I first started Lisinopril hctz about 3 years ago. Within the first day I had hives, a rash, itchy skin and RED RED face. Dr says it will go away. So I keep taking it. Fast forward a month and I start coughing, coughing at night so bad my husband can't sleep. It's so bad I feel like I'm choking and cough so much I am almost throwing up from the dryness and my throat being so constricted. During that time, I also start having some big whopping sinus pain and pressure. Felt like there was a tennis ball in my sinuses. Big time pain, headache. Dr says nothing wrong, just some allergies. I start taking Benadryl at night to sleep, to help with the itching, wheezing, coughing. It seems to help a bit. So I deal with all this. ALong with the coughing at times I am having trouble getting in air. Almost like I have to force it in. Not sure if it's my throat, sinuses or my chest. Next comes, some bass drum booming of my heart. I think it's so loud in my chest and my ears that others can hear it. This still happens on occasion. At times my legs feel like tree trunks or cement and I just don't have the energy to do anything. My hair started falling out in GOBS. I go to derm doctor, they say it's stress. It'll go away. Next I have kidney pain.... this goes on for a few months... come to find out I have a stone. But I never had any kidney problems before. Doctor's say it could be from the hctz and my kidneys having to work harder, but they were speculating. GP says keep taking Lisinopril hctz the benefits outweigh the side effects. I asked him if he has ever had a kidney stone he says no. I keep taking it. Leg cramps come next, bad cramps. I go to dr and he says it's my potassium, the hctz has depleted the potassium in my body and need to start on some big styrofoam potassium pills. All this goes on for almost two years. Fast forward to now. I'm still beat red in the face (and cannot handle the sun), coughing, sinuses full, itchy and bass drum beating (on occasion), heart flutters (on occasion).... four days ago I almost fainted because I was so dizzy within two hours of taking my pills in the morning. I am by no means able to sit on my butt and do nothing because of all these side effects. I have a farm to run, horses to feed and ride, hay to bale and put up, and I'm ready to get my body safe enough to start trying to get pregnant. I start doing research and find Lisinopril to be UNSAFE for a fetus. I start to think, well if it is unsafe for a fetus why is it safe for me? So then I googled side effects of Lisinopril and it brought me here. Thank God, I have a GP appointment tomorrow. I'm taking control back of my own body. I've had enough....

I received a shot of Demerol and Fennergin in my buttock when I went into labor more than 2 years ago. Approximately 2 months after receiving the shot, a small spot formed at the injection site. Over the years, the spot has rapidly grown. The spot is about the size of a tennis ball and there is another smaller spot underneath the big one that is the size of a quarter. I have noticed recently that the large spot is spreading. There is now an indented line forming from the large spot and going around my hip. I recently had a biopsy done and they confirmed that it is fat necrosis. I don't know what my doc. plans to do next. Some side effects I have had from this is loss of weight (15 lbs. in 2 months) and haywire periods (one every 2 weeks).

I also have this problem in my buttock after a shot of Demerol and Fennergin when I went into labor more than 2 years ago. I have had Kenalog shots since then in the same spot but the doc. contributes it to the first shot years ago. Like you said, there is nothing we can do to make this go away, only cosmetic surgery. I don't know what my doc. plans to do next. Do you know if there is any type of legal action that can take place considering that this has not severely f'd up my 'nice' ass!

I went to my family doctor for some mild allergy problems. He prescribed me a daily Claritin-D and suggested that I get a shot of kenalog seasonally (4 times a year). I allowed him to do the first shot, that was almost 9 months ago. I am not sure when the dimple at the top of my right cheek started, but it is now noticeable to me. After googling "butt indentation" and I came across this page. Fortunately I did not go back for the other 2 kenalog shots I was supposed to get, and I am sick to my stomach that this thing is permanent. My doctor has lost a patient due to the fact that I feel misinformed about the possible side effects of something he seems to prescribe so easily. I also, have lost a little pride in the fact that I used to be very proud of my ass and now even though most people will never notice it, I know it's there... :(

I am 18 years old and I've been on birth control since the age of 15. Why so young? I was raped shortly after my 15th birthday. I was on Estrostep for awhile and loved it, but I ran out and have yet to find more of it. I was then started on Ortho-Tricylen and had been on it for almost 2 years when I noticed something wasn't right. I went to the doctor and they sent me straight to the hospital after having an abnormal ultrasound. Long story short, I had a cyst on my right ovary the size of a tennis ball and my doctor diagnosed me with endometriosis phase 2. I was scheduled to have surgery that following morning. I was in so much pain that I was hoping this one surgery would fix it all. They had to remove my appendix and burn a lot of scar tissue and whatnot to fix me up. After surgery, my doctor told me that I was ate up pretty bad with endo, and that they didn't want to have to do a total hysterectomy on an 18 year old. I don't have any kids, but I have hopes to someday have a couple. He started me on Femcon Fe right away, saying that this would control my endo cell growth. I have been on it for almost 5 months now and it's the worst pill I've ever taken! I have all the side effects listed on the package. The worst of them are breast tenderness, heavy spotting, nausea, vomiting, headaches, acne, weight gain, and severe moodiness. I can't take this anymore! I missed two pills one weekend and ended up back in the hospital because I started gushing blood that looked like black water. I don't know what else to do, so I'm quitting them. I took my last one Wednesday. I will be returning to the doctor next week and seeing if I can get back on Estrostep. I want my body back! I really hope all of you out there on this pill read this and stop immediately!! It's not safe!

My daughter had her first Gardasil shot in June. She started to have severe pain on her right side. Doctor diagnosed bladder infection. After 3 days of antibiotics ended up in emergency room due to severe pain in her right side. They did a ct scan and found a tennis ball sized cyst on her ovary. They thought her pain was from the cyst so she ended up having surgery to remove it. While they were in there they found endometriosis. So now we are working on a treatment plan. They gave her a shot of Depo Provera. She got her period while on vacation and the pain was so severe that she ended up in the hospital again. Her pain is being caused by the endo and is so severe it is debilitating. She had regular pain before with her periods, never anything like this. Another problem she is having is severe pain on both of her hip bones. My daughter was a normal, healthy teenager before this now they want to suppress her periods until she is ready to have children. I can't help but think this is due to the Gardasil.

I received a Kenalog injection in December '06 to provide relief from an allergic reaction. My doctor did NOT inform me of any possible side effects other than drowsiness. Two months later a small dipple formed where the shot was given. I had no idea what it was and just assumed it was a part of getting older (I'm 30). When it began to get deeper, I became extremely worried. It has now been 6 months and the dimple has turned into a very large indentation. I still did not put two and two together and did not think it could have been caused by the steroid injuection. I visited my doctor, the same one who administered the shot in December, to find out what this could possibly be. He said he had no idea!! And even suggested it could be cancer!!!! I came home upset, obviously, thinking I was very sick, possibly even dying!! My sister did some research and found this site, and I am so relieved. But now I am angry at my doctor for not warning me of this possible side effect at the time of the shot AND then diagnosing it as a possible cancer!!! So now I am left with this deformity on my butt and a profound feeling of helplessness. Someone please tell me actions you have taken that have worked, both legally and physically. Will this go away?!?

I am 22 years old and due to deliver my second child in 3 more weeks. I was considering having the mirena iud device inserted after his birth but am now very fearful and hesitant after reading about all the negative side affects. Could I be less likely to experience these negative side affects due to my younger age? or am I just as susceptible to these negative side affects as you all were? Please respond because yalls opinion on this matter is highly valued and influential to me as I do not expect a doctor to relay the truth as yall would. Thank you!
