I starting Yasmin when my daughter was a few months old, my doctor told me it would be good for me to take since I have PCOS. I started having anxiety, leg cramps, and shortness of breath to a point that I wound up at the doctor and ER a lot, not knowing what was wrong with me. However I did lose like 100lbs on it getting down to 130lbs. Since I quit I have gained 25lbs back, however I don't feel like I'm gonna DIE! This pill is the wonder pill!!!!

Ok, I am glad I found this site! I have been having constant breast pain. on only my right side on top of my breast and on the side near my arm pit. It is only the right breast/right side. I think it is my Mirena too, but I have had the thing over a year. I am so afraid of having/getting Breast Cancer. I am a 26 yr old mommy of two little boys 5 and 1, plus a 12 yr old stepson who lives with me and my hubby. I called the Dr. today to make an appointment to have my breast checked.

I didn't read every single post, but **Is anyone else having breast pain like I explained? Mine started about two months ago...(right after my last pap/physical). I am so nervous. I have gained so much weight. I am bigger now than right after I delivered my 17 month old. Its all in my stomach. I have no sex drive and my BOOB hurts!!!!!

please let me know if any one else is experiencing this.

I started on Yasmin about 3 years ago and about 4-6 months on it- I started experiencing ringing in my ears. The ringing started with just 6 hours at a time maybe every other month- very minor in the beginning. Gradually the ringing would last longer and would occur more frequently. I saw an ENT Dr., hearing tests, MRI, you name it... There was nothing that came up and then I started doing some investigating in trying to make connections with the pill and the ringing. The pamphlet that it came with said that you could experience a deficiency in Vitamin B, B12.. whatever. So, I thought that I could start taking the B Vitamin and perhaps that would help.. I haven't gone off of it yet, because this pill has been amazing for me.. I don't have mood swings, heavy periods, bad cramps on it.. I love it compared to Ortho and the generic.. I felt like I was going insane on those! I think I just need to get off Yasmin altogether because of this ringing in my ear.. I really am trying to search for some answers!! If anyone has experienced ringing in their ears with Yasmin and never had it before- please email me... My doctors say that there is no connection and if everything else is great with the pill to stay on it; they say I have Meniere's Disease.. Also, I started getting a rash on the front of both of my calf's.. nothing to serious.. they say that it shouldn't appeared right away, instead of half a year later.. I'm at a loss.. like I said this pill has been great...

Thank goodness its not just me! Of course i have been to other websites that do not make the MIRENA sound this severe, so i thought it was just me. I have never had any luck with any bc since having children. I have 3 kids and don't want any more. My doctor is a female and just raved about how wonderful the MIRENA is so decided to try it.....OH where to start. I had it inserted and bled heavy for 4 months straight! i called the doctor and basically said, hmmm well we can just remove it. I decided to give it more time. I had about 2 weeks off from a period but still spotted and then continued to have more periods. Every few days i would just start again... Then 8 months into it i had the most severe pain that bent me over in pain, i was sick in bed for 5 days when i decided it has to be the MIRENA so i called my doctor went in and had a vaginal ultrasound. Low and behold i had cysts on my ovaries. My doctor said that is associated with the MIRENA because you body cant sluff enough. My body had just sluffed for 7 months straight! So they passed on their own. Then here at 11 months into it i have the cysts again! I have miserable cramps for weeks on end and yes i finally bleed less, but the side effects are not worth it! This morning i woke up with severe back and chest pain that radiated into my jaw. i felt like i was having a heart attack. I'm 28 and in very good physical condition with no prior high blood pressure or medical conditions. This has gone on long enough. Monday i am making an appt. to get the MIRENA out! P.S. also mood swings. I have been short tempered and feel rage at times. I have never had that bad of a temper before this. My husband agrees. Also loss of sex drive almost completely.

I have posted my side effects, but i had forgotten one, and that is extreme thirstiness. Especially at night, omg...its brutal, but woould take that over the emotional problems i had been getting ANYDAY!
