If anyone else is preparing for a class action suit please contact me so our attourneys can share information. The more of us that stick together the better chances we have of making the Merck company pay for thier lies about the so called "Mild Side Effects of Singulair!

This medication should be taken off the market. I went to my Dr. and teh Emergency room for them to tell me I was not having a reaction. My heart was racing to over 110 while my normal resting heart beat is 66. I was trembling inside my body and hands. The worst was the tightness in my chest that felt like anxiety. I could barely breath. I have never had anxioty so they wanted to give me something for that. But what about the other symptons, swollen tough, bruising and sleeplessness. None of it was worth it. I also began seeing cats in my house. I dont have cats. Scary, painful medication and I am extremely worried that DR.and the Medical companies are not fully aware of how dramatic and common these side effects are. Thier site doesnt list out many of these like trembling, high heart rate and intense anxiety, which is very concerning. If you are feeling any of the symptoms here and they are bothering you demand that your Dr. listen and perscribe a new medication if needed. Good Luck and thanks to all of you who shared. I thought I was going crazy.

I am reading these posts and see a horrible pattern of doctors not informing their patients of the possible side effects of this product. I, too, was informed by my doctor that the side effects we minimal. HA! The mood swings are brutal and the night sweats/hot flashes are almost hourly! I've also had localized chest pain beyond my left breast (like a muscle pull) since about a week after receiving the shot. I will be having an endometrial ablation in 2 weeks and this dose of Lupron will have worn off by the beginning of December and I can't wait!

I'm so glad that I found this page. I injured my back 3 years ago and have been taking prescribed opiods for the pain. Recently got a bad UTI that lasted 3 months and they thought it spread to my kidneys, so they put me on Levaquin. The first 2 days nothing but soreness,I felt like I had been held down and beat with a bat. The 3rd day I noticed some swelling on my ankles and attributed it to working and standing on my feet all day. By the 6th day(this past Saturday) I can barely stand my knees and hips hurt so bad that I cut short my training with my Thoroughbred Shelby. I even had to ask my husband to come with me so that I could at least get him brushed out and groomed. I couldn't even hold a large groom brush. I literlly have to roll out of bed and try to prop myself up. My hands and wrists are so swollen that it's hard to just sit up on the side of the bed, and my lower legs, ankles and feet are all pitting edema with pain in every joint and difficulty just standing and walking is even harder. Thank God I have a cane that I use intermittently for my back. Here I was worried that my kidney's had shut down. I also have been looking on the net and found all my symptoms related to Levaquin. I'm not taking this any more.
This drug is dangerous, like others here, not 1 doctor even said a word about this side effect/ allergic reaction I could have. Not even the pharmacist. Sickening. All for a buck in their pocket.

I am still trying to figure out all this yasmin stuff. I am the one whose 13 yr old daughter was given yasmin as sorta a favor because she was having long periods. It seem to me that yes, yasmin or yaz whatever the difference is works well for lots of people. Thats great i'm glad to hear that. What about the handful of women/girls that it does not work well for even potentially dangerous. I am starting to thinkl that the ones that have had bad reactions to this are the ones that didn't have good followup with thier obgyn. It seems to me that there is sometimes no association made with bcp and some of these adverse reactions. I mean when my daughter started to get sick and stuff I took her to the pediat. not the ob/soccer mom. I just happened to stumble upon this site in my own desperation to figure out why my daughter has been and is so chronically tired all the time. I do wish when I recieved these sample packs of strong hormones that i would have been told of things to look for. Honestly ,I don't think this doctor knew of these side effects. I will say they stopped the bleeding she hasn't been on yasmin since the end of march and still hasn't had a period. I was told this should be out of her system by now. I don't believe that though.

I also received an injection over a year ago, for a respiratory
infection. The site in which it was given, (hip area), has quite a large indentation from it. My question to anyone who can
answer is, has anyone noticed an indentation anywhere
else on thier body. (Not counting where the injection was given)???? I have noticed an area on the opposite side of
my body(leg area) an indentation. Getting quite nervous
about all of this. I also am noticing shortness of breath.
Thank you.

I had chronic swelling in the tip of my nose from surgery. Kenalog returned my nose to normal. The side effects these people have all experienced are awful, but they are less than two percent of the population. Thier Dr.s should have told them of the possible side effects so they could have made a more informed decision. I always ASK my Dr. about interactions with other medications and side effects. I kind of think if something is going in my body, its my responsibility to learn everything I can about it. Sorry to those with bad results, but this drug has help hundreds of thousands of people.

It's been over 6 months after i stop taking Yasmin. I am wondering if anyone else is having problems with thier periods after taking this pill. I am late every month about 1-2 weeks. I usually have PMS for the whole 2 weeks before my period comes. If anyone has a good solution to help get me period back on track I would love to hear it!! I do not want to switch to another pill. Thanks!

