Theses symptoms and conditions

I had my Mirena inserted on Aug 12, 2009. The insertion was very painful. I had taken 800 mg of ibuprofen before the procedure but it didn't touch the pain. I am 40 years old and have had two children naturally with no medication, I feel like I have a high pain tolerance. I had severe cramping and bleeding for about 24 hours. Luckily my husband came with me, I would not have been able to drive home. I have spotted or bleed ever since. I don't know when I'm having a period or just spotting. I have been passing chunks of what appears to be tissue????? I have an offensive odor. I have not noticed weight gain but I am bloated and my clothes are tighter. I am am very moody and get frustrated easily, no patience. I have a lack of energy and don't have much of a desire to do any of the things I love. I have frequent headaches......Now for my major complaints.....I have tingling leg sensation down my legs with a warming sensation, I get extremely nausea. I have had extreme crapping in my abdomen which goes around to my lower back. They tend to be more on my right side. Very comparable to labor pains but with no peaking just stays intense. My breast feel like I'm breast feeding again and hurt all the time. We no longer have sex because it hurts to bad, besides I bleed all the time and stink! Wow if that dosent take the desire away! At times I feel as if I have a UTI, I believe this all contributed to the Mirena. I too called my OB/GYN and he said theses are not side effects of the Mirena.whatever! It is coming out Oct 9, 2009 at 2:30 p.m. I wish I would have researched it more. Thanks for sharing your experiencing because I felt like I was just falling apart.

I took my first Loestrin 24 Fe pill last night when my period started. I am 19 and my gyno proscribed me this pill because he thought i should not just depend on condoms as my method of birth control. However after reading theses comments i am having second thoughts about taking them. I really don't want to get pregnant but i also don't want to go through all these side effects. What should i do? and if i do decide to stop taking it after the first pill, will it affect my cycle? someone please reply!!!!

My experience with levaquin has been a nightmare, n a few other drugs as well. It all began last year in August. Went on vacation came back with a bad kidney infection, strep, and bug bites. Doctor gave me lev. n within mins. I was feeling the drug it was awful. I was climbing out of my skin, anxiety I guess, could not sleep but an hr. mind was racing. next day the body pains began, headache, calf, muscles all over ached, not sure if i took another pill or not, but was sent to ER. That Dr. gave me Keflex 500mg 4X a day, Now mind you I have been for the past 10 years having reactions to penicillin and other meds, so i did inform theses drs. of this as my father n siblings have also, but mine seems to be severe NOW! Then all heck broke loose. Now during the time of the keflex i still was not sleeping and the pains in muscles did not stop. everything from the lev, was still there n the keflex just added. It gave me gastritis, vaginititis, n colitis, n the dr. put me back on until the burning was unreal. Have had 7 months of pains,anxiety,numbness, tingles, acid reflux, weight lose, n reactions to every pill made. can not take zantac swelled my throat,use to take it yrs. ago. omeprazole bad to thats where the numbness has come after taking, prednisone took 2 days n my throat became inflamed n more muscles went crazy. can not take Tylenol or Ibuprofen. I have been so sick mind in a fog can barely function,Xmas was tough had to have my mother who is 75. come take care of my family n me n to take me to dr. appt. which there has been a ton, NO answers they were telling my family it was me, I was feeling like giving up crying all the time because i did not know how to let people know or how to make them see that this was not me.Finding this web site has help me keep my sanity, and show my family look this is me, I am slowly having better days as my body detoxes, but scared when i will need meds. trying to find natural ways but is slow n not sure where to go or trust. I tried to get an allergist immunologist to test me n he said these things can not happen, and refused to test me. I am on a quest to find other ways, as 2 of my children are reacting like me and it will be just a matter of time before something does this to them. My 28 yr. old has helped me alot she knew what was going on. So now she is worried what is down the road for her, my 13 got sick while i have been and received a penicillin and she started having anxiety n heart palps, n still now she gets heart palps. As i said it is in the family but it is more severe in me n my kids are having reactions sooner. So if any one has any other options for me to look into please let me know. I am about 50% back to where i was, but it has been life changing, diet has changed, no more bad stuff, coffee, quit smoking, etc. its not hard to do when you hurt n feel so bad u try anything. Try this is so long but something has got to be done about these drugs. Mainly antibiotics, My research has come up with numbers of 150,000 people die from these types of drugs, That the drug companies put drs. thru school, That mainly women this happen to, Now i know that the drugs are important and have help millions of people i just don't like the fact that they know that some of us this will happen or even kill us, They need to find solutions for us, the ones that they have harmed permanently, and not deny the drugs caused these problems. I have been taking Lamictal for months (not really sure due to the memory loss from taking this drug).
I can't seem to remember ANYTHING. My spelling has been reduced to a 4th grade level and trying to find the correct words in a conversation is horrible. The lack of coordination is only a slight problem, mostly at night. I started on 25mg nightly and currently taking 400mg. Nausea, vomiting, depression, feeling guilty about everything I have everdone or said, headache.
I am going to tell my doctor about these symptoms and hopefully he will reduce my dosage. I didn't have all theses problems on lower dose.

