided i would after reading all the other comments and reviews. i put the ring back in and all ive been experiencing this month are slight headaches and the brown discharge. the discharge freaked me out a little at first, but ive read that its normal and just your vagina cleansing due to the hormones? anyways. okay i haven't gotten my period yet and i took the ring out a few days ago. im a little worried, but i haven't shown any symptoms of pregnancy so i guess im okay. ive read it is also normal to be late or miss it while on it. i really like the nuvaring, but if it doesn't work out ill go on the pill. my love doesn't feel it during sex either. but he likes to play a little sometimes when he's fingering me.... silly boy. im also losing weight. ive lost 4 lbs since being on it. well i guess since i started having sex. haha. we don't use condoms during sex, just vaginal film sometimes. things have been great the past 3 weeks. im hoping this continues and no pregnancy occurs! hope this was helpful to others.
i recommend this to people under 180 lbs (due to it is more effective if under that weight) and as long as you can bear the terrible sickness for the first month you should be fine. take Vitamin B-complex, it helps to balance out the depression and stress. its like a natural anti-depressant. if you freak out a lot then use a second method when you are on it.

When I first started taking Alesse I did have nausea for about one week. That was the least of my problems.
I became such a basket case! I cried at everything (both happy and sad movies) and wanted to hurt anyone around me (including myself). I actually felt suicidal at times, even though I'd never ever seriously consider it. This was extreme depression, despite being happier than ever with my boyfriend. It was so confusing. I would burst into tears randomly...and on the last day of taking the pill, (only two days ago!) I burst into tears in public. It was very embarrassing!
I gained ~10lbs during the first month. My appetite had no end to it. I pretty much had all the symptoms of pregnancy, minus breast tenderness. My Dr. scared me and told me I needed a pregnancy test. Luckily, I'm not pregnant.
I developed these painful, red bumps on my shins. At first it looked like bruises, now the Dr. says it's from the pill (but he wouldn't tell me what it was). Now I'm worried about blood clots and the like. I've heard of other women having these symptoms. So, it's not just me.
Finally, I had a lot of trouble sleeping at night. I'd wake up randomly, feeling as though I was high on caffeine, and not be able to relax for ~30mins afterwards. By the time the alarm went off, I was exhausted. I just had mono this past year, and losing sleep weakens me even more now.
Not only is Alesse totally wrong for me, but I'm changing doctors. If you know your symptoms are from the pill, find another one. It's NOT worth ruining your life. Thankfully my boyfriend is understanding!

All these stories touch home. I recently lost my metal strings. My mate said he hasn't felt them for a while now. Men I sware wouldn't it be nice if they told us these things. I have extreme pain in my ovaries for the last two weeks, the pain is so bad it makes me ill. My mood has been fine however I do tend to cry easily. So I guess I am emotional. I like a dumb arz threw away all the papers the doctor gave me after he inserted the iud. I just wanted to forget about it because it hurt so bad. I am tired a lot more, I started taking diet pills to boost my energy and even they don't work. I am breast feeding only at night now because it drains me so much. After reading all of your comments I want this thing out of me. I am totally freaking out about the iud being lost in my uterus. I hope i'm not pregnant and miscarrying. The pain I fel resembles a miscarriage. I was have symptoms of pregnancy early on when I first got it put in. I'm so tired of bleeding and the embarrassing odor. I thought it was an infection but was to embarrassed to see the doctor about it. I guess it's another side effect. So we are the gunie pigs for this New IUD. Great.....
I'm calling kaiser Monday to have it taken out hopefully it doesn't hurt to much. Over the counter meds won't help that area of the body if they do have to dig around to find it. I am positive it is not in my cervix because I checked.
Ugh.....