I have not experienced any hair loss or weight gain with this drug. I take Depakote 250 milligrams 3x per day for migraine headaches. Once in the morning, and two in the evening. What I do get is an unbelievable case of indegestion. I always make it a point to eat when taking this medication. I was also wondering if anyone has had a decrease, in thier sexual desire ? Being on this drug? any comments would be greatly appreciated

Hi All,
I have experienced all the side effects that you are going through. I think i may have had a stroke from this medication at the age of 31. That is certainly not normal. I would say to anyone going on this med. DONT AND IF YOU ARE STOP TAKING IT. Dont let doctors tell you its your only choice. There are alternatives. Acupunture has done wonders for me, she also gives me Moxa Rolls which have been known to eliminate the disease. Also find a local support group for Endo. They are in most City's. Ladies we must stick together on this becuase no one seems to care about this disease. Thier is also an alternitve doctor his name is DR. Redwine. Have not met him but he has some different theorys on the disease. Lets also put some pressure on Issurance Co. to cover more alterntive treatments such as acupunture and massage therepy which have proven to work. After these treatmenst my pain is now minumal.
Good Luck,
Erica

As you read this you may wonder what this has to do with you or the drug Levaquin.Read on and you will see. Simply put \"Antibotics are poisons that are meant to kill. Only licensed physicans can prescribe antibiotics; we mere mortals cannot. Antibiotics are used to kill bacteria. Certainly, many have benifited from thier use; but if bacteria was the only organisms that antibiotics killed, this site would be unnecessary .We take antibiotics when we are sick, when our \"immune systems are down\".Yet all mycotoxins are immunosuppressants. I contend that any poison that kills small organisms in small doses can also kill big organisms in big doses. You and I are big organisms.
An adult has approximately three to four pounds of benifical bacteria and yeast in the intestines. Each competes for nutrition from the host-you.The competion from the benifical bacteria keeps the ever present yeast into check and allows them to produce necessary nutrients, including B vitamins. When antibiotics upset the delicate balance of the interestinal terrain, yeast grow unchecked into large colonies and the intestines are inhibited by hostile mircrobes, a condition called "dysbiosis".
Every time, not just sometimes, antibiotics are swallwed, they kill benifical bacteria within the intestines.Yeast are opportunistic organisms. As the intestinal bacteria terrian terrain erodes, yeasts thrive, especially when thier dietary cravings are met.\"with grains\",sugar is also a grain. Tendrils on the yeast, called hyphae literally poke holes through the lining of the intestines, a syndrome called leaky gut. It is known that (NSAIDS) Like Naprycin and Tylenol can enhance the gut leakage.
As early as 1950, two female researchers in Albany,NY,understood the adverse Physiological events caused by antibiotics. For years they worked on a soil-based organism that prevented dysbiosis caused by antibiotics. They called thier discovery "Nystatin" after New York State. This antifungal drug kills organisms, hence the term antibiotic is applied to it as well. But this revolutionary antibiotic stopped yeast overgrowth caused by all other antibiotics and was 100 percent safe to use . Amazingly, Nystatin caused no side effects. though it can cause a "die off " A responce which is often confused to side effects.
In 1957, 340 antibiotics were tested for thier toxicity. As described in The Handbook of Toxicity, editor Dr.William S. Spector used mice and rats to determine antibiotic toxicity. He stated,\"by using a larger number of animals of comparitive weight and sex for each level tested, attempts are now bieng made to determine more percisely the dose which will kill 50 percent\".This is referred to as\"LD50\", or lethal dose for 50 percent of the mice. One must wonder how perscriptive doses of these very same antibiotics were established in humans before 1957! We beg the question that if a given dose of penicillan will kill 50 percent of the mice tested,isn\'t it logical to assume that a larger dose, perhaps repetitive doses extended over forty years, might prove fatal to human? It is the time span between taking antibiotics and death that intersest me.Do people really die of heart disease and diabeties, or do antibiotics cause these diseases? A death certific!
ate will state the probable cause of death and never question whether the deceased had a history of taking antibiotics! the fact that antibiotics are fungal metabolites and have been implicated by scientic literature as contributing to death in man should be considered. Why does it seem to be so difficult to assume antibiotics are directly or indirectly linked with death when immunodeficiency and and death are so intimately linked?Max Planck , Nobel Prize winning Physicist , probably answered these questions best when he surmised as to why science is slow to change even in the presence of so much factual date, such as indicated here on this site.Planck said,\"A new scientific truth does not triumph by convincing its opponents and making them see the light, but rather because its opponents eventually die off and a new generation grows up that is familiar with the ideas from the beginning.\"
That a new generation will grow up knowing the dangers inherant in taking antibiotics is a good thing. That Dr.s will continue randomly prescribing fungal toxins should teach us the importance ofknowing medical facts before blindly accepting any new prescription. Please study the antimircrobial benifits and the immune system stimulants that nature provides. If you have reached the point where no alternitive exist,i recomend that you ask your Dr. to prescribe \"Nystatin\" and use it with your antibiotic. Also restoring the intestinal terrain with a Probiotic.
The reason for such a lenthy statement ,is that I care that there are people suffering because of this toxin that is gladly given to us. I recieved Levaquin pre-op, before a surgery,I was prescribed Bactrim DS for two weeks prior to surgery for an ruptured occulted epidermal cyst, I could not take the drug for nausea I took two tablets. No more. At time of surgery they tried to administer Leviquin.I had had it in my IV for about three - to five minutes and started to have an allergic reaction to it.Itching redness to the arm ,hand and wrist. I am thinking they stopped it.The nurse told the Dr. she stopped it. Thay supposedly ordered a differant antibiotic. And prescribed Biaxin XL. I never took any of the antibiotics at home.Just what was given to me in surgery.I came home from out patient surgery same day.For three days my arm where the IV administered the Leviquin was sore in joints that I could hardly move and it has been two weeks and it is still the same, but more, my
rib cage and neck was so sore that I felt like I had been in a wrestling match. The surgery was in the perineal area. No reason for anything above to be painful. I immediately started using my alternitive medicines, Probiotics and Olive Leaf Extract , an antifungal. With fairly good results. You see, I didn't need those antibiotics after all.The key to life is a good diet.Go figure! Be Blessed And Well.