im sorry but this is sad.all theses different people on here saying they having the same effects that im having.thats scary.and i have an doctor that would not listen,i feel if you have an doc.that cant listen to his patient sometimes on visit he or she is not for you.all i can say and will say we are slowly but shopwluy killing are selfs taking this med.thats suppose to help us.me myself ive been taking lisinopril5mg for about 6yrs and haven't had any side effects to my knowledge.but for the last 3 months my doctor says i have protein in my urine so she wants to change the dose of my 5mg.to20mg so i said ok causes the doc suppose to know there patient.but how could thy if they don't listen to them.but anyways ive been on 20mg for about a month and i feel terrible,i feel like my body just tired and wanna shut down so ive not taking it fopr 3days now haven even spoken to my doctor about it will.

I take nuvaring for a year by now, get a lot of symptoms but I just realized with my husband that my problems are just caused by my medication. After I have read all of yours posts, I REALLY think theses come from this. My symptoms are the following: shortness of breath, night sweats, trouble sleeping, nightmares, depression, anxiety and problems with my skin. Don't take that!!

I thought something was wrong with me when I was irritable all the time I was constantly on edge. Thought of my husband touching or even having sex with me grossed me out and he thought it was him. I have been on the ring for 2 months after having my third daughter and I was excited because I could never remember to take a pill so I thought this was the way to go. I first started having vaginal burning and I thought maybe this was happening because this was something new. Then I have been having abdominal cramping and such. I am now deciding that I should take this out because some of you women on here are having these issues after using this for many years, and it's only been a few months and I am having theses issues. I would rather try something else then to have no sex drive what so ever.

I too was given 20 days of 750 mg each of Levaquin and felt a pop in my shoulder while rolling over in bed and not have intense pain there which is probably my rotator cuff tear. But I also experience the most crippling intense pain to both my knees and lower back. My knees felt swollen and very painful to where I couldn't even get out of a chair, climb steps , sit on the toilet. I am a paramedic and am seriously considering leaving this job after over 25 years due to this pain. I have had some minor dizziness and some mood swings. I went to the doctor after being off Levaquin for 1 week and told her of my symptoms and she put me on a Prednisone pack which has helped me with my back and knee pain to the point where I can walk with little pain but it didn't help my shoulder pain with decrease strength in it. I don't know yet if this is a permanent cure for my knee pain or back pain. As far as my shoulder, I believe that I tore the rotator cuff and will need surg. I have also heard that prednisone is not good to take with levaquin. I was prescribed prednisone prior to taking levaquin and wonder if that started all the problems. AND OF COURSE MY DOCTOR DID NOT TELL ME OF THE SIDE EFFECTS WHEN EITHER OF THESES DRUGS WERE PRESCRIBED. But at this point, trying prednisone after completing the levaquin DEFINITELY helped my knee pain.