Pregnant or not pregnant?
After reading the posts from women who have had negative experiences with mirena, it has helped me know I am not alone.
I had the mirena inserted three months after the birth of my second son at the end of 2006.
Everything "seemed" great. My periods were lighter, sometimes only spotting. And the mirena was preventing pregnancy which was why I had it inserted. I wanted a tubal, but my obgyn recommended mirena instead, saying she had it and it was great.
After over indulging at Christmas, I decided to do a bit of dieting right after. The number on the scale has gone down, but my belly size has increased significantly, and so have my boobs.
My period stopped completely in August or September. I was told this would happen, and I was glad not to get it. I'm not so sure now.
I have all of the signs and symptoms of pregnancy (I feel just like I did when I was pregnant with each of my sons). I can't get through the night without getting up to pee at least a couple of times. My boobs are sore and sensitive. I've had headaches. My lower back is killing me. I feel nauseous in the mornings. I'm ravenously hungry at times. I'm sooo tired. I feel little flutterings in my belly. My pre-existing stretch marks have stretched even more and are itchy as heck.
Two hpt's have shown negative results. I'm making an appointment today to see my gp and find out what's going on.
I used to be nicer than nice and noticed after the birth of my second son I lost a lot of my niceness. At first I thought it was post partum, and when my nasty spells continued, I chalked it up to having two little ones to keep up with and being tired and all. I NEVER tied it in with mirena. Now I see my moodiness is possibly related to it.
I had commented to my husband one day before Christmas that I was feeling really bitchy, and he commented, "you're always bitchy". His comment shocked me. He told me I'm mean. This so does not describe the person I used to be. I want the old me back. This isn't fair to me, my husband or my boys.
Also, since giving birth to my second son, I have had body aches like you would not believe. When I get up in the mornings or after having sat for a spell, my body (feet, legs, back, arms - everything) hurts. Once I've limbered up, I'm okay until the next time I sit or lie down. Again, I never tied this in with mirena.
If I'm pregnant, mirena didn't do its job, so I'll have it removed and after the baby is born, either have a tubal like I had originally wanted, or convince my husband to get a vasectomy.
If I'm not pregnant, I will still have the mirena removed, because these are side effects I can do without and I want my life back.

For me having the Mirena removed just last Thursday was the right decision. I was not using it for birth control but as hormone therapy for heavy, crampy periods. I had it inserted in July 2008 and bled every single day for the entire time, I had it removed last week and now I am bleeding very heavily but hopefully that will stop once all those hormones are out of my body.
While on Mirena I lost all sex drive, I became severely anemic and with that fatigued terribly, and moody, crying at nothing and screaming at my kids or husband for stupid reasons, I felt bloated and gassy and didn't have those problems before.
I am 42 years old and I hate my heavy bleeding in fact I want a hysterectomy, but not sure now what I will do.
For those of you who had the Mirena removed, how long did it take to stop bleeding afterwards? This is draining every last ounce of energy for me and I am taking iron supplements.
What sucks is the cost of this, Even with insurance I ended up paying a lot out of pocket to get this thing and then all the Dr. visits due to bleeding and side affects in the 4 months it was in and now the removal of it. I am wondering if there is any way that we can get a Class action lawsuit against Bayer for this horrible thing they are trying to sell to women.
I know there are some out there who have not suffered all these horrible side effects at least not yet or that they are aware of, but I truly believe that there is nothing good about this IUD and those of us and there are a lot of us who have suffered with this should be reimbursed or compensated for the pain and loss of parts of our lives and expenses with this. Does anyone else have any thoughts on this?

I started Nuvaring on July 6th 2008. I had the usual first-month side effects such as break through bleeding, etc. The second month went fine.....or so I thought. I didn't see it right away but my boyfriend did. I became depressed, moody, and withdrawn. I would cry and become emotional over nothing and was unable to show any enthusiasm for anything. He thought that I was no longer interested in him, or us. He brought it to my attention and it was then that I clued-in to the way I had been feeling. I immediately removed the ring. Withing a few days I felt like myself again.
The next problem I had with NR is it's withdrawal symptoms. I am a week late for my period and have had several symptoms of pregnancy. I know for a fact that I am not pregnant. After doing research on-line, I have learned that this is a very common problem, for women who opt to stop NR. This isn't something that is mentioned in the drug information that comes with NR.

I am 44, have had an endometrial ablation surgery to try to put a stop to heavy, ridiculous, debilitating periods (I also have a tipped uterus...) and had very intermittent periods for a couple of years after surgery. Now they're back on a 28 day cycle and I reluctantly went back on birth control. Since on nuvaring two weeks I've had a heavy discharge, low back pain-- and the worst of it is breast tenderness, moodiness and tiredness that mimic the symptoms of pregnancy. I, like many contributors here, feel like condoms and spermicides are a better option. My GYN whom I trust a great deal is a big fan of NuvaRing

I'm concerned that shorter period means no period. Has anyone been experiencing "missed" periods instead of shorter, lighter periods instead since taking Loestrin 24 Fe? I haven't had a period since I started taking the Loestrin 24 Fe, but I am not pregnant and my Dr. says it's normal. Has anyone else heard it's normal?

