Synthoid symptoms and conditions

AFter taking Levoxyl for almost 6 months, I suffered severe anxiety--couldn't sleep, cried all the time, at times couldn't leave the house and other times couldn't stand to be at home. I suggested to my dr. it was the Levoxyl, but he didn't agree. So I took myself off and finaly felt like my old self. Now my thyroid is low and they are wanting to put me on synthoid. Is it any better? I can't go through that again and Is there any natural thyroid medication I could try?

Ive been taking it a while now and so has my neighbor and Ive notiiced both of us are having trouble with relationships we didnt have before.
I thought this was supposed to help loose the excess weight from what Dr said . Im gaining!!!! Im ready to just throw in the towel on this and just buy over the counter diet pills
I lost 65 lbs with 2slim fast, 6fat burnners, and 6water pills.
a day and i meal at night and I didnt exercise!
Synthoid seems to do more harm then good to in my opininion.

I started taking synthoid about two years ago. The first day I took I I felt like I had something stuck in my throat most of the day. Over the past 2 years I've had problems with heartburn and have noticed a change in my voice like I have gravel in my throat. I've been able to determine I think it's the effects of heartburn and acid reflux on my voice and wonder if anyone else has had these problems.
My dosage currently is .088

I took 50mcg of Levoxyl for 6 days and stopped on Sunday due to side effects. I am a 56 year old female 5'4' and weigh 108lbs. My only hypothroid symptoms were dry skin and nail problems, minor depression and semi high cholesterol. Each day the side effects got worse until I felt like I had severe PMS and had just had 4 cups of strong coffee. Sunday night I only got about 3 hours of sleep even after taking an over the counter sleeping pill. I notified my DR. on Monday AM and told her I had to stop taking it. She said to stay off of it for at least 1 and maybe 2 weeks and then she would try me on Synthoid 25mcg.

For me, Levoxyl was an evil drug and I would not wish the way I felt on it on my worst enemy. I was at least glad to find this site and learn that others had the same problems. Otherwise I might have felt that I was going crazy.

I read that zocor can affect lab values in thryoid function test. I am not sure if it is the zocor but ever since I have been on zocor sinc this past november my TSH levels have gone as low as 0.02 and are now as high as 31.4
The doctor assured me it isn't the zocor just my thyroid acting up. We have decreased my dosage of synthoid. I have an appointment with him in a couple of days and I will bring this up. I was wondering does Lipitor have the same side affect on Thyroid functions as I read zocor does and how does it affect the thryoid? I feel fine other than slight constipation