I've been on Femcon for the last 8 months and in the beginning it was fine, but these last 2 months have become a complete nightmare for me. I've gone into a serious depression. I'm completely bipolar and feel anxious most days. I'll start crying over nothing, and feel frustrated by my life, which let me tell you there is nothing to complain about. I feel tired a lot of the time, and can't get out of bed some times. I'll go to the gym and feel good while I'm working out but when I'm done i feel blah and unhappy. I missed my period one month and was freaking out that I might have been pregnant...it's making me insane because I'm usually so happy go lucky.....it's a relief that I'm not really crazy!

I kind of think CNN and the FDA are intellegent enough to figure out that they should NOT get information off this website. What makes everyone think all these posts are real? First you have to weed out the pranksters who post here for fun, then you have to weed out the competitors to Merck who post here to bust chops, and then you have to weed out the ones who really have a psychiatric condition and get their jollies by posting made up stories.....shall I go on? This is the INTERNET people!!! Anyone with one, two or ten verifyable emails can sign up (I have 11 email addresses myself). I have been intrigued to see the same people posting under multiple user names. Then you go to the other boards and see them there. If you really study these messages you can figure them out. So my point is, NOT ALL THESES STORIES ARE REAL. I think I would be generous in saying 25% of these posts are legit. I would hope that no government agency or news agency is going to risk their reputation on a public forum message board.

My son who is 6 now was taking singulair when he was 4 he too started acting violently, was having awful anger issues and then started talking about suicide and depression. he stopped taking the medicine a year ago and his symptoms have somewhat started to go away but not very much.. I was wondering if anyone knew whether theses effects could be long lasting after the medication has stopped?

I had been on doxycycline for 4 1/2 days. I was out in the sun by the pool briefly on day 2 with 45 sunsreen - no problem. On day 4 was out by the pool with 45 sunscreen and within 15 minutes I began to feel strange. My face and arms and hands felt like they were burning. I went in the pool to cool off and found that my hands felt like pins and needles, like I had put them in menthol, and that I had fine string on the tops of my hands. (I didn't. It was just that sensation). I called the doctor who didn't think I was having an allergic reaction and suggested I take my next dose as prescribed to determine whether these symptoms were actually from the doxycycline, to which I said "no thank you." I'd really rather have theses symptoms dissipate than possibly escalate. This is day 5 and the symptoms have decreased but my hands are still tingly in water even with rubber gloves on. Additionally, I am also allergic to penicillin. Is anyone else? by lmhsea

I have been on this pill for 5 months and it has been a nightmare. I started to get acne again. My weight jumps high/low. My mood swings changes happy to depressed and i don't even know why. I have never had a problem with vaginal dryness which caused me to have painful intercourse, urinary track infection, vaginal infections, tender/swollen breast, spotting (1st three months) very bad cramps, dry skin, can't sleep. I even had sex the other day and he hit a spot and it hurt for like a min. but after that min thats when i began to cry. I couldnt stop. He felt so bad and said whats wrong and i told him i dont know b/c i didnt know. I felt like an idiot. And i always think that i am preganent from all these problems.

I never had these problems when i was on yazmin. Im switching back to yasmin next week. I never has theses problems and i have been on yazmin for 2 years. I only switched b/c i wanted shorter periods. I would never refer this pill to anyone!

This is my first "Day" on Femcon FE and I already have the WORST headache ever since I took it. I'm also Very tired and have already taken a nap today. I previously was on Loestrim 24 for 3 months, that too was HELL!! The only reason why I am trying theses pills is because my Doctor has free samples of them. I am going back to paying $20 a month to feel like my self again!!!!