I'm on my 2nd month of taking Femcon. The first week starting it, I had heart flutters and anxiety, then coinciding with depression and mood swings. I was patient though and all of that subsided. Throughout this entire time, I've had occassional nausea in the first few hours after I wake, but no vomiting. My ankles have been continuously swollen since on it, and I'm generally just bloated, I have to take a water pill to relieve some of it. My breasts have been tender, off and on, since I started taking it.
By the end of the 1st pack, I figured I was ok, I had my last period just a little over a week ago. A week after my cycle had ended, I started spotting, and now in the past 24 hrs I'm heavily bleeding, I'm actually concerned. I'm passing clots, bleeding heavily, having moderate to severe cramps in my lower back area. I'm currently trying to reach my doctor and hoping they'll call me back, since I've had 2 miscarriages in the past, I'm showing signs of a possible miscarriage, but I've been told that the pill will give you symptoms of pregnancy, so I don't know. Any advice on what to do? I believe I will see if the doctor will put me on Estrostep, I took that about 7 years ago and had no problems with it, but the doctor felt that Femcon is more effective against pregnancy. Anyone know what could be happening with me?

I've been on the pill for almost two weeks now, the first week I had no symptoms then on Monday I started bleeding and have been bleeding ever since. I hope the symptoms go away soon because I don't know how much longer I can take the bleeding espically since I just had my period less than two weeks ago.

hey.. this isnt really a side effect more like a search for some answers. my girlfriend has been taking yasmin for 2months now.. and we have been having unprotected sex for those to months.. 2 weeks ago she had light bleeding for about 4 days, which she thinks could have been her period. but apparently she was early. and it is also apparent that yasmin does cause some mild bleeding between periods. so she assumes it could also be that because usually she suffers from bad period pain and during those 4 days she had none. she is due for her period today but hasn't gotten it. she is suffering from nausea, the degree varies but she says she has it the whole day. her feet have swollen a bit. shes moody and irritable. in short she has gotten all the symptoms of early pregnancy except tender breasts and the missed period. i know the pill isn't 100% effective. whats bothering me is that these early symptoms of pregnancy are also side effects of yasmin (checked on their site at the list of side effects as well as reading up on forums such as this one) and we are now unsure if she is pregnant or not. we are just waiting to see if she gets her period within the next few days and before doing a test. has anyone else experienced this while on yasmin? is this common? im really worried about her, shes not doing to good. has been feeling like this for 3days now. if anyone can give me any feed back it would be greatly appreciated

Hi I am actually on my third pack of pills and I was hoping the side effects would go away. I had symptoms of pregnancy, which they are going away now. I still have the headaches, nausea, extreme tireness (for me, Iam very active), decrease in my libido, irritability, anger. I actually lost weight since I've been on it. I don't know if I should give it another month, as see what happens, people have told me that the first 3 months are the worse, just like pregnancy.
Thanks.

Post your symptoms since stopping Yasmin!!!
Hey everyone it's Kay21 here and I just wanted to post my 3 month off Yasmin update. Because stopping the pill is a hard decision, I figured we should all post are updates here to help/support those who are planning to stop or who have recently stopped Yasmin.
I have been off of Yasmin since April 17. As some of you already know, I was experiencing horrible side effects while on Yasmin for 3 years (particularly stomach problems, vaginal dryness, muscle cramps, increased blood pressure and heart rate and anxiety).
The first 1 month off of Yasmin was okay. In fact, I felt the best I had ever felt in a while. My blood pressure and heart rate decreased and the migraines and muscle cramps went away. But when I hit the 2 month (8 week) mark, I felt HORRIBLE. I was severely depressed and anxious. I was crying all the time and felt a severe sense of DOOM! The physical symptoms also started to become problematic. The acne increased and I started growing more facial hair. The worse symptom, however, was that I started losing a ton of hair. I would lose stray hairs all day (probably about 200 a day). Since I have hit the three month mark, the hair loss has gotten MUCH WORSE! Now I am losing CLUMPS of hair all day. I have seen several doctors about this. Some say it's because of stress and a few (a derm, GYN and endo) say that hiar loss is common after stopping bcp. I have already loss about 1/3 of my hair.
I am also really concerned, because I have not had a period since April 22. So my doctor has put me on provera for 10 days to induce a period.
For those who have stopped Yasmin, what have your symptoms been (i.e. increased acne, weight gain, anxiety, etc.). Has anyone experienced hair loss? How long did it take to get a period???
Thanks...

