Test run symptoms and conditions

My daughter just turned 19 years old yesterday. She is a Christian and has kept herself pure and plans to until marriage. She attends a Christian University. She had her last gardisil shot in May. Since this shot she has been complaining of severe fatigue, dizziness and has had no menstrual cycle. My first thoughts were concerns that this was caused by the gardisil shot.She just saw a doctor at her University last week. All the test run were negative and the doctor wants to further test for osteoporosis and place her on birth control pills to regulate her periods. She does not want this.The doctor did not perform a pap smere due to her being a virgin.I have contacted our local doctor and was informed that there was no way to tell if any of her symptoms could be side affects of the gardisil shots she received. My husband decided to investigate the side affects of gardisil and came upon this web-site. I am just wandering if this should be legally investigated and how could someone find out if there are legal ratifications for this problem. I am just praying that these are temporary symptoms and my daughter will recover and be able to have a children after marriage. Please pray with me and I will for each of you as well.

Mirena...WOW who would have known, that trying to prevent pregnancy would hurt so bad. I have had Mirena for 2 years now after the birth of my second child. Started out okay, within 3 months, I would only spot during my cycle, and before long no spotting. I thought it was great. Then I noticed myself becoming tired, no energy, just thought i needed more sleep. It didn't matter if i slept 12 hours I was still tired throughout the day. Then I noticed my patience going out the window. Every little thing irritated me, I would get so upset over nothing. Before long I was yelling at my kids, getting mad at them like I would an adult over something. Everything would be okay one minute and the next minute I would want to rip someone's head off. There's been a couple of times after an episode where i'm sitting there thinking what the hell is happening to me. This isn't me.

Then I got online to start doing some research and low and behold I find websites that are covered up with comments just like mine. My husband had just about been at the end of his rope with me just thinking I was being a b**** for no reason. Now that he has seen everyone elses reviews he believes that this thing has something to do with it. I have been depressed, I have basically lost all weight from my second birth except for my stomach. I look like I am 3 - 4 months pregnant and it will not go down.
I've been to the doctor's office asking what's going on and having test run and it all comes back normal. Nurses see my stomach and look at me saying "are you sure your not pregnant, because that's not because you are fat".

I am finally taking the plung and having this removed. The only thing I will miss about this thing is not having a period at all and no cramping. My kids and my life is more important to me than having to go buy tampons and deal with a monthly period. I've done it before and survived, and I'm so ready to have my mind back. Your gut lets you know when your not yourself and mine has been telling me for a while that I'm not myself. If you have been ingnoring your gut feeling start acknowledging it, it's trying to tell you something.

Will post later and let you all know step by step what happened after having it removed and whether or not my stomach went down and if I have a better mood about life.

Just wondering....has anyone started a civil suit towards Mirena? There's enough testimonies here that someone needs to listen.

I am a 39 year old female who was prescribed Avelox on December 21, 2005. That date will stick in my mind forever because I nearly died that day. I finished eating dinner about 8:00 pm and took 1 pill of Avelox, within 20 minutes I was vomiting and had diarrhea and then developed what I can only describe is an internal burning sensation in the pit of my stomach and it spread outward through my body. It felt like my insides were being burned which cause me to start to sweat terribly (you could wring out my hair and clothes) then it felt like some one was sitting on my chest and I started having difficulty breathing. I went to the ER and by the time I got to the hospital I could no longer walk. After they wheeled me in the ER I lost consciousness for over 30 minutes and when I awoke I went into convulsions. I knew that it was the Avelox that did this to me and all of the ER staff acknowledged that as well. But over the last 2 years, the medical problems I have experienced all the docs say it can’t be from the Avelox (that’s out of your system by now) DON’T THINK SO ……………………..

Had all the medical test run – tested for arthritis, MS, MD, had an EMG for muscle weakness and I still felt horrible all the time. My husband was getting sick of me being sick all the time – my kids were worried all the time “What’s wrong with Mom?”. Actually it was my daughter’s Pediatrician who suggested I start eliminating food and maybe I will start feeling better. Well after some research I found out that Avelox is in the Fluoroquinolone family of antibiotics and that is the same family of antibiotics that is given to poultry. I love chicken and eat if all the time but I stopped eating all chicken and eggs and turkey and over 75% of my aches / pains and gastrointestinal ailments. That was over a year ago and I stay away from all chicken, things made with chicken, eggs and all products made with eggs (mayo, cole slaw, potato salad, cake, cookies, etc…). So if you are still suffering a lot of adverse reactions and are eating poultry and poultry by-products – you are re-ingesting antibiotics through the food you are consuming. Also, it seems the older I get, the more sensitive I have become to these antibiotics, where once I would just vomit and / or have diarrhea if I ate something that had eggs or chicken in it by accident but now within 24 hours after consumption all my muscles bunch up / knot / and/or tighten that if becomes very painful to walk.