Hey ladies, mayb u can help me! ever since starting yasmin 4 months ago (goin on 5th) i feel not myself.. i used to love eating salad, hot dogs, or w/e but since being on it i cant eat any of it!! and after i eat something i feel nausated (sp) my periods are longer too its sad!! im only 19! has any of u had theses symptoms and if soo please help and tell me how you got through it. thanks

My son was dignosed with Asthma since he was about 3-4months old. Been using Singulair since his was about 6 months old ever since then his behavior was cranky,restless and very irritable. I never could have imagine it was this medicine. Now he's 5yrs and behaviors at Home and Preschool are the same and worst he can't concentrate, figitty Staring Spells Rolling of his eyes and At home he's very moody, Hyperactive and a very vivid imagination. My son tells me that his body feels itchy. In the past Ive told my sons doctors about concerns about this medicine and i was assured it was ok after reading theses posting I'm getting rid of this medication and am going back to see my sons doctor.

IM GLAD IM NOT ALONE WHEN IT COMES TO TAKING THIS DRUG KNOWN AS APO-SULFATRIM,I DEVELOPED CHEST TIGHTNESS,NAUSEA,VERY TIERED,FEELING RATHER SICK,UNCOMFORTABLE,HAD TO TAKE MEDICATION TWICE A DAY .80MG EACH.I THOUGHT AT ONE POINT ,I WAS GOING TO DIE,I THOUGHT I WAS HAVING A HEART ATTACK,UNABLE TO EAT,IT WAS SUCH A EFFORT,AS THIS IS SERIOUS ,I WANTED TO LET YOU KNOW THAT THIS IS HOW I FELT USING THIS DRUG,COULDNT FINISH THREW THEM DOWN THE TIOLET,NOT TO LONG AFTER A YEAST INFECTION CAME ,THEN I TRETED THAT WITH MONISTATE 7 ,NOW TODAY I FEEL WAY BETTER,MY ADVICE TO YOU IS PLEASE IF YOU NOTICE ANY OF THESES SYMPTOMS ,ITS BETTER TO GET A SECOND OPINION,DISREGARD UNTILL YOU ARE SURE.

I have been suffering with anxiety and panic attacks for 2 weeks none stop, I can't stop worrying about everything I feel sick from the moment I get up and go to bed with worry, I worry I have a bad illness etc, I have been checked out by the doc and he said I have anxiety, my main symptoms are a funney hot feeling in my ear and i feel like my head is floating.
I dont understand why this is happening I have realised that I stopped yasmin about 6 weeks ago and i am getting upset reading all of theses messages.
could my anxiety/symptoms be due to stopping this pill?

I have been taking omeprazole generic for prilosec for about 3-4 months now and have been experiencing dry mouth and a cracked tongue as well as my taste buds on my tongue are always irratated. Does anyone else have theses symptoms?

Time will tell. If you were like me and are experiencing all theses horrific side effects, then you would think differently.
I am happy for you that the medicine works as intended.
There are many of us for whom that is not the case.
We just want the medical community to acknowledege this fact before others who are effected and are not diagnosed correctly.

I found your info by searching on the web and wanted to share my problems.

I was taking Pravachol for almost a year and had no problems. My physician wanted to get my LDL lower under new guidelines so he put me on 20mg of Lipitor in mid July 2004. In early September 2004, I noticed that the balls of my feet and toes felt like they were 'asleep' and my face was tingling. I asked my doctor about this and he sent me to a neurologist who did MRI's and MRA's and found nothing. They took my sugar readings and I came in at 130 after fasting 2 times. He says I have diabetes which is in the family. He's not too sure this is causing my symptoms so he's now sending me for a second opinion with another neurologist. I asked him if the change to lipitor could have precipitated theses symptoms(at my wife's urging). He said no.

I feel like I am a Zombie at times. He gave me 1800mg of neurontin for 10 days. This did absolutely nothing for me.

Everybody thinks I'm going Bonkers!!

I am a 49 years old and felt great until recently. Any help would be appreciated and if you would like more info let me know.
