I received a Kenalog injection in December '06 to provide relief from an allergic reaction. My doctor did NOT inform me of any possible side effects other than drowsiness. Two months later a small dipple formed where the shot was given. I had no idea what it was and just assumed it was a part of getting older (I'm 30). When it began to get deeper, I became extremely worried. It has now been 6 months and the dimple has turned into a very large indentation. I still did not put two and two together and did not think it could have been caused by the steroid injuection. I visited my doctor, the same one who administered the shot in December, to find out what this could possibly be. He said he had no idea!! And even suggested it could be cancer!!!! I came home upset, obviously, thinking I was very sick, possibly even dying!! My sister did some research and found this site, and I am so relieved. But now I am angry at my doctor for not warning me of this possible side effect at the time of the shot AND then diagnosing it as a possible cancer!!! So now I am left with this deformity on my butt and a profound feeling of helplessness. Someone please tell me actions you have taken that have worked, both legally and physically. Will this go away?!?

My husband was the one put on Levaquin for a chronic infection to his testes and prostate (that incidentally was not taken care the 4 years that he was incarcerated). He was started out on a 8 day supply of 750mg and then cut down to a 30 day supply of 500mg. He has experienced loss of feeling to both hands and feet, severe knee pain, hallucinations, nightmares of the worst kind when he did sleep (which was very rarely) and experienced temporarty total blindness for about 5 hours, at which time his vision slowly returned but was blurry around the edges. He was physically worn out. The medication was stopped after he experienced the blindness. He is doing better but continues to have numbness and tingling in his hands.

I'm a 56 year old female. I've been on Lisinopril 40 MG for about 4 years. Since starting it I've added zoloft 50Mg for depression and HydrochLorothiazide for swelling. I walk about 8 miles a week. I've put on 40lbs, have lost all sexual interest, have continual bouts dizziness and have had terrible post nasal drip that causes such coughing it wakes me from sleep. My doctors have not checked my liver or kidneys to my knowledge. We live in such a small isolated community that there are few Doctors and only one clinic that takes my medical. It has taken care of my hypertention.

I've been taking Aciphex for a couple of years now. It has taken care of my heartburn very well. However, for some time now I've experienced difficulty breathing when I lie down along with a cold tingling sensation in my feet that at times is almost unbearable. My Doctor can't tell me why. A friend mentioned that she has just received a prescription for aciphex and read that these are some of the soide effects. Can anyone expound on this?

I had a sudden increase in BP that I associated with situational stress. I'm a smoker not having much success with quitting. Been on Lisinopril for 2 weeks now and am experiencing the fatigue and lightheadedness and mild nausea. I am also experiencing what seems to be nodules in my throat which are spooking me a bit. Thoughts go to throat cancer but my mind runs away with me. Am taken care of by VA doctor but don't think his concern is thourough. 5mg of lisinopril daily. Where are the positive effects?

I had posted here a couple weeks ago and have jsut read through some of the posts since then.

Suffice to say I am on month 3 of Yasmin and for the past 2 days I am in FULL BLOWN panic attack. I have not been able to talk myself out of it much and as a result I have not eaten since Tuesday night. I am barely holding water down. My heart has been racing too. I have noticed slight symptoms getting worse and worse with each cycle and I am so done with these pills. Honestly I am done with any bcp. I have tried to get my dh to get 'taken care of' and he won't consider it. He has no concept of emotions like I am having; like most men I guess. He just thinks I need a hobby or something....yeah whatever.

I am stopping this pill today and I have a call into my RE/GYN's office now. I have tried several bcp's over my life (I am 35) and they have all given me some sort of bad side effect. I have tried low dose, I've tried high dose and inbetween and they all end up bad for me. I have PCOS so my RE is pretty adiment about me staying on a bcp regimen but my quality of life with my kids from day to day means a lot to me. They're 4 & 1 and need a mom that is happy, energetic and not this puddle of fear and misery.

It also irritates me that doctors play dumb to the correltation of symptoms from bcps; it's like we don't know what we're talking about yet we LIVE it every minute of every day. I feel crazy enough right now and I don't need a doctor telling me I am because his medical book says it can't be the bcps.

I became addicted to this med. It's easy to get dependent on it, both psychologically and physically, is what I found.

Would take it while at work, to "reduce stress" but had total loss of memory while using it. Not good, if you are a nurse and can't remember whether or not you've taken care of something.
I hope to NEVER use this med again, especially since I drank with it, all the time.
Am now in AA and don't use mood altering chemicals. Thank God.
My sister is now hooked on Alprazolam and won't hear my warnings about it. I wish they'd take it off the market.

My husband has C.O.P.D. and Had Cancer of the upper lung.
So , his Doctor has given it to help him now and then.
This summer he has had number of problems since June,
so Doctor put him on Prednisone. we got all problems taken care of but now he is having a very hard time being off the Prednisone. Our Do. never said that it would be hard to get off of. Our Dr. said that it would take about two week for him to feel better. I wish that we had know that back three months ago. He was on 30mg then slowly went down to 10mg. Today he is back on 5mg. 8/23/05

I've taken Celexa on and off 3 times, 6-8 mo. ea. and each time I get a little nervious and shaky fo the first 4 hours or so then it's fine. I feel great after about a week. Depression/ dark periods are definiatly taken care of. Sex drive has not changed, perhaps only gotten better. Orgasm is definately more difficult to achieve, but I don't find it a problem...if anything, it's a plus. I alway can stop w/ no problem when I think things are in order.

I started taking prednisone 16 days ago for systemic poison oak. I should never have started. It made me feel awful in many ways and I couldn't wait to decrease my dosage and be finished with it. Today was the last day. And then I again started having "really bad heartburn" like I'd been having since I started it...but then the "heartburn" changed and I realized I was having severe chest pains. I ended up fainting once and almost fainting again on the way out to the car to emergency with my husband and son's help. During the short car ride I thought I could be having a heart attack...it was very scary. My fingers and toes started tingling and then vibrating strongly. I didn't know what was happening. They got me to emergency where I felt taken care of almost immediately. They were almost certain I was in fact having a reaction to the prednisone. They see this quite a bit! They took all sorts of tests to make sure it wasn't my heart, etc and they started me on an anti- anxiety IV which started helping fairly soon. They sent me home with more of this medication in case I start feeling bad again in the next few days. Hopefully this will be the end of it....and I know I will NEVER go on prednisone again in my life!

I don't know if this is a "for sure thing", but I took levaqin-200 mg in october for sinus infection. The end of October I started experiening severe diharria. This has been going on for a month and I got sicker and sicker. Was talking to Dr. all that time and taking anti-diharrial drugs. Did not help. can't eat anything and getting weak. They now have taken several tests because the dr. realized that I had been on levaquin shortly before this started. I hope to God this can be taken care of. Has anyone else had this side effect.

I only got a headache the first couple of times I took it. I have discs pressing on nerves in my lower back, bad enough that I can't function. Ultracet has given me pain free days. I've just had surgery on my elbow, and Ultracet has taken care of the pain. This is the FIRST pain med that hasn't made me sick to my stomach, and I've tried lots! The 'five days' max to take them worries me, but I can't be without the ultracet. This is great stuff!
