Well, I have had 4 infusions for Ulcerative Colitis. I have had several side effects but none that seem to serious....I don't think. Anyway, I keep having problems with my ankles after each infusion. Once they swelled up and a large red spot appeared and I was unable to walk on it for 24 hours then the swelling went down and a week late it happened to the other ankle. The next infusion a blood vessel in my ankle swelled so large I thought it would bust I elevated it and that helped. Then swelling went down after a few hours but the area turned black and blue and took a week to go away. Now I have a cough and sour throat..... so I really don't know. I go for my next infusion the end of Sept. We'll see what happens then.

In skimming through these posts, I think I only saw one other that mentioned nasal problems. I have been on NR for almost two years, and it only recently occurred to me that that may be around the time my congestion problems started. I have chronic sinus congestion and fluid in my ears, and am on Flonase and Singulair. The worst thing is that I have constant chest congestion and have to clear my thoat constantly...I drive myself and my family crazy! I have had a chest x-ray with normal results, but sometimes I feel like my lungs are drowning in mucus! Oh, and after reading these posts, my husband will be very glad to know that NR apparently kills the sex drive. I have had no interest for quite awhile now and just thought it was my age. (I'm 47).

I had my Mirena device inserted in June 2008. It is now September (3 months later) & I am experiencing a few of the side effects as other users here have indicated.

Insertion was extremely painful & I had to rest in the doctor's office for about 45 min before I could go home. Really painful periods. Month 1 lasted over 2 weeks. I had to get pain pills from doctor because the cramps were so bad & were waking me up at night. The headaches started about a month or so ago, thought it was allergies but now I'm not so sure. My throat has been tightening with the headaches & no one has mentioned this particular side effect. One person mentioned dry throat. I feel as if I cannot swallow.

I definitely have stomach bloating, but no hair loss or decreased sex drive. I do have discharge everyday, not much but it is smelly & embarrassing. Sometimes I wear tampons a few days after my period has disappeared because I can smell myself. The guy I am dating won't go down on me, because we both know something is up. I was never this way before. Now the headaches are scaring me & so is this site.

I had my mirena place in June of 07 and since then I have felt like I am DYING! I have been to the ER 4 times in two months with terrible headache pain, with tingling and numbness on the entire left side of my body. Doctors have run every test imaginable, and say I am totally healthy. I have constant pain in my thoat/neck area that runs down my left arm and shoulder and leg. Note- I am 25 years old with 3 kids and otherwise healthy. Every morning I wake up and wonder how much longer I can live like this. I'm so glad I found this website_ now I know it is the mirena. No doubt that constant release of extra hormone will effect and alter the function of your body. This is an unnatural form of birth control and I'm having it removed!

I have been taking Lisinopril since Jan 07. Since I started taking the medication I have noticed blurred vision along with floaters. My eyes feel as if they have sand paper in them constantly. My stomach is bloated and hurts. My joints and muscles ache constantly. I have had several episodes of confusion. TIRED!, I am tired every day, having to take daily naps. I sleep 8-10 hours at night and wake up exausted! I feel unmotivated because I am tired most of the time. I also have the constant tickle in my throat along with a cough. I woke up the other night coughing so much I left the room so not to disturb my husband.

I am glad I found this site. I might have continued to attribute these side effects to getting older, not quite over the cold I had 3 weeks ago., eyes are bothering me because I work on the computer all day. I never had these symptoms until I began to use the Lisinopril.

Well, I took my last Yasmin on Saturday, but I'm still debating whether or not I will stay on it, I have a gyno appointment next Tuesday. I can't decide if I should just stay on it until I go in or if I should go off it completely and see what he says. Does anyone ever feel like they have something stuck in their throat. I know you can get that feeling from anxiety but I think mine is something else because my thoat and chest often feel tight. Also, even though my pulse is over 100 bpm my blood pressure is usually only 106/60

I have had major asthma problems for years - usually needing prednisone 3 or 4 times a year, using albuterol inhaler around the clock. I have been using Advair for about 2 months now and I have had absolutely no asthma attacks at all. I can exercise and feel like a normal person for the first time in years. I have had several side effects that are problematic - one of them being dizziness, scratchy thoat and chronic sinus congestion. What is worse, debilitating asthma or a chronic sinus infection? I have decided breathing is better than anything so I will stay on it.

Has completely eliminated stridor and made breathing much easier.
But now there is an ever present frog in my throat and I constantly feel the urge to clear my thoat. This feels to be around the epiglottis area. Ocassionally I am able to expectorate a small amount of viscid phlegm which breaks loose from the bottom of my throat,(not my lungs).