My Doctor tells me that as long as I believe that’s what is causing my problems and I feel better because I don’t eat any of the foods that contain that antibiotic then keep doing what I am doing as long as it makes me feel better. I really don’t know why she doesn’t believe me but that’s her prerogative. Ever since I went through the anaphylactic shock when I took Avelox, I have a very hard time with my cognitive thinking skills and trying to verbalize my words. There are times I have to stop mid sentence and gather my thoughts because I lost my train of thought. This is coming from a person who used to do ad lib speeches to 400 people and also teach computer classes in a technical school, while conducting workshops to teach job readiness skills to the economically disadvantaged. I never before had trouble speaking but after my episode over 2 years ago – I do now.

I tell everyone DO NOT TAKE A QUINOLONE ANTIBIOTIC -- these are very dangerous drugs and should be banned by the FDA for regular use and to be used to treat infections in life or death situations NOT for sinus, ear, prostate infections when there are literally thousands of other antibiotics that could be used that are not as dangerous.

I take 7.5 mg. of warfarin daily, and have been for about 5 years. The biggest problem I have is dizziness, the inabilty to concentrate, vision, and waking up at night, everynight. I am a healthy 54 year old male, and have regular test run twice yearly.

I HAVE BEEN ON METADONE FOR ABOUT 7 MONTHS NOW AND I AM UP 150 MGS A DAY, I HAVE FIBROMYALGIA AND THE PAIN IS JUST TERRIBLE MOST OF THE TIME, WHEN I FIRST WENT ON THIS DRUG I THOUGHT THAT IT WAS THE PERFECT DRUG, IT TOOK ALL OF MY PAIN AWAY, IT WAS SOMEWHAT CHEAP, AND MY DOCTOR WOULD GIVE ME ENOUGH OF IT TO TAKE CARE OF MY PAIN. HOWEVER ...I WAS ALWAYS A SMALL WOMAN THE MOST THAT I EVER WEIGHED WAS 150 PONDS AND THAT WAS WHEN I WAS 9 MONTHS PREGNANT WITH MY CHILDREN, I USED TO HAVE TO MAKE MYSELF EAT TO TRY AND GAIN WEIGHT..AFTER BEING ON METHDONE FOR ABOUT A MONTH I STARTED TO NOTICE THAT I HAD INTENSE CRAVINGS FOR SWEETS THAT I COULD NOT DENY...IT WAS LIKE NEEDING A HIT OF HERION OR SOMETHING.. NOW THAT LITTLE GIRL THAT USED TO HAVE TO TRY TO GAIN WEIGHT AND WHOS NORMAL WEIGHT WAS 115 POUNDS IS UP TO 162 POUNDS AFTER JUST 7 MONTHS ON THIS DRUG, I AM ONLY EATING ONE MEAL A DAY AND JUST HAVING A FEW BITES OF SOMETHING AT BREAKFAST..THE MORE I TRY TO DIET THE MORE WEIGHT I GAIN...SOMEONE HELP!! IS THERE ANY THING AT ALL THAT I CAN DO .. I CAN SOMEWHAT DEAL WITH THE CONSTIPATION THAT IS NEVER GOING AWAY AND I CAN DEAL WITH THE SWEATS THAT ARE HORRIBLE - I CAN EVEN DEAL WITH THE SLEEPINESS AT INAPPROPRIATE TIMES BUT I CAN NOT DEAL WITH ALL OF THIS FAT..THIS IS MAKING ME EVEN MORE DEPRESSED AND SUICIDIAL THAN I EVER WAS BEFORE METHADONE....I REALLY AM THINKING ABOUT TRYING ANOTHER DRUG BUT THEY ALL JUST COST SO MUCH.....ANY ADVICE FOR ME ABOUT THE WEIGHT GAIN???

I can't believe what I'm reading. It's all finally starting to click for me.

I have been on Yasmin for a couple of years. And a couple of years ago, the panic attacks started. I finally got over those for the most part. They still come and go from time to time. However, over the last 6 months I have been suffering from horrible lower back pain, UTIs, constant sinus infections, etc.

I have had every kind of test run possible trying to figure out what it going on. After reading all your posts as well as doing some additional research it is frightening clear what is going on.

I have made an appointment with my doctor for Monday. I told her what I suspected and she was very open to discussing my suspision and even said "sounds like we might have found the problem".

I just started my period, so I'm not planning to purchase any more Yasmin. I need to get this out of my system. I just hope I don't experience worse effects trying to clear the drug from my system.

I have been on lipitor for five weeks and I've been trying to figure out during this time why I feel achey,sore mucles,stiffness in my joints(feet and hands especially)back ache, just a general overall achey condition. I've had every blood test run to see if I have any signs of arthritis and I don't. People including doctors have told me I probably have Fibromyalgia, so I've been looking for how to treat that, then I read all the side effects of liptor. I am stopping the lipitor today and hope this pain will all go away. I've been extremely healthy all my life (57)until this. STOP TAKING

Thrush, heart palpitations, my doctor sent me to a cardiologist. Had all kinds of test run to find no cause. I asked if it could be the advair and she said NO! I have been trying to lose weight and every pound that I lose is gained right back. Headaches almost everyday and I don't usually get headaches. I had an ear infection for the first time since childhood. took a month to clear up. I noticed to minor cuts take over a week to heal. Joint pain that doesn't respond to my normal care.
All this time, I thought that it was me. I am so glad I found this site. We print out and take to my doctor.
