I have noticed changes in my memory, and felt very fatigued when I first started the warfarin. The fatigue has tapered off after 5 months but I notice more changes in memory lately. I get off the med in one more month. I found the best way to control drug levels is to eat at least one frozen meal a day with a lot of vegetables, such as a Lean Cuisine that is advertised as having twice as many vegetables as a regular lean cuisine...then I eat dinner and limit leafy green vegetable intake. I'm also not positive of this, but sometimes it is harder to control when I drink a lot of green tea. Hope this helps someone.

I've gone off asmanex 2 days ago.

hi kate,
just reading your post and i am shocked your doctor would consider puting you on yasmin. Because any bcp will thicken your blood surely it cannot be safe for you given you suffer from mitral valve prolapse.
please reconsider your choices. and certainly do not take yasmin or yaz.
i dont think either of them are good.
So many women here have suffered from anxiety and other problems from those pills. Is there another choice for you to help with the cysts.
Maybe if you log onto flowerbabies new site one of the women on there might know or have experience with this.
The link is posted below.
If i could just stop one more woman from starting on ths pill l i would be happy.
I hate to think of any body else suffering the way i did.
Research your choices first kate.
Good luck.

Hi Sarah,
Thanks for replying. I can't believe how badly I screwed up my body with ths stupid drug. Hopefully things will improve now I'm just past the three month mark off it.
Although I take my Levothyroxine daily, I'm not allowed to take supplementary female hormones ever again because of the stroke, so I doubt it's worth me getting my levels tested. But my research did suggest it's an estrogen/progesterone imbalance that causes the shakiness/dizziness.
Hang in there everyone, and let's hope 2007 is a better year for all.

After taking lipitor 6 weeks, both of my upper arms down to my elbows began to ache 27/7. Some leg and back muscle pain also. My VA doctor took me off lipitor 8 weeks ago. The pain continues. I just started taking 3000 mg Vit. C daily to hopefully lower or eliminate muscle pains. Any one know of a cure for this awful muscle pain? My VA doctor doesn't have a clue what to do for it. ths.

Dear Chrissy,
heart palpitations have subsideddramatically and even though at ovulatoin time this month i had some they were SO MUCH BETTER than last month, have noticed that pulse has slowed at times so its not racing every minute of everyday as it wsa on yasmin and the past two months, is that how it went for you.... Took my pulse few times this week at its slowed a lot so thats encouraging and the blood pressure thing not too sure as i am going to be rechecked in a month as i was just stressing so much about that i thought give it another month and pay it by ear, another sign i guess that the anxiety is easing as a month ago i would have gone to hospital with worry, so when i think im not doing better i look at all the little steps like you said and then you realise its no where near as bad as the past month so heres to hoping its all on ths up for now.
I will be away from the 17th thill the 25th off to perth for a holiday wit my husband and children so i hope you stay well and i look forward to catching up on all the reading on the site when i get home.
big hugs

I used Actiq and it ate the enamel off all of my teeth. I now need root canals on every tooth as well as having gum line carries The total cost for ths will exceed $50,000. I uderstand Cephalon is now including some type of dental warning but that doesen't help me!

I have not had the side effects that any of you are mentioning. I have been on Yasmine for 3 year and am 40 years of age. most of you are almost 20 years younger I am wouldering if ths is an age thing. with this pill. I have tried many of the other forms of B.C. and found this to be the best.
I am taking this to control harmone levels but it still works as a B.C.

Ths past week, I ended up in the emergency room with severe stomach pains. Turned out to be gallstones and I had my gallbladder removed. That was Tuesday I was admitted to the hospital. My DR. perscribed Levaquin by IV. The next morning, my entire face and throat were swollen, I was itching and had hives and rashes all over me. Today is now Sunday, and I'm still itching from head to toe. My worst itching is my head and hands. I had the same reaction to PCN, and I have added levaquin to my allergy alert.

Kenalog can be great and it can be bad. I had a bad accident and have a HUGE encapuslated scar around my chin and jaw. It makes my face have NO character and looks masculine and square. For the scarring I was told to massage it at first and it would dissipate with time. For the scar under my chin, where they put my jaw back together, I had what are called "dog ear" scars which are hanging skin really. A NOT very smart doctor injected me TOO close to the surface and it caused the colored indentation you ALL have been discussing. IT IS reversible. Two years later and lots of daily applications of retin-a (tretinoin) you can barely see that it ever was an indent nor discolored.
-- By lexi | Reply | Private Message meI was disappointed that my scarring under ths skin around the chin/jaw never did go away and found another doctor. This doctor VERY cautiously started, to my horrid fear as I thought this was "flesh eating bacteria" to offer and proceed, with my permission to give me injections. SLOWLY the scarring is going down, and today I went for treatment THREE with Kenalog 40 which is a higher dose than he had previously given. I have very fibrous scar tissue and he is very careful to actually go INTO the scar and not the skin. I am a bit worried that with the higher dose it may actually do some harm, but lets see and so far this doctor seems to REALLY know how to use this stuff. I think it is a great option for certain conditions and when used properly. I am hoping that you guys discuss with local specialists who is recommended in your region because the provider and their experience is important. You would not get breast implants from a dentist would you?