I have been taking Yasmin for two months now. I was warned by a friend of mine that it turned her into an emotional basketcase so I asked my OB/GYN about possible side effects like hers. She told me the typical response that BCP's have different effects for everyone and then that Yasmin was the LEAST likely to have emotional side effects. Man was she wrong (at least about how it would affect me!). I've had most of the symptoms listed in other postings:
-I've turned into a total emotional nut
-a lot of weight gain
-constant fatigue
-headaches
-dizziness
-difficulty sleeping
-dehydration
-my period has been late
-and my breast size has rapidly increased.....which has now caused STRETCH MARKS to appear (has that happened to anyone else?)
I seriously thought I was pregnant because the side effects of Yasmin are almost the same as those initial symptoms of pregnancy. I never had the problems above (except for weight gain) with ortho cyclen. I think maybe I'll try the patch next, anything would be better than this

I DO NOT recommend Desogen!!! I started taking Desogen because it was cheaper through my university health center. I started off fine...then the second and third week I began getting extremely tense in my neck and shoulders, severe headaches, I had nausea for 2 weeks straight. My eating habits changed dramatically - I began to constantly think about food and get terrible cravings. I had no self-control when it came to food. Everytime I ate, even when I was extremely hungry, I became very bloated. I could have a couple bites of something about feel like I spent 3 hours at a buffet. My breasts increased in size and I gained weight due to the change in eating. My sex drive is low - my boyfriend and I used to have sex regularly but I have not had sex in 23 days - he's been keeping count :(. I am very emotional and depressed sometimes. During these two weeks, I have random pains in my abdomen that feel like cramps I would have during my period. I didn't have any kind of spotting or anything and it wasn't too heavy when I was on my period. I also have very loose stools - often diarea (sp?) then I'll take Immodium and get really constipated. I have almost all of the symptoms of pregnancy but there's no way I'm pregnant - it's this stupid birth control. I know that most medicines take 3 months to get right in the body but I stopped my second month. I couldn't handle it. I stopped last night - right before the start of the 3rd week. I feel amazingly better even the day after - I still feel bloated and stuff though. Don't take it unless you want to feel like you are sick 24/7.

Hi everyone. Well first off, I have been on Yasmin for about a week now. And I don't feel bad at all. When I was seventeen my gyno recomended that I go on the pill. My mother was not thrilled about that one (old fashioned), so I waited until I was eighteen. After looking over many options, because I do not need it as a contraceptive, I decided to let the doctor use his best judgement. I took two pills in one day in order to make my cycle go every fourth Sunday.
So far I feel fine. My appetite has dwindled down to nothing, and because I work full time, those cravings have subsided so much that I lost three pounds in two days. One thing that I encourage women to remember is that the pill is meant to fool your body into believing it is pregnant. Because of the "pregnancy mode," your ovaries will not release any eggs. This is very important because the whole morning sickness bit, and the cravings, and the decreased sex drive, and the dryness are all symptoms of pregnancy. Every woman's body is different, and some woman during pregnancy do feel numb emotionally and physically. So the pill basically is doing just that, making you feel pregnant.
A woman's body produces natural hormones called estrogen and progesterone. However, the bosy does not produce these hormones in consistant amounts, hence we get our period. Because of these fluctuations, eggs are releases, our breasts are occasionally tender, a pimple will pop up here and there, and we get a bit moody. The pill maintains these hormones at a constant level so hopefully this symptoms subside a bit. The week that you are on the white pills is basically just your body's natural chemistry taking over. So of course that week you would feel very normal and like your old self.
I hope that maybe this information will help some people who, by coming to this website, have become frightened. Yasmin is a pill prescribed mostly to teenage girls because the hormone progesterone used is a synthetic one and not real. This basically enables your body to safely come off the pill and go back to normal once the menstrual cycle is regulated. I have experienced minimal side effects, the ones I have noticed are the loss of appetite, and desire to drink a lot of water, which by the way is a good thing. By the way, because Yasmin is a diauretic, that means you lose water while taking it. When your body is lacking water (a good indication is if there is a hint of yellow in your urine, urine should be clear and copious), it tends to become oily. People who drink plenty of water while on this pill do lose the weight after about eight weeks and have beautiful skin. Water is an amazing thing when trying to clean up acne. Good Luck ladies, and e-mail me is you have any questions. AgapeAngel1120@aol.com