I am sorry sorry that so amny of you here have experienced all these horrible side effects. I guess I am lucky that after seven days of levaquin, Three weeks after stopping it, my biggest complaint is the rash hasn't quite left and I am itchy and dry, still have some muscle tightening and cramping in calf muscles.
The people who say " I have taken this drug with little or no side effect" Thats all fine and well and i am truly happy for you.....But people who are saying " It's people like you who don't finish thier medication and then wonder why drugs aren't working anymore," and " You all need to not blame everything on the drug and maybe some of these so called side effects are just caused by your pre-existing diseases and condition" I truly hope you sceptics and scoffers and critics never suffer or have anyone you love suffer from one of these drug reactions, because you WILL become a believer real fast. And furthermore I was perfectly healthy before I took this drug.

I have had 3 shots at 6 month intervals and the last was probably about a year ago. My doctor and nurse did not inform me of any side effects.
My hayfever remained and I developed a rough patch of skin on top of right buttock which developed into a dent. The skin inside the dent which is about 3 thumbsizes wide and deep is uneven and looks celulittey it is often a purpley colour. I was sent to see a specialist dermatologist at hospital who proceeded to do a biopspy. Still no mention of kenalogue... The biopsy was inconclusive and they decided I may have morphoea which they treated me for - unsuccessfully.
I recently saw a specialist for my hayfever who found out about my kenalog jabs and warned me off it saying it was dangerous for muscles. I put 2 and 2 together saw this site and realise now that all I have been mistreated for morphoea, put through a biopsy and all for nothing. Kenalog has caused my indentation.
I am angry and considering legal action - they have wasted my time for the last year of not knowing and being mis treated and more importantly why are we not told that this drug poses such unpleasant side effects. I would never have had it done if I'd known!!!!
Our doctors did not give us all the information about this drug so we could make an informed choice! We are victims of thier neglect!

I took Levaquin (500mg) for 10 days for a sinus infection with a nasty cough. (non smoker)
My heels began to hurt as did my right shoulder at day 4.
I had strange transient pains in my right index finger at day 6.
It took two weeks AFTER the last dose before my joint pains abated.
This antibiotic was very effective against my sinus infection.
I read about the possible side effects and I avoided exercise during the course of this drug.
All, in all. I am happy with the results. I am so glad to be rid of my sinus infection. It was worth the transient side effects (joint pain).
Any drug has side effects. This illustrates how important it is for people to be responsible for their own health and to
insist on complete information from both thier doctors and their pharmacists.
Be well.

Wish I had read this site before starting with Flomax. Whereas it did take care of the frequentcy of urination problems at night, several other problems reared thier ugly heads. Among them were decresed sex drive, less firm erection, insomnia, dizziness and some depression.
Wish that my doctor had been more spacific with me on the side-effects and hadn't just said "try this for a while."

i was prescribed 50mg Metoprolol i took it the first morning n i work nights so i went to sleep n woke up feeling sick n left side of my face was numb i wasn't able to work that night. didn't feel right the whole night. second day i took it it wasn't keeping my bp down so i called and doc said take two so 100 mg of Metoprolol. I will tell you first thing i felt was numbness getting worse was scared i had a stroke, was sick, anxiety n panic attacks thru the roof. i finally took a xanex to help me go to sleep as i wasn't able to work that night either. and i woke up with my whole body trembling n shaking and a headache in the back of my head i rubbed my neck and it eased up tho. but the shaking continued for around an hour and i tried to talk to my dad because i felt like i was about to die or something and was chattering so bad it was difficult to talk. I took my xanex to calm that down and it helped calm it again. that was after 4 pills. and the doc was going to increase the mg to 100 no way i quit it this morning went and got my other prescriptions filled bisoprolol and lisinopril they don't just keep my bp down the best but they sure don't give me those side effects that keep me from even functioning. Im thru with Metoprolol. there are too many others out thier that can help besides this particular one. God bless anyone suffering these effects i almost forgot if you have anxiety n panic attacks then taking this for me multiplied them by about 10. Good Luck and thanks for listening.
