Those of you that has experienced weight gain....do you think its because the Zoloft as increased your appetite? I can handel being tired and going to the bathroom all day... but I would be in worse shape if I gained weight....what else is more depressing!! My husband started Zoloft a few weeks ago for anxiet, and his main complaint is exhaustion. My OBGYN gave it to me for severe PMS.
Best of luck to everyone here....

I have been taking Topamax for almost a year now (100mg once daily at bedtime) and don't have a problem with this drug. It is a mood stabilizer for me, and as a recovering alcoholic I am told that it may help with that issue as well too. The first thing I noticed was that my sodas didn't taste good and since I started taking it before I got sober I thought my beer was flat and old as well. My feet sometimes go numb but I chalk that up to being a smoker and having poor circulation or sitting in wierd positions too. I didn't know about hair falling out or heart flutters, nor have I experienced anything but pleasure from a more "balanced" feeling, partly thanks to this drug. I truly believe it is an individual basis as to how each person reacts to a medication. I could not take Wellbutrin- had every bad side effect and then some. For many it has been successful. It is helpful to be aware of side effects but certainly one can't stay away from a drug based on another's experience with it. I give Topamax two thumbs up.

So I just have to say I love the Nuvaring. I have been on and off birth control since i was 18 and i am 24 now. I hated taking the pill i always forgot so i was always afraid. I was sketchy about the patch so when the nuvaring came out i was at my OBGYN in a flash. the only side affect is the discharge but it isn't bad and worth the convience... I give it 2 thumbs up!!!!

I took two of them with dinner and my pain went away within an hour. I did feel a bit dizzy, tired and run down, but that is the way i feel most evenings. I give a thumbs up!

I have been on Yasmin for a year and it seems to have worked out so far. I have lost a bunch of weight, but most of all, my period is on time and lasts for only 5 days instead of 10. I got a yeast infection withiin the first month of using it but that was all. The only other side effect that I have experienced is a very small amount of pinkish(blood) discharge right after my period(has happened twice). But thats a rare occurence also. My gyn says not to worry so I haven't. Overall, I love this pill. i have been on several others in the past, all with major side effects. As for my sex drive, it has greatly increased. 2 thumbs up to yasmin.

I'm on 40mg at night, and have been having good experiences with it before. I don't experience anxiety, if anything, I feel less anxious than I ever did before. I was on Risperdal and gained 75 lbs VERY quickly, even after changing my diet to low-cal, low-fat, and doing everything else in the book. Now I'm off that Risperdal garbage, on the 40 mg of Geodon, and couldn't be happier. I am bipolar, and don't experience the rapid cycling that I did before, even on the Risperdal. I'm considering asking my psychiatrist to take my oldest son OFF that Abilify mess that makes him miserable and put him on Geodon. Thumbs up from me!