I have decided that never, ever again will I be on any 'hormone therapy' again, including birth control pills. I am now 32, and was having shortened periods that stopped after 1 day for the last 4 months (no wonder I felt nuts!) and had many symptoms of pregnancy but was not pregnant. I went to three different doctors, and the second one wanted me to get a D&C, saying it was 'standard' in my situation - however, I had a bad feeling about someone taking a scalpel to my reproductive organ walls (one of them), so I cancelled the surgery. Thankfully, the third doctor told me it would have been unnecessary, but after many ultrasounds (that revealed a thickened endometrial lining, which is normal before you start your period) I was put on Yasmin. I HATE these and all birth control pills (incl. shots, patch, whatever). First of all, they basically abort any egg that may have mated with sperm, which I have a bad feeling about. Second, they make me feel absolutely psychotic. I have had blurred vision (I kept ignoring it until I read the other posts here that validated that I was not imagining this!). I was walking up the steps to the house and had what felt like a heart attack or stroke - thank God it stopped but scared me so much. I have been much more depressed, with psychotic thoughts rampant, since taking this drug (tonight was only my fifth pill!). I have determined that it was completely normal for my hormones to be 'out of whack' due to stress - In the last 2 years I have been through a marriage, a divorce (I was abandoned in a new city by him), moved 8 times, had to give up almost everything I owned (including my pets), had a couple of bad 'rebound' relationships, financial problems, etc. Is it REALLY any wonder I felt unlike myself???? I have decided that I do not care what guys in the future say about them wanting me to get on these awful birth control pills - they can take them and see how THEY feel! It simply is not worth the risk of heart attacks, blood clots, stroke, etc., not to mention the other side effects like vomiting, nausea, dehydradation, etc. When I was married we used contraceptive gel, but in the future I will stick with natural methods or gels. It is just not worth it to take these - tonight will be my last night of these horrible pills.

6 MONTHS ON YASMIN. SINCE I STARTED YASMIN, MY BOOBS ARE A CUP SIZE BIGGER, THEY HURT A LOT MORE THAN BEFORE I WENT ON, LOOSING WAIT IS NO LONGER AS EASY FOR ME AS IT WAS, AND FOR 3 DAYS BEFORE MY PERIOD I FEEL SYMPTOMS OF PREGNANCY. I FEEL NAUSEA, MONO TYPE FATIGUE, AND DIZZINESS. I SAY EVERY MONTH I AM GOING TO DISCONTINUE USE AND EVERYONE TELLS ME GIVE IT 6 MONTH UNTIL YOUR BODY IS USED TO IT. THIS IS SOMETHING I COULD NEVER GET USED TO . I SWEAR THE ONLY GOOD THING ABOUT YAZMIN IS I ONLY GET MY PERIOD FOR 2 DAYS AND WITH MINIMAL CRAMPS. I SAY GO CONDOMS. THE PILL IS UNNATURAL AND MAKES YOU FEEL SICK ALL THE TIME. FOR ANYONE WHO'S ONLY CONCERN IS THE MOOD SWINGS. THEY GO AWAY AFTER YOU 4TH PACK. HOWEVER THE REST OF THE SYMPTOMS WILL STAY WITH YOU FOREVER LIKE LUGGAGE. BYE BYE YASMINE HELLO TROJANS.

I am on my 2nd mirena. the first one expired and was changed after being in for 4 years...not 5. with the first one, the only side effect was the acne. ive had the 2nd one in now for just over a year and im really considering having it removed because the past 8 weeks have been hell. while i have virtually no period, i also have no sex drive, and my cramps are horrendous. headaches, nauseousness, etc. 8 weeks ago, i had all of the symptoms of pregnancy witch came back negative thru a hpt and a blood test. also had symptoms of UTI, couldn't urinate and when i did it was very little, even had the pain in my lower back which led me to believe the UTI was bad. turns out after 3 cultures, i had no UTI, ive had a cat scan, mri and a scope up into my bladder, everything came back clear. symptoms disappeared, or so i thought. here i am again with all the same symptoms and its right around the normal time i would get my period. could this be a mirena side effect? lower back pain (not intolerable, more of a nucience *sp* ) my back feels like i rubbed BenGay or Icy hot on it. has anyone had these symptoms??? im going insane!!!!!
