I went on NuvaRing almost exactly 1 month ago. Everything was fine initially. I noticed some weight gain, but that's to be expected when switching medications (I'd been on a low dose pill for years). I had no issues with sex, no headaches, no cramps, and my skin didn't break out like it normally does before my period. I took NR out on Monday and immediately became seriously depressed. I felt paranoid, suspicious of my boyfriend, and overall thought I was going crazy. I am still so miserable. I'm supposed to put my new ring in on Monday, but after reading this site, I think I'm going to call my doctor and ask her to refill my old script instead. The side effects of NR are not worth the simplicity of not having to remember to take the pill.

hi guys! about four months ago my doctor switched me from ortho tri cyclen lo(which I had been on for two years) to yasmin. It was the worst experience I have ever had in my entire life. About a week into the medicine I started getting horrible headaches, terrible anxiety and suicidal thoughts. I was sooo scared from this medicine that I stopped taking it thinking that everything was going to get better! Well wasnt I wrong. I developed OCD really bad to a point where I would sit and worry that I would hurt someone I loved or that I would hurt myself. and I had disturbing thoughts in my head that made my anxiety worse. I have been off the medicine for like 4 months and I am now taking 50 mgs of zoloft for my OCD, anxiety, and depression. I am unsure that it is working yet it's only been two weeks! I hope and pray eveyday that I finally start feeling myself! It's been horrible! Has anyone had this experience from this medicine? and if so do you think that I should get a hormone test, because I am almost convinced from reading other posts that my hormones are wacky! Well thanks for reading! and I hope everyone feels better! :)

My son is 7 and has been taking singulair for about 3 1/2 years, we first noticed that he was rowdy and very tempermental, he also had trouble sttling down at night. The Dr. didn't put much faith in my concern for the medication. Recently he has tried to seriously harm himself and has been quite down, we have seen the Dr. and he has never once woried about the side effects of the medication. i came across some very disturbing information in the canadian cps boo that supported my theory and have taken him off the medication, within the first few days he seemed very down, but has now returened to my fun loving sweet little boy. Thanks to everyone for sharing I would never have thougth to pursue this if there were not other parents who had the same experience.

I have been on Yasmin for 5 months and about 2 months ago I have a major panic attack and thought I was having a hard attack it happened when I was in class and I called 911. I had never had problems with anxiety before and I thougth it was because I was going through problems with Anorexia. So I kept taking the pills and from then on I have major anxiety and depression, I know believe, after reading this website that it is from YASMIN!! I can't believe a pill can effect you that much. I have always been a happy person and I have never felt like I do now I am currently on the pill but I want to stop taking it. I have 3 pills left and I am done with this month, can I stop immediately or do I have to finish out the pack?? Thanks Sar
